I will have to honestly say I was kind of disappointed with the restaurant. The service was good the waitress we had was excellent very on top of things and stuff. I had ordered the hotdog for lunch. Don't know what my sides were, but I ended up the hotdog came. I asked that it to be very well done and when they came, the bottom, half was not well cooked and the top was kind of well done I eventually sent them back only to find out when they finally did come back to me that they end up being going into a fryolater. I don't care what they say. They were quite greasy, even though they were well cooked so I knew that they didn't throw them back on the grill. It wasn't possible. My husband said that his meal was OK and that's me. It matters. I didn't think they were very on top of things like I missed out on playing a keno game while I was waiting in line and it ended up having all of my numbers in it so it says I lost something like $1000 but maybe even less of a happy I really feel the bartending service there definitely use a more friendly approach, but could also take a use somewhat more on top of things. I waited for about three more minutes. The bartender kept looking at me. She never once came over she only after a secondary bartender came on did she then that bartender came over and asked to help me I did. But I definitely was gonna take and use it as a stop on my bike trip. I ride a motorcycle with a group and I was gonna suggest that we go there for dinner. Really feel like it wouldn't be a positive upbeat experience for us and I would hate to have that happen. Anyone else. The first issue was the moldy 1/2 filled fish tank at the door with one fish in it. Should've been a warning sign. The waiter had the personality of a grape. Before I moved, I used to go here for takeout Just about every Saturday night. The food is delicious and the prices are perfect. My favorite? The Quaker Tavern has Trivia on Tuesday nights and we went with six friends for dinner and sat in the bar area. Trivia was fun and they played songs with clues to the trivia questions. We have visited five or six times since it became the Quaker and have not been unhappy with anything. Food is well prepared ample servings and always tasty. Staff have been pleasant and do a good job. The atmosphere was ok for a struggling bar. The bartender Felisha tonight was amazing good drinks and good prices! The bar itself was less to be desired even for a tavern. The regulars give dirty looks to any new and make it uncomfortable to eat there. Most of the lights in the bar area are tacky novelties supplied by beer/alcohol distributors. Chicken Parm was decent the one time I tried here so I gave it another shot Today tried the pot roast. This experience was awful. I, like most, like fresh food. The pot roast had to have been frozen for days prior to slicing it and serving it to us. Consistency of a frozen Salisbury steak from the grocery store, with less flavor. ‍ Cole slaw was meh. Needs real culinary experience to make it good. Or someone with taste buds ‍ Garlic mashed had more garlic than mashed. Flavors are meant to be subtle and savory not overpowering. Small pub vibe from the outside and didn't disappoint inside. The wood finish on everything is a nice touch. My fiancé and I just moved to town and wanted to try a new spot. I will definitely come back here. I had the thanksgiving sandwich with gravy and it was delicious and well prepared. Ate here with mom who's ate here several times. Busy for a Thursday. Friendly hostess sat us immediately at the booth of my choice. Friendly, efficient server immediately took our drink order. For entrees mom had fish & chips with side of onion rings. She felt the fish batter was heavy, didn't want the fries and didn't care for the batter on the homemade onion rings. I thought the fries and onion rings were good; I didn't try the fish. I ordered a steak med rare. It was cooked perfectly but it was a petite breakfast steak loaded with gristle. Significantly less expensive than the going rate for a NY strip so I should have known better. Desserts were great including a homemade blueberry cheesecake that was outstanding. Got a giant pretzel w/cheddar beer sauce to go and it was amazing. Soft and warm, not chewy and covered in sea salt. Pretzel almost made up for the steak. I'd return for the friendly, rustic atmosphere, a cold beer, a warm giant pretzel (I mean huge) and a slice of cheesecake. Protein is overrated. Recommend. read more

