My husband and I went to this restaurant on a weekday for lunch. It was not crowded, but it took at least 20 minutes for the waiter to take our orders. It took at least another 40 minutes for the food to arrive arrive We each had the two meat combo I had the Boston ribs with smoked brisket, onion strings, coleslaw, and cornbread. The ribs and the brisket had so much pepper that I could not taste the barbecue sauce. The Boston ribs were meaty, but at one end of each rib there were small bones, and the brisket was peppery and dry. I put extra barbecue sauce on the brisket, but couldn't taste it over the pepper. The meats and the onion strings were very greasy. The coleslaw was good. My husband had the brisket and a small dark meat quarter of a chicken. He also had the potato salad which had small ham pieces in it and a very, very sweet mashed candy sweet potatoes. Our lunch lasted over an hour then we had planned. Stopped in on a Friday night after 8pm with a large group. The place was still fairly busy. We all ordered takeout and the staff that helped us was all super friendly and happy to help. They didn't seem stressed that we were there. They executed getting all of our food and drinks out in a very fast and organized manner (probably 15+ individual orders). I was in the general area and decided to try Goodstuff Smokehouse again, and ordered the following for takeaway: * 2 Meat Combo (with Mac & Cheese, Mashed Potato, Ribs, Fatty Brisket) $27.00 * Small Cucumber Salad $5.00 In this case, the Brisket was very good, but the Ribs were way overdone, mostly inedible (check out the photo). They were out of two items that we wanted, Burnt Butt Ends and Smoked Turkey but there was so much more to choose from the menu. The brisket, ribs were tender, perfectly cooked and delicious. The sauces, Bold, Tangy and Sweet made you try each over and over again to see which you liked most. The sides, beans, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, Mac & cheese along with fresh cornbread were 10+. This is a great spot for BBQ. I wish I'd known about it sooner and we'll definitely be returning. I got the watermelon sangria which was so refreshing on a hot day. My husband and I split a 2 meat platter with pulled pork, ribs, fries and Mac 'n Cheese. The cornbread was so tasty and moist, as was the pulled pork. I can't wait to try the pulled pork as a sandwich next time. Meaty ribs, yummy fries, and my husband loved the Mac 'n Cheese. (I'm picky with cheese so I didn't try it.). I like Goodstuff Smokehouse. I appreciate what they do for the local community as every Thursday is a fundraiser for interested local organizations. The restaurant itself is small but always cleanly and I love how their windows have seasonal paintings on them. They also sell excellent kettle corn. I highly recommend! My grandma and I went last night but have been here numerous times before. I've often found some of their meat to be pretty dry but I do like the meatloaf. That's exactly what I had last night along with baked potato salad, Mac and cheese, and cornbread. They also make some of their drinks in house as well like the iced tea and root beer. My meatloaf was great! Nice Smokey flavor and four pieces was a hefty portion. The last two slices had some harder pieces of fat which I needed to take out of my mouth though. The potato salad is always killer- I think they add some sour cream to it to make it tangier. Cornbread is some of the best I've ever had- super sweet and cake like. The Mac and cheese was also excellent with great creaminess. Iced tea was sweetened and also very good. Our waitress was very kind and accommodating. We had banana pudding for dessert which was good overall. I prefer the Magnolia Bakery recipe more but appreciated how the nilla wafers were fresh and it had plenty of banana. I would lay off the cool whip in the future though. Overall, an excellent restaurant who does right by their employees and the community. I love to see it and support whenever I can! read more

Ordered from there twice and was not impressed either time. Meats are over cooked and dry, lack seasoning. Only tastes best when smothered in BBQ sauce. Mac and cheese was basic, cheese sauce watery. I love, love, love Goodstuff Smokehouse. I really didn't like BBQ until I've had Goodstuff and it has changed the game for me. My family and I would go to Goodstuff during COVID as a weekly treat for us and to be able to support local business. We often ordered the family meal which has a pound each of two different meats and you can choose either four small or two large sides. We found that it was plenty of food for three people and we typically had leftovers. I have also been many times since and have had the individual meals. Their menu has a good number of options so I would say there is something for everyone! They also make their own rootbeer and kettle corn that they sell in the store along with bottles of their amazing BBQ sauces (3 options - spicy, tangy, and bold!). The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, so if it is busy (and it does get busy), there may be a bit of a wait. The restaurant is definitely a casual atmosphere. First time going here at the recommendation of a friend who also really enjoys and has a good taste for food. Food was really really good and I will definitely go again. Burnt ends really were amazing, corn bread was rly soft and moist. Well done, it should be renamed to amazingly fantastic stuff smokehouse. I'd give a higher rating than 5/5 if it was possible. We stopped in on a Saturday around 530. Was told there was a 15 minute wait. No big deal. Once we get seated a waitress comes over to to take our drink order. After waiting 10 minutes for our drinks, they finally arrived and we place an order. We put in for an appetizer and our meal.20 minutes go by nothing, 30 minutes still nothing. During this time we get to talking to the table beside us. They tell us they came in 20 minutes before us and they haven't received their appetizer. I worked in restaurants and I understand it's a Saturday but there has been no communication from anyone at this point. A different waitress comes over and tells us it will be a while longer. At this time I tell her to cancel ,we are going elsewhere after waiting antoer 10 monthly give us the bill for our drinks. At this time I believe what is the manager comes over with an apology. It was fake and not sincere. 10 years ago they were one of the only BBQ joints around, that isn't thw case. My recommendation, go to another one. You will see the difference in series. Visited Goodstuff Smokehouse on Wednesday for the first time with buddies after playing golf. It was a great find and recommend it to everyone, whether you're local, or like us from a bit away. You will make this place a must return to put on your dining rotation. Even before we got to the food, the experience was a big thumbs from the start. You pull into the parking lot and see the big smoker outside. Then you open the car doors and the woodfire smells get your senses going. You walk into the place and it makes an even better impression. It's light, spacious but also cozy. The farther back you roam towards the bar you can tell that these folks know how present a restaurant. The staff makes everything that much better. Great personalities. Super friendly and helpful with suggestions. Big shout out to Alex who was our waiter but I also believe he is the bartender. Amazing selection of craft beers. Most of the selections are their own brews. The IPAs and the Pale Ales we had were great. They even have a large selection of bourbons. And get this, they have what they call a Whiskey Bible. It's a leather bound book that is fun to look thorough. Make sure you ask to look at it. Oh yeah, what about the food? This food is very, very good. Satisfies your eyes, your smell, your taste buds and your tummy. My three buddies are foodies and they were raving. For me food is food but this has me raving about BBQ. I'm not one to give out false praise but Goodstuff is super. The experience easily will have us returning again and again. Restaurant dining has been a crapshoot over the last 5 - 10 years.
