Moe was super helpful - he kept me updated on his way over, was super efficient at loading my car on a flatbed, and then transported it over to a local tire shop. After he dropped it off at the tire shop, he called to confirm, and let me know the name of the technician that he had spoken with. On Thurs July 30, my Safeco Towing dispatched Quality Towing at 11 am to pick up 1 Toyota 18 foot Sunrader mini motorhome to be towed to J & C Auto Repair in Logan Heights San Diego, 16 miles away. At 3 pm still no one showed up, so I called Quality Towing. They said they were trying to call me but stated various reasons why my phone number was not valid. The dispatch recited my phone number correctly. I already told them not to text it cos I only use land lines. Long story short no one showed up in the next 1.5 hours. Then someone with strong accent I could hardly understand, said he will arrive in 30 min. 30 min means they will pick up at 5 pm when the shop closes and it still takes maybe 50 minutes in the 5:00 traffic for the tow truck to deliver my vehicle after they close. I said no they're closing and he says he would put the keys in a Dropbox I told him there's no room at the shop and my driver's window is broken it won't lock and it is a bad area So I had to cancel that Towing when the mechanic was waiting to work on my truck that day. I rescheduled towing thenext day. The reason why I didn't rate this one star is because the next day another Quality Towing driver showed up in the time that they said that he would and he did a good job with no further incident delivering my RV to that mechanic shop. It is noteworthy although it has nothing to do with the towing, is the owner of the shop who was waiting for my RV to replace some gaskets that were leaking badly and they were still leaking when I had the vehicle towed back to my house, had a heart attack on the freeway 2 days after I got my RV back and he passed away!!! I find that very ironic. Now I don't know who's going to make his repair that's still leaking, right again. I really feel like Quality Towing was making up the reason for not showing up at my house that day, because my phone never rang and there is no record on my phone of them having even tried, like any "missed call" record. Claiming they need to hold my vehicle for 30 days forcing me to pay them more than the car is worth; to the tune of 2600 dollars that I certainly didn't have the money for; then taking my car & selling it at auction and requesting more money from me because those jerks didn't sell it for enough to cover there outrageous yard fees. Have you heard of the word reserve price? Totally crooked operation. Not only did they steal my car they, now they want to screw my credit up too for wanting to collect 683 dollars more. They deserve go out of business. I'm barely making ends meet coming off a major surgery, I could not drive while on medication I had my son drive to the store to get groceries and this crooked SDPD who has no intention of serving or protecting anyone impounds the car because my son didn't have his license yet. Well this could have been handled much more civilly, buy combined effort on both the SDPD & Quality Towing their absolutely horrible people. They could have helped me, but no; they chose to extort me. Well this business doesn't even deserve 1 star in my book. You won't receive a dime from me. Here's my review, long overdue. When my car broke down, the Quality Towing driver arrived about an hour after the call, and things felt off right away. Picked up my vehicle at the mechanics but needed a tow because I drove there and didn't have an extra driver and didn't want to pay an Uber. I have 3 free tows a year so I decided to let Quality towing tow my vehicle from the mechanic toy house. I drove the vehicle from the shop across the street to an alley for the flatbed and then said I'll meet you at the drop off location. When I arrived the tow was unloading the vehicle in the street but couldn't get the vehicle to move because he DAMAGED THE TRANSMISSION AND REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND THEN LEFT THE VEHICLE IN THE STREET WHEN I CALLED THE POLICE. The driver refused to provide identification or even his name as he knew he was guilty of causing MAJOR damage to my brand newly fixed vehicle. He left me in the street with the vehicle unable to move and the parking brake was released. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHADY TOW COMPANY! I will sue and am filing a police report and any other options I can to recover the damages that were caused by an incompetent and quite frankly rude and ignorant tow truck driver. read more

Service for my Mom was 05/11/2020 18:30. She let her Prius run out of gas and used her USAA roadside assistance. When truck 76 arrived (driver name I can't remember) she couldn't find her cash. I had $4.99 on me, the driver took the $4 bills and I've felt horrible and grateful about it since. Needless to say he went above and beyond. About 20 minutes later they called and said it was not "there area" even though they are located 10 miles away? I told them i would file a complaint if I fou d out otherwise. Driver named Abbas came out to my house within 35 minutes of my online request for help. The battery in my Jeep had died. He cheerfully greeted me with a new battery. Swapping out the battery under the passenger seat was a 5 minute job for Abbas. I had price checked the needed battery at Costco and the price from Quality Towing was very competitive considering installation was included. The guy insisted and assured me that my car was a total loss and it needed to go to their storage facility on Kurtz and that the insurance would go do the inspection at their location. My co-worker