This is my second visit to the Tavern, after a very long day at work and wanting some quick and local dinner. It was approx. 8:45pm Thursday evening and the parking lot was pretty much empty- ruh roh! I popped in really quick to see if the kitchen was still open, and it was! We sat at the bar, bartender was super friendly! She didn't rush us to make our dinner order, or give us any spiel about any items being off the menu because they were going to be closing soon. Instead, she took the time to explain her favs, some of the specials and also what makes a "cape cod fish sandwich". Food was hot and delicious, very happy with the quality and probably being the last meal served of the evening, it was served like it was the first! Very impressed with the quality of service! I'm only giving Quaker Tavern 1 star because of the friendly and hard working waitstaff. I'd give it negative stars for the hostess/owner, Nancy. I don't understand how someone can be so miserable and as a business owner, turn away paying, regular customers. I just tried to stop in for a drink with my friend and we were turned away because, according to Nancy, they were "at capacity." All restrictions are lifted in MA and there were at least two empty tables and a seat at the bar. This was 8pm. I could understand if it was 6 or 7 and they were expecting reservations, but c'mon; they close at 9:30. This woman just doesn't like people and doesn't belong in the "Hospitality" business. read more

Nice little casual tavern in Uxbridge. Went in for dinner and drinks with my boyfriend. We sat in the bar area at a high top table. We were promptly greeted by our waitress who was super sweet. We each had bottles of bud light and for dinner, shared 3 appetizers. My favorite out of the 3 was the buffalo chicken raviolis. They were stuffed with buffalo chicken, then fried and topped with buffalo sauce and blue cheese crumbles and served with blue cheese dressing as well. I really enjoyed them and if I come back I plan on having them again. We also shared the mozzerella triangles and the cheese quesadilla which were both pretty good as well. A quaint restaurant & bar. If you want a nice sit down meal an a reasonable price, this is a strong choice to make. The fish taco appetizer makes for a full meal for my wife. The Fish & Chips are very good as well! The ladies making up the wait staff are friendly and courteous. They serve much more than fish/seafood. The owners truly care about their business and their customer's satisfaction. It is clean and the country, rustic feel fits the area well. This place is nice and the staff is friendly. They have a new chef there and he is such an amazing cook, his name is Tyler. I had the pan seared scallops with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were lacking BUT the scallops were cooked to perfection and they were the best I've ever had. I highly recommend the pan seared scallops. A few weekends ago my boyfriend and I visited some friends in Uxbridge. The four of us decided to check out the "new restaurant in town." From the outside it didn't look like much and even the interior was very modest but included a bar and a dining area. The bar area was full so we opted to get a table. It was apparent our waitress was new but despite her nervousness she was nice and personable. My boyfriend was told they had "Sam Adams Winter Lager" in bottle but when the drinks were delivered he was given the "Boston Lager" which was slightly disappointing. Other than that hiccup, the food was much tastier than I was expecting. We ordered mainly bar food; burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, and each of us enjoyed our meals. Came here tonight for dinner. I had the salmon with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The salmon was dry, the broccoli was extremely overcooked- it was some strange shade of yellow and brown, and the mashed potatoes were Luke warm and kind of dry. Pretty disappointing. But my boyfriend had the chicken and shrimp Parmesan special, and it was delicious. Our server Olivia was excellent, a sweet heart. Their cook needs to be careful and do some quality control. Visited this place for the first time a couple of weeks ago. While the inside was cute, I was not impressed one bit with the service or the food. We ordered nachos for an app, and 2 salads for our main meal. Nachos were good, about standard. The service was terrible. The waitress spoke to us like children and informed us that nachos "take a some time to make" in the kitchen. My mother has worked in the food service industry for over 30+ years, but even without that, one can assume that nachos are not one of the most labor intensive dishes in the kitchen. Once the nachos were delivered, we started munching. Not 10 minutes later the server returned with our salads for our meal. With a nacho in hand, and clearly still trying to enjoy our app and conversation, she asked if we wanted it to boxed up to go. Ummm, NO! Clearly we were still eating. My Greek salad was ok, surprised to see a hard boiled egg on top. My friends Cesar salad was not mixed in dressing, but rather it came on the side, which is not standard. Over all not impressive.
