Then in early Dec 2025 my car wouldn't start. Had it towed in, bad ignition switch, bill was $439. Picked up car on 12/15/25, car was hard to start but driveable for 2 1/2 weeks. Car wouldn't start again, rinse and repeat. Bad starter, bill was $450. Picked up car, started great, drove 2 1/2 miles to Burger King. Came out, car wouldn't start, had it towed in, rinse and repeat. This time I was told there is a water bottle in my engine. INSANITY! Went in for oil change. Brought my own oil and oil filter to replace the old ones. After the service, I got home and my car was leaking oil on my driveway and garage. I drove it right back to them. They said the oil filter cap was cracked. Wasn't crack when I was there before the oil change. I told them that they tighten so tight thats why it cracked. They order a new one oil engine oil cap and expected me to pay for it. I told them I wasn't paying for it and that I will contact the BAR. Shady ass people. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anybody. I've had them change my brakes, oil, shocks here. I'm coming back to have my transmission fluid and gasket changed, my radiator fluid flushed, as well as timing belt and water pump replaced. Went in for an oil change and left a new customer! I definitely recommend Quality! I noticed my oil change indicator light was still on so I stopped by the next morning to have it reset. Also, my ambient temperature sensor had become disconnected (not by the shop). So I asked them to take a look and let me know what it would cost to fix it. Well, the next thing I know, my car is up on the lift. A few minutes later, it's ready to go! What?!? Yes!! They reconnected the sensor and reattached the plastic under the bumper that caused the problem, all at no charge. And they reset the oil change indicator; turned out my older car needed a newer computer to do the job. Also had a new windshield washer fluid motor installed. As you may know I am a fan of local businesses if you have read my other reviews You also know I am picky too.. So when I find a local company, like Quality auto care who does what they say and does it well. I like to give them a good Yelp review. Of course I also like to mention those that fall short. Quality Auto Care has done work on my truck twice now in the last year for different issues.. The most recent being a water pump replacement along with a thermostat replacement. I spoke with JC and got a quote over the phone. JC right off the bat gave me a fair quote for the work being requested. At first just for the water pump. He gave me a quote with parts and labor and just labor alone. Yes folks, they will allow you to supply the parts and they will just do the labor. Not many shops are willing to do that, they do. Their quote with parts was competitive but I wanted to buy the parts myself and did at Auto Zone for just a little cheaper than JC quoted me. So even their mark ups are reasonable if they supply the parts....they were not going gouge me. I called JC back to get a price on thermostat replacement and he quoted a reduced hourly rate on that too which was fantastic. I called around to a few other shops to get a quote for the same work to be done. Quality had bettered my other go to shop and my 2 old regular go to shops . I called back made a appointment for the next day and dropped it off. They had 4 other jobs ahead of mine but said my truck would be done at 5 pm and they would call when I could pick it up. They delivered as promised. As a side note they also replaced my belts since they needed to be removed to change the water pump. I just gave the mechanic (another great helpful guy) the belts and he switched them out with no questions asked or any other charges like some other shops might try. When I arrived to pick up the truck the mechanic greeted me kindly and took me to the truck and gave me the old parts he just replaced without even asking for them, how awesome is that! So if you are in need of work and or service to your vehicle for a fair and reasonable price and want quality service. Based on the last two times I've had work done here I can say have come through 100% no games, no surprises, no bad attitudes....just good solid business practices, respect for the customer and getting the job done right as they say. I used this servce before and it was good. This last week though not so good. I had a slow leak in my tire. They were nice enough to take the tire off and look at it without making me wait. The guy said there was no leak and doubted I knew what I was talking about even suggesting I picked the wrong tire. Ok 10 bucks-- no biggy. Then upsold me on brake replacement. I declined. I was very nervous that night going 30 miles home after work at 11PM with once again the tire pressure light on my dash on. I was lucky to get home without a problem and the next morning low and behold I had a deflated tire. I took it to Americas Tire in Roseville and they fixed it for free--they found the issue within 5 seconds of looking at the tire. read more

This is the worst auto shop I have ever been to!! My car was fine when I brought it in (JUST NEEDED A CLUTCH), and when I got it back it was idling bad with the check engine light on. I've spend $5,000 on the car and the light is still on. I cannot sell it now or register it. I got the BAR involved but they didn't do much. I wanted to support small business, but this business seemed to be over priced. Thankfully I wasn't stranded and in dire need of my car being repaired ASAP. I needed my thermostat replaced. After doing research, the average price for the area and service was between $105-$135. This included labor and parts. I called to get a quote and was told $160 just for labor and I'd have to bring my own parts (thermostat and 2 bottles of coolant). A local dealership charged $153 for parts and labor and even Pep Boys was willing to meet or beat that price. I found another licensed mechanic, that is doing the work for $132 (tax, labor and parts) with a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. Moral of the story... Get several quotes, my perception and opinion was that he made me feel like I was an uniformed dumb chick. read more

Okay so I wrote a review a few days after getting an over priced oil change from these people which was the end of October first part of November. I received the oil change on Friday October 27, 2017, around November 15 or so I noticed my vehicle jerking, didn't pay it no mind because it wasn't too bad. Around the 18th of November I checked my oil and not only was it super low, it was really dark as if I hadn't just got an oil change less than a month ago. My car started to act as if it wasn't catching, then November 27 I noticed smoke, checked everything out and my transmission fluid was EMPTY. Needless to say, I paid $45 for poor service! I'm 100.437977% sure they DID NOT check my fluids nor did they change my oil. I'm also 100.437977% sure all they did was add oil then charge me for 5qts because yesterday I took my car to another mechanic and had my oil changed and they schooled me on the importance of keeping up with those types of services they thought I had neglected that stuff for 7 months or longer. Oh and it didn't help that Quality Auto care put the next service was to be done at 1362xx miles but I was at 136190 or so when I went on October 27, 2017.
