Lube me up, please! As a Western PA native, I have loved "The Lube" even before I tried it. I used to see a billboard on the way to Grandma's house for this quirky-named restaurant that advertised "Best Wings in the USA". Before they became a bigger chain, I convinced my Mom to make the 90+ minute drive in the Buick to Sharon, PA so I could have these wings. I was a foodie before foodies existed. Anyway, for some reason, they all closed down in the Pittsburgh area but they still have a location in Columbus, OH. And since it was close to my hotel in Westerville, I decided I NEEDED to coat my throat with the most amazing thick Arizona Ranch wing sauce. I used to eat an entire bucket of wings myself... and even downed an 18-wheeler back in the day (that's 1.5 buckets), but on this trip, I was good with a super sized single split between AZ Ranch (the best) and Golden Garlic (also a favorite). The wings were meaty and coated nicely. I tore my way through them and loved every bite. Wing prices everywhere are out of hand these days but it was worth it to me. If I could talk to my younger self in the car leering out the window at the Billboard, I'd tell him to buy gold instead. F Wings, am I right? But I spent it all on food instead, and am a happy, sauce-faced foodie because of it. read more

AMAZING. COME HERE FOR THE BEST WINGS IN OHIO. I've been to this establishment twice in last couple months, and I just had to come back because it's so good. I got a 6 piece of wings and mac n cheese. Both are really yummy. The inside is pretty cool because there's motorcycles and cars tied or something to the ceiling. They have arcade machines which scammed me last visit. That's my fault though, so that doesn't affect the rating. I didn't have enough money and I didn't get a refund but that's okay. Service was good both times. They were packed today so we didn't get our food until later. First visit there was only a couple people so we got our food really fast. 10000% recommend this place for wing lovers. read more

I know this place doesn't really promise anything more than beer and glorified bar food, but on a slow Thursday summer evening things were pretty bad. It took over a half hour for the order to actually be delivered and when my steak and rice bowl showed up it was a nice microwave meal at best. Located near Polaris Pkway, there is dedicated parking and easy access to the highway. It's a mechanic garage theme with cars and bikes hanging from the ceiling. It had lots of seating, and could accommodate large groups, plus direct bar seating. We arrived just at opening and there were many folks waiting in their car, which led me to believe it would end up very busy, but it was a fairly quiet Sunday lunch hour. We were seated quickly but the service after that was somewhat slow considering the lack of patrons. This place is known for wings and my husband dreams of traveling where they have them. I don't do wings, so my experience was more meh. Lots of wing flavors, my family opted for medium, golden garlic, Arizona ranch - which all got great reviews. I had the Curd Burger and it was just ok. The curds were yummy, but it also had Parm Garlic sauce, which didn't seem to have a lot of flavor. Going in, it just felt like it would be burst with flavor but it just wasn't. The fries were just mediocre and the Pretzel stick app was decent. I also had the Golden Caddy (Margarita), which likely wasn't worth the price but it had a kick. I personally don't need to return, but my wing loving family seemed to enjoy it. read more

I've always loved this place! From the cool car outside to all the awesome decor with cars literally hanging off the ceiling. It seems they have become Very popular I think I got lucky because Friday evening it wasn't busy at all. I was greeted nicely by the guy working at the front door and taking to my set close to the black corvette - everything was coming back to me and I was excited for it! We order the 5th wheeler as an appetizer and it didn't disappoint. Fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, two pretzels and onion rings. There was tasty sauces for everything on the plate. Very crispy and perfect starter to go with my tall Michelob ultra that came in a frosty mug and hit the spot. My husband got the rib dinner and wow they were so smoky And cooked to perfection. A friend and I stopped in on a Saturday for lunch while out and about in Polaris. I had seen this location multiple times but never tried. Navigating back to their parking lot is a bit rough - large pot holes along the roads. The inside of this location feels tired. There was a greasy smoky smell and haze in the entrance. The carpet felt worn down and other things looked worn too. The various race car memorabilia everywhere was fun to look at though - they have fully committed to the theme. Our server was attentive, and our food was okay. We also ordered alcoholic drinks which I didn't think were worth the value and took a while to arrive. Overall, I would prefer to go elsewhere for a burger and sides in the Polaris area for the same price. read more

Ordered take out. Rib eye, sweet potato fries plus grilled mushroom and onions. What I got was a tough as hell sirloin, regular fries that were almost raw and mushroom and onions that I had to saute. The Lube on Tuesady was our place early in our marriage, but we just dont eat like that so stopped going as much. After Saturday, we're done. So we got a coupon for BOGO brunch item. Never had the brunch but thought we would try. We hoped it would be like their lunch buffet, but was just menu items. That's fine. I got the burger and my wife the chicken and waffles. Starting with a cinnamon bun. The bun was terrible. Dry with practically no icing. Also, I know cinnamon has heat, but it tasted like it got wing seasoning on it. My burger was over cooked and tasteless. The freaking pepper jack cheese had no heat and the only sauce was the little egg yoke. My wife's meal was 4 small chicken tenders on a half of a waffle. All that for over $50 not including drinks. But we have BOGO. That will knock off the waffles at $13. Nope. They compted. The bun. Heads up. When you offer BOGO it assumed it us entree. Or say something. On top of that the service was terrible. Waitress didnt even know there was a brunch. We were the first people there but still took over 30 to get pur food. Finally she never came back for refills. A huge pet peeve. So, never again. read more

