Booked an appointment for grooming session for my dog. He's up-to-date with all the shots required by the city for a certificate. I asked the receptionist that is all needed for the appointment. I was told that is all I need. Yet on the day of the appointment, they turned me away because they said my dog was missing an esoteric shot that I never heard of. They overbooked that day, and found an excuse to turn me away. I took mine to another pet groomer (Wuf*) without any issues. I would not waste my time and money on this business. read more

The groomer was extremely friendly, and went over in detail how I would like my dog groomed (even pulled out a booklet of swatches to show different fur lengths). My dog has separation anxiety, so he then scooped him up and carried him to the back, so that he wouldn't have to watch me leave. The groomer also called to check in mid-appointment, to confirm the fur length, which I really appreciated. I then got another automated call and text, 15 minutes before pick up time. Yay - so glad that the Silver Creek location opened back up recently! I've been a regular of Quality Pet Spot for a while; I take my Shih Tzu in for full grooming/bath every month or so. I usually go for the full grooming package plus the blueberry facial, since he has a lot of tear stains near his eyes. The price has definitely increased over the years, but I'm happy to continue paying for the awesome and friendly service that I receive each time. They've always do a great job in cutting his hair, especially with the specific requests to trim his face very short (due to the excessive tear staining). All of their staff is super detailed and makes sure they know exactly what I'm looking for his haircut - that attention to detail is really hard to come across these days! Also, another tip - they use an online reservation system, which is easy to use, but sometimes it doesn't list all the available times/dates or it might be 1+ month out until the next available appointment. If you give them a call, they can usually squeeze you into the week you're looking for. I love Quality Pet Spot and so does my dog! He always comes out so happy with his fresh haircut with an added bonus - a cute little bandanna! The staff here is incredibly professional and kind. I have a very anxious dog who I was told by a previous groomer is "ungroomable" and by another that her anxious behavior is "pathetic" (boo hiss to that groomer!) and as you can imagine, I was incredibly reluctant to trust any groomer with my sweet pup. The receptionist listened to my initial concerns and carefully chose an experienced groomer who does well with anxious dogs. They went slow during the first grooming, and kept my dog with the same groomer for subsequent groomings to reduce anxiety and establish trust. While trips to the groomer still aren't my dog's favorite activity, she always greets me calmly with tail wagging and the freshest cut! I no longer have anxiety about taking my dog to the groomer, knowing she is in the best hands no matter who ends up grooming her. In situations like these, I wish our dogs could tell us what truly happened but since they're unable to, it's up to us as their owners to be vigilant to ensure that they aren't hurt. I hope someone will read this review and think twice about trusting them with your fur baby. This review is long overdue but decided to write it for the sake of other dogs' safety. We've had our dogs groomed here a few times. Our most recent time, they handed us our dogs and seemed to be in a hurry to rush us out of there. After we got home, I noticed a bright red mark on one of my dog's belly. I messaged them right away and let them know about the mark and asked them what happened. We monitored her to determine if a vet visit was necessary. The groomer responded 3 days later and claimed that that area was already shorter than the rest of her hair, and they said they believed it was a bruise from her constantly licking the spot before she even came in to be groomed. They did not mention any of that at the time of pick up. I let them know that we were very alarmed because it looked like a burn or that it had been bleeding. It also looked deeper and more red towards the bottom and less so towards the top, leading us to think it could've been a gash or cut. I let them know that in the time that she had been home, she had not licked that area and in fact that area on her belly would be quite hard for her to reach. I didn't understand how licking could lead to a gash like that, especially when it was a stretch for her to even reach that area. My husband and I are very reasonable people and give people the benefit of the doubt and we understand accidents happen... but the conversation seemed like they were just trying to cover their butts, making up excuses, flat out lying, and not taking any accountability. I don't think they were being honest and I definitely wouldn't trust them with my dogs ever again. read more