found out that the guy was refusing to take the car to the shop I had requested, he confronted him and told him he needed to listen to me and to take it to the shop I had requested to be taken. He got upset and left with my car refusing to take it to the shop. I had to call the main number and had to speak to his boss and demanded he called the driver to instruct him to take my vehicle to the address i had given my insurance. I found out later on a previous reviews that they do this on purpose so the owner has to pay them cash to release the car. Quality Towing deserves a -1 star rating. These guys are SHADY. UNETHICAL. My roadside assistance through my insurance called Quality to tow my daughter's vehicle which was broken down in the roadway and un-drivable. They wanted to charge as if it was wrecked, despite being broken down (the front wheel came disconnected from the front axle). They were completely unworkable despite our insurance agent trying to find a solution. After almost an hour of trying to work with them, they disconnected the car from the truck and drove away, leaving my daughter's car still stranded in the roadway. So unprofessional!!! Quality Towing showed up to pick up my car after I called AAA. I wasn't in town so my son met the driver who then convinced my son it should be taken to a different repair shop then the one I designated. I didn't know they took it to a different shop until the original repair shop called to tell me the car hadn't shown up 2 hours after AAA said the tow was complete. I called AAA again to get the car and again Quality Towing showed up but only after the wrong repair shop they had towed my car to had closed. I called AAA a third time to tow my car to the right repair shop and again Quality Towing showed up to tow the car. My son called me afterward to tell me they had him Zelle $200 or they wouldn't release the car from the wrong shop. I've complained to AAA already and asked for the refund of the $200. I requested a tow service through state farm. I am able to track where the driver is when it's on its way to pick me up. This time I wasn't with my car so I was tracking the whole trip through the link state farm provides. I was the driver drove by the dealership it was supposed to go to but didn't deliver the ca in Lemon Grove, CA. For a whole hour the driver was in El Cajon, CA. When I would call the company, which was about 5 times, they would always say the driver was 5-10 min out. I requested for the driver to contact me which he never did. Previous drivers have always called or texted me to keep me updated. Also, the driver from the day before messaged me before arriving and called me when he dropped off my car at the first dealership it was supposed to go to. I did threaten to take legal action since the driver had my car at another location that I did not approve of, none of the employees were able to give me an accurate answer and were "unable" to get in contact with the driver. This was through geico roadside rescue. I called and the guy at the office sounded profesional and polite. He asked where the car was and the situation, told him it was on the street, it needed to get towed to bmw dealer and I had manually put it on neutral, that it didn't drive and to please tell the driver so they would just get to it. Ok driver gets there, fairly fast, you would think this guy was a cop... he started questioning me where the keys where, I told him the key was not programmed, how did it get there if it didn't run? If I have driven it there? I'm like what does it matter? just tow it to the dealer, to what he replied that if I didn't answer he wouldn't, so I told him, fine just leave! I called the office and told them, asked them to send a different driver.. He then starts looking at the car taking pictures, I keep telling him you are not gonna tow it, you need to leave, he continues ignoring me, so I begin video taping and I'm telling him he needs to leave the car alone and leave, he got on my face when I kept him from getting in my car and it looked like he was gonna hit me when I reminded him I was video taping he stopped. Finally had to call the office again to ask them to tell their driver to leave, I had already called them. Well he didn't want to. He parked the tow in front of the car as if he was gonna go ahead and hook it so I got in my other car and got in the middle. Finally he left. What in the world is wrong with these people? Wow, this is the worst towing experience ever. I'm still on the side of the road. Driver left me stalled because he accepted another call and marked mine complete so he could get paid. I knew it was doom d when the tow truck driver showed up without jumper cables and had to call his friend to bring him some to jump my car. After an hour waiting for driver #2 with cables, they jumped it. Then it stalled. When I asked them for a tow they said they couldn't because they were already off to another call, and just drove away. Unbelievable fraudsters and they obviously didn't care about helping me. This towing company was by far the worst towing experience I have ever had. They left us out on the shoulder of the freeway for over 4 hours. They kept telling us 20 minutes. 10 minutes. 30 minutes. Over and over again until it was past 2 in the morning. we called over 10 times. The driver was extremely rude when he finally showed up. He threatened to cancel on us because we complained at the 4 hour delay and rude service. He was extremely racist towards us. We called AAA to file a complaint and they were going to send another tow service if they didn't show up within 30 minutes. The rudeness was beyond tolerable and I highly advise everyone to never use this company. Steer clear of them at all cost They are horrible.