We live in Lancaster and we didn't know about their mistake until we got home. We will never go back. We paid full price and received half of what we paid for. Went on a weekday evening and there were only a total of 3 tables full. Waitress never offered refills on our drinks. She brought my grandson a strawberry shake rather than a strawberry sundae that he ordered. When it did arrive, it was only a cup of vanilla ice cream with maybe 1 diced strawberry on it. I heard the manager ask the staff several times what the matter was with the shake that we didnt want it and then she walked around looking at the tables like she was trying to find the culprit. Have tried 3 times because it's within walking distance from my hotel. I can only speak for the bar and bar dining area. Each time sat for 10 minutes and never got service. So I can't even rate the food, you would need service to get food. The only reason this place is open is because they have a big parking lot to do bike and car meets. Wings or Wangs! Tuesdays is all you can eat wings! With fries. You can't beat that. Plenty of flavors to choose from. They come 5 at a time. I like the golden garlic booya! Nice and wet. After you order just keep changing the sauces if you like or stick to what you know. Either way you will leave satisfied. The chairs are a little uncomfortable so get a booth or sit at the bar. I've dined in twice (sat at the bar and received quality service) and door dashed about 4 times from Quaker Steak. I have only ever ate their wings & have always been pleased with them. Taste is great, variety of flavors, well sauced and cooked well. Should I ever order anything other than wings, I'll update this review. Lastly, although the overall theme of the place doesn't speak to me personally, I commend this place for really committing to their style and theme of old vintage cars. We love the atmosphere of this place. So many cool things to look at. It was our first time here and our waitress was such a huge help. She suggested several things and told us when something I wanted hadn't really been vetted by the customers. The food was GREAT!!! We loved the grilled wings and the chili was outstanding. The night was great the server Larissa was great until we arrived at our hotel with our Togo order. I have to throw $10 away. I order Togo buckeye BBQ and received a what looks like loaded nacho that we cannot eat. I'm allergic to tomatoes and my wife cannot eat dairy (sour cream all over). I drove 10 hours to see family and my one side event was to visit my avorote wing joint and it did not end well. Normally , it's great everything as has been my experience in the past. LOVE the wings here, but had the WORST customer service/manager experience. Davin - who was PROUD to give me his name after being beyond rude to us. We called to place a to go order, the person who took the order told us 20 mins. We showed up at 25 mins after the order was placed on a very (non-busy day) maybe 3-4 other cars in the parking lot. We waited inside for 56 mins after our order was placed. I'm not sure if our order was given away because many other take out customers came and went while we waited. After 56 mins (80 mins total since our order was placed) we asked about it - the order was then replaced for us, we asked for a manager. Davin told us they don't quite pick up times on to go orders and they wouldn't have told us any time to come in, which as a General Manager myself of another food and beverage establishment I find that hard to believe. He would not discount or refund or provide a gift card for next time - and also let us know Quaker steak would stand behind his decision. I've been coming here as long as I can remember. Now having a car crazy little boy it was a definite must stop. Excellent atmosphere for a car nut, and great food. Wings are out of this world, but this trip I went for the garlic cheese curd smash burger. I had to come again on this trip to have it again. I visited this place on opening day, I think that was back around 99 or so. Still one of the best places for wings and bike nights, among other things, but I fear I have to drop them from 5 stars to 4. Still great wings, great other food, and service, but I must punish them somehow! RIP - Columbus' best blue collar lunch buffet! This thing was legendary with unlimited wings and great other food and great desserts. The lunch buffet was first stopped because of covid and now I hear because of the increase in wing prices, they aren't brining it back. I will be in mourning. read more

So a year ago I gave it a good review but time for an update. We did the lunch buffet and have to say it was disappointing. The hot dogs and Philadelphia steak meat and hot dogs were super salty. We also order wings as well. We had to wait over 10 minutes and by the time we got the wings they were warmish almost cold!!! They weren't even busy! I give them a 2 star only because the server who happened to be the bar tender gave me another glass of water without me having to ask for it. There's something wrong when you're not even sitting at the bar and the bar tender has to fill in for a server. Granted a bunch of employees could have called off today. "eh" is the overall rating for this location. Upon entry we were greeted by a smoky haze that lasted throughout the meal (burnt oil), which normally would have sent us packing but the children were very hungry. Floors were sticky on the way to our table and the table was also sticky. Menu got sat down in front of us and that was also sticky... The food was actually really good and the beer was nice and cold. The appetizer platter was well stocked and the wings were cooked perfectly. My problem is that I paid $18 for 12 wings that weren't that large or mind blowing. $18 for 12 wings at a wing joint, c'mon. The bill for the three of use was very high in my opinion for the quality/quantity of food we received. Probably won't be coming back to this location unfortunately. read more

I love the BBQ cauliflower wings. Being a pescatarian, these are one of my favorite go to items when I am come here.