We had our first appointment here today for one of our babies and I couldn't be any happier! My husband met the one of owners and mentioned to me that they were very friendly. He was very happy with the customer service of dropping / picking up our Bonnie! We have been taking Bonnie to Petco on Tully for a long time, we had an amazing groomer there and unfortunately she left a couple of years ago. We stopped going when the pandemic started (I was grooming her myself which I did a terrible job of haha) and after the restrictions were lifted, we started taking her back. It was going okay until recently, they had to cancel 2 of my appointments that I booked because they were short staffed and only had 2 groomers. After the second time they had to cancel our appointment, I couldn't wait anymore. Bonnie is a Lhasa Apso, Maltese poodle mix and her hair gets so long that regular grooming is needed. She looks so good and seems to be in a happy mood after grooming today! I had to call them after my husband dropped her off to thank them, I am so happy with how good she looks. I'm very disappointed on this visit. 1. They never told you that they don't take CC only Venmo & PayPal. Once you dropped off your dog, then they texted you that right before you pick up your dog. 2. The receptionist with pink hair highlight never bother to greet you or ask about your dog. She seems very busy on the phone which is good for them but tried to get as many customers as possible and treated your existing customer like crap, you won't have any business from me. 3. I request certain groomer and Manuel was it it. She said he was out food-poisoning, WHY they DID NOT tell me that via text? To say the least. He was very kind and I trusted him with my dog. 4. When I confronted it her about the payment method. She wasn't happy and the attitude was there. She asked me to show her the PayPal receipt to prove that I paid! What kind of business is this? 5. No one told me how my dog grooming was, what they did and how she felt or etc. NONE. When Manuel always cared before. 6. $80 for a 9.5 lbs dog groom & clean is OK by me, but it was a terrible groom job. I still tipped whoever it was $15 cash out of respect (I normally tipped more for Manuel). They didn't bother to clean the area of her eyes. You just lost a customer! Please train your staff and if the receptionist reads this, it's not personal. But a dog is a family member, (like a child to a lot of people that can't have children bc of their illness in the past). If you think it's just a dog or it's just a job, you are not belonging in this kind of service. If customer don't feel that you give a shit or don't feel appreciate it, they will not come back. I don't think I can comment enough about how much I love this place and its staff. We would literally be lost without them and I genuinely did freak out when they temporarily closed for a month. During that time we took our dog to another location, but it was just not the same! Staff here are so friendly and caring. Alvina has been with our dog since Day 1, and she is awesome! Our dog isn't easy to handle but she has been amazing to her and you can tell she's good at what she does by my dog's reaction to seeing her, even when she was so anxious just seconds earlier knowing she's about to get groomed. Manuel is amazing! I brought my sons for a needed grooming. They're Maltese poodles so their hair can get quite crazy. Normally I take them to the willow glen location and don't encounter any issues. However the oldest pup is very nervous when I have picked him up from the other location. Not here! I explained to him what I'd like and what the best solution would be. He was careful to explain his methods and assured me he'd try his best not to leave their hair too short. I was happy with the result. And what I really really loved besides his work, is the fact that my babies were not nervous or anxious when I picked them up. I overheard him speaking to them and he really cares about his job. Okay....I've been going to different groomers because my dog is nervous and does get anxious when he's not by my side. I tried other groomers but this place was really good! I let them know ahead of time that he does get nervous but reassured me they will take more time if needed. I appreciate how they told me it'll take between 2-4 hours based off how nervous my dog will be. This gives me an idea of how long I need to wait instead of me constantly calling for an update. I asked them to cut it short. They wanted to know exactly how short which surprised me. Normally when I tell a groomer "cut it short" they don't go short enough for me. This place shows an example of how short the hair will be. I found that very helpful! When my dog was ready, I got a phone call and a text message letting me know that he'll be ready in 15 minutes. My dog came in to get his teeth cleaned and nails cut. Before they started, I told the receptionist that my dog is old and for them to be careful. I wasn't sure if that was communicated to the people doing the cleaning because during the procedure my dog fell from the cleaning table despite having two people in the room to help out. I confronted the guy doing the cleaning and he even tried to lie about it, but I witnessed everything. I asked for a refund but they said they only charge full price. My dog's teeth were half cleaned, he suffered a fall, and I was charged the full amount. Won't be coming back here. read more

I used their services about a year ago, they did a great job on the my dog's hair but my dog got infested by fleas from this place. And my dog got some kind of infection that I had to take her to a vet. I hesitated to go back, but my wife made an appointment this week to get my dog a hair do and give this place another chance. Sadly the appointment got canceled and they're asking me to paid ahead of time a fee for supposedly to miss two appointments with other dog grooming facility and supposedly are part of the same ownership group. Do not bring your pets here. I brought my Pomeranian here to get groomed and she had a terrible experience. I usually take her to another place but decided to try quality pet spot because her usual place was booked for a few months. When I picked her up, the lady in front informed me she had a bloody nose during her appointment but that she was fine now. When I got home, I noticed her eyes were bloody and blood shot red. I took her to the vet to make sure she was okay and the vet told me she was under ALOT of stress and to not take her there anymore. I went back to quality pet spot the next day to see what happened to her because I have never had this happen to her. They told me since she's a "puppy" and it being her "first time" she was very stressed. I told them she is almost 2 years old and has actually gotten groomed several times and never had an issue. Just because she is a small dog they came to the assumption that she was a puppy. The manager (Manuel) told me I should've received a call that her nose was bleeding during the service but not once did I received a call that her nose was bleeding and was under that much stress. If I would've known I would've told them to stop and leave her as it, or just shave her hair off because her health is more important that physical appearance. I asked the manager that I wanted to speak to the person who groomed her but she did not want to come out to speak to me because she was going through postpartum depression. I then had my dad call the manager since I felt that I was not taken seriously and my dad spoke to the manager and the supervisor as well. We requested to have a meeting to look at the cameras to see what happened. During the meeting they stated the camera angle "doesn't pick up where she was being groomed" and they "didn't remember" the password for the cameras. And during the meeting the worker that works the front left and was not there. I had told them she never gave me a call to tell me my dog was bleeding. We decided to just stop trying to figure out what happened because it was not worth it anymore due to the fact that they kept coming up with excuses. This incident happened July 20, 2021. We have been coming here with our puppy Leo starting with his first grooming since he was 5 months and have had only great experiences. Leo is a pretty anxious dog in general and they do a superb job handling him. They truly provide a quality grooming experience and always listen any specific details we provide. The whole staff is super friendly and always willing to answer any of our questions and give us suggestions to help maintain our puppy's coat at home. We made the mistake of going to Petco for one of our visits last month because it looked like there was no availabilities for a week here and we deeply regret it. You can really see the difference in quality with Quality Pet Spot. I rarely write reviews, but seeing the difference between two grooming spots and the positive difference in my puppy's happiness and general demeanor with Quality Pet Spot I had to write this one.
