We had this company come to our house to fix our shower pipes, several months back. We had the pipes break again and have been desperately looking for plumbers to come help us as we've had to shut off water to our house for days. We talked to William and he told us that they can send someone to our house the next day and we can see about a possible warranty if it's the same issue. I called him the next day (now day 3 without water) and now he's saying there is no warranty and that he has no one to send to us until next week after telling us yesterday he would send someone today. This is very upsetting as we cancelled a plumber yesterday in the hopes of sticking with the same company and a possible warranty just to be lied to and rudely pushed away the next day. Quality Plumbing charged my home warranty $300 for a "fix" to a problem that turned out to have nothing to do with my unit. He refuses to provide a receipt for the $135 I paid out of pocket. Based on my experience, something doesn't smell right about this situation and I plan to pursue it further. I had a slab leak which appeared to be coming out from under the concrete slab of my ground floor condo patio, flooding the landscaping in the common area. I called these guys because they were listed with my home warranty company. The two guys arrived a half hour past the end of the 2 hour window. After digging out the soaked ground to uncover what appeared to be the leaking pipe they said in order to fix it, a valve needed to be replaced in the water heater which was connected to the pipe. {I have no idea I just want it fixed} They charged my home warranty $300. I was charged out of pocket $60 for the visit + $75 for the labor of digging. William himself explained to me over the phone that those two items were not covered by the warranty. Fine. The valve was replaced and the guy was getting ready to leave without backfilling the ditch they'd dug and which was filled with standing water [labor I was being charged for]. He seemed surprised that I expected it, but did it anyway. I paid with a check, and asked for a receipt. He said William would send me one. I left a voicemail with william asking for the receipt. His message to me "why do you need a receipt when home warranty covered it?" 2 weeks later I have to ask for it again. They didn't have a leak detector and without one of those and given that there were 2 units one on top of the other, with a slab leak a plumber should either have the necessary tools to diagnose a problem or not diagnose it at all instead of making a guess at a very expensive fix with a 50/50 chance of success. The receipt is one sticking point, never mind that it didn't fix the leak. When I got a different company to come out they found no signs that the leak came from my unit. I told the HOA to pursue it on their end that it had nothing to do with my unit. It was my upstairs neighbor! P.S. If a company does not provide you a receipt for their services paid out of pocket, you have no recourse if the repair fails. It could also have repercussions on your homeowner's insurance down the line. read more

They were able to locate and fix main water line leaks underground that another name company could not even find and gave up on, despite seeing water running in our street gutter during the drought. I'm writing this review a little late since the job was done last August. I am always wary of plumbers and the amount they charge. However, I was very lucky to get in touch with William, who came and saw the problem, told me exactly what needed to be done, and then gave me a price. I was happy that it was very reasonable, compared to three other plumbers who didn't even bother to come to see what the issue was. William then proceeded to fix a busted pipe underneath the cement next to my kitchen. He finished the job in one day, returning everything to its original form (the cement job looked great) But before putting down the cement, he wanted to show me his work, and also he had replaced a pipe that was extending underneath into the kitchen. Even though that was not included in the job, he still maintained the same quote he gave me! He is an honest man, full of integrity and pride in his work. The owner William came to my house and quoted me the price to replace the sewage line for $2495 to get my business but when he started the job he wanted additional $450.00; William said he has to paid the contractor more for labor because the sewage line was not a straight line into the city sewage. I asked him that he promised the quoted price and that's why I chose them to the job but he refused without additional $450. They gave me a quote almost instantly after he diagnosed the problem in just a few minutes. Totally reasonable!! Had a valve break Saturday afternoon, and the water was shut off to the house. These guys were the first to call back. They were in my driveway in less than an hour, had the problem temporarily addressed within 20 minutes, and promised to come back in a day or two to fix it permanently (they had to get a hold of the valve). After seeing some of the reviews I was a bit skeptical but they were prompt, polite, communicated well and fixed the problem completely as promised. The technician even addressed a leaky hose bib in my backyard (what started this whole thing) and didn't charge me. These guys came out to relight my pilot light on my water heater and to fix some pipes that were banging. He repaired a line to the water heater, and it worked; he was able to relight the pilot. But when we had to shut it down about one month later to add an earthquake shutoff valve to the system, when the other plumber tried to relight, the pilot would not relight again. And less than a few weeks after he "fixed" the banging, it started up again. Waste of $180. read more

Update on my Aug 2012 lateral sewer line replacement by William Cordova and crew. Everything still perfect, and continue to save $240 every year by not having to snake the line every 6 months. Since then, I've used Quality Plumbing & Rooter several times for small things. Most recently in Oct they repaired an exterior water line on the side of my garage that had been leaking. Suddenly, last night it sprang a leak in the same spot. Not sure if it was a bad part, expansion/contraction over the winter, or what, but William got someone to my house by 9am the next morning and repaired everything at no charge. I was worried that he might want to charge me since almost 4 months had passed, but he didn't even request to see my original invoice. I like that he stands behind his work. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED & TRUSTWORTHY. I encountered Water Heater installation issues that left my tenant without hot water for nearly a week. According to the manufacturer, the pilot/safety valve was shutting off due to my inadequate ventilation system. Bids for a new vent ran into the thousands. William (Quality Plumbing) came to my rescue. He immediately assessed that my issue was not due to poor venting but instead due to a faulty valve. He further remarked "Why should a venting system that worked for over 20 years suddenly become inadequate after the installation of a new water heater?"
