We asked for Half an inch off the legs, tails etc. We did ask for his booty area to be trimmed up a bit more for sanitary reasons. He had absolutely no matting. He had a bath a week prior. He gets brushed weekly! THEY SHAVED MY DOUBLE COATED DOG. The Excuse used was "well some don't understand what half an inch is". I asked for a trim. Never once would I ask for this Sheppard to be shaved. I just hope it grows back successfully with no complications. They did not make me pay for the service. However this is not okay.

She tells it's for online only. So I decided to just purchase the collar which was on clearance. She then scans the collar and says it's not on clearance but regular price. I go ahead and complete the purchase. Unfortunately I had left my phone at home, so couldn't verify anything. I get home and check the website, coupon state's 20% off everything, online and in store! Also shows collar as being on clearance. Needless to say this was my last purchase at Petco.

My dog is only about 5-6 pounds and very easy to groom. In the past, his wash and trim has taken about an hour. When I dropped him off this time, I was immediately told the price would be higher than usual because of trimming around his neck. That was surprising because I've had the same basic trim done there before without any additional charge. I explained that I only wanted a very small amount trimmed -- just his belly, around his butt, and a little on his neck. When asked if I wanted anything else trimmed (like his ears), I specifically said no. Two hours later I called to check on him since it normally takes about an hour. No one answered the phone. Since it was getting close to my son's bedtime, I drove over assuming they were finishing up. When I arrived, they told me they would need another two hours. That simply wasn't possible for me, so I asked to just take him home. They told me he had already been washed and was still in the back wet. They offered to quickly blow dry him and cut his nails and asked if I could bring him back another day to finish the trim. I agreed. While I was there, when I mentioned I had called earlier and no one answered, the employee's reaction made me feel like I had done something wrong just by checking on my dog. I returned on the scheduled day, dropped him off, drove home, and 25 minutes later they called to say he was finished. This was incredibly confusing considering the previous visit supposedly required several hours. I had literally just gotten home and had to work around my baby's nap schedule, so I told them I'd come back after my son woke up. When I picked up my dog, his haircut was much shorter than what I had asked for, including his ears, which I specifically said not to cut. The final frustration happened when I got him into my car. It was obvious they hadn't blown the loose hair off of him after grooming. My freshly cleaned car is now completely covered in short, freshly cut hair embedded in the carpet and seats, which is extremely difficult to remove. Between the inconsistent timing, poor communication, not following grooming instructions, and the condition my dog was returned in, the whole experience felt very unprofessional. Unfortunately I won't be returning.

It ended up getting away, no idea what happened to it. Other animals are often crowded, overheated, out of water, or lethargic. Adopted them and they were up to date on shots, seemed healthy, and were neutered. I got my first cat from here as a kitten over a year and a half ago and got my other cat about 6 months ago. Whenever I'm visited too I've had nothing but good experiences.