A dry, bland disappointment, would certainly not eat again. While our waitress was nice and we had a very large party, our food took a while to come out, and one of our dishes was forgotten. Understandable, but could've been better. The food was terrible. My chicken tenders were dry, oddly soggy in places, and horribly bland. The sauce saved it a little, but not nearly enough. The buckeye bbq isn't bad tbh. My loaded fries were horrible. They were normal, unsalted (although my friends was over salted) fries, with some cheese that looked like it was melted hours ago, and some mediocre bacon. All the food I got was super bland, needed more salt, and wasn't great texturally either. My friend got the hangover burger, and the egg was well done. His burger was also well done, when he'd ordered it rare. The burger was bland and uninteresting as well, with some very below average meat and toppings. Apart from being a bit dirty sounding, the lubeburger was much the same, again disappointing in the few bites that I took. Don't come here unless you for some reason really love Americana, food that's mid at best, and prices that are pretty much just acceptable. read more

Hello to everyone reading this review!me and my boyfriend went to Quaker steak and lube for the first time, and it went pretty alright. Let's first start with the atmosphere, hinting the name of restaurant what would you think the deco would be?....exactly! Cars!(I will insert some photos) they have cars hanging from the ceiling, motorcycles hanging from the ceiling, license plates everywhere, and etc. it definitely gave you car shop feels or race car etc. I will say the tables were pretty stable but the chairs were like those cook out white plastic chairs but instead green lol, but overall cool atmosphere. First off we did order an appetizer, we ordered the mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce. The moment I bit into the mozzarella stick it was piping hot. You know how when something taste so good but it's fresh out the oven so you just don't care and just end up swirling the piece around your mouth to try and cool it off?.....yeaaaa that was me lol the flavors were tasteful and let's not forget THE CHEESE PULL!!! You can never go wrong with cheese sticks. Now the main course. I had the boneless garlic parm wings, and their original bbq boneless wings. I only got 6 cause I wasn't that hungry, with fries on the side and ranch...you always gotta get ranch with wings lol. The taste of garlic parm(it is the wet version not the dry rub) was good if you have ever had BWW garlic parm wings that's exactly what it tasted like just less spicy. The original bbq I did not like at all. If you like sweet bbq then you would enjoy it. My first bite I was instantly thrown off by the cinnamon taste lol but I'm 100% sure it was brown sugar not cinnamon. The fries were good and not too crispy, it was giving very much potato(thank God lol) so overall I would rate my food a 6 out of 10. My boyfriend had a salad, with traditional wings, his flavors were original bbq and golden garlic. Now right off bat he LOVED the bbq flavor and actually said the bbq flavor taste better than roosters bbq( like hold up!, slow your roll there sir lol) but the golden garlic flavor was ok to him. Tbh it kind of looks like honey mustard. Also they don't fry their wings in a batter so it's not like really crispy but he said the crispiness was good enough. I'm only rating a 3/5 because the bbq flavor just wasn't my favorite but everything else was AOk!, 3/5 seems like a pretty decent rating to me. The question Will I go back? I have been wanting to try Quaker Steak and Lube for the longest time ever since I heard about their quirky name! Despite its name, this Pennsylvania-originating restaurant isn't famous for steak or beef, or oatmeal, but rather their chicken wings...and their amazingly decorating "lube"-themed dining room which makes you feel like you're eating inside a hot rod garage. They have about a dozen flavors ranging from mild to extra blisteringly hot! At the front of the restaurant, they even replay an episode of Man vs. Food where Adam Richman devours the painfully famously spicy "atomic wings." We went for a weekday lunch and were pleased that not only do they have a $10 lunch buffet option Monday through Friday 11am-2pm, but that the buffet includes 3 different types of wings that are refreshed constantly even past the 1pm hour. We enjoyed boneless memphis style BBQ (the boneless is surprisingly the best since it has a thick and crunchy batter), Arizona Ranch (a nice tangy and spicy option that wasn't as hot as the menu purported) and a buffalo wing option. Even better, our server Trevor (great service!) told us that for the buffet we could custom request additional flavors that would come out in mini baskets of four at a time. SCORE! We got the Thai-R-Q ones which are Asian-inspired BBQ and apparently according to Trevor one of the best wing flavors here. Buffets are famous for tepid, cold, mushy food that has been sitting out for hours...but at Quaker S&L we enjoyed hot and fresh chicken wings at the buffet as well as when we custom ordered. Also, the corn nuggets (battered corn niblets with a moist bready interior) were EXCELLENT and very hot and fresh, yum! The other buffet items were mostly meh -- bland macaroni and cheese, greyish iceberg lettuce at the salad bar, generic mashed potatoes, tacos, soggy fries, nachos. But who cares? You are here for the WINGS! They have a daily buffet schedule where the items change slightly. You can also order regular made-to-order entrees when they have their buffet, but the $10 lunch buffet value can't be beat. read more

Delicious every time I go. Literally everything is good, the drinks are GREAT, and the service is amazing as well. I've been three different times now, and every time I've went I've ordered something different, but have still been impressed. Even the scenery is really unique and fun for your kids.
