Update after install 6 years ago: I called to request adjustments to the doors as they gradually fall out of alignment due to heat/cold, earthquake movements, etc. This was covered under warranty. It took 2 follow ups, but within a couple of days, Vartan came to fix them all, even though he had a cast on his wrist! He did his magic and within minutes, all my doors were gliding again with that soft close they had when first installed. I recommend QVP and Chris and Vartan to anyone interested in replacing your outdoor gates. Thanks QVP! read more

We needed to replace a old wooden fence in March 2020 and one of our neighbors suggested we replace it with Vinyl and to call a local business Quality Vinyl located on Vanowen in North Hollywood. Hi yelpers!! I used Quality Vinyl in November 2019 to install an 8 foot high 63 foot long Privacy fence that borders my property and a neighbor. One of my neighbors put me in a situation that I needed a fence installed ASAP. The only company I knew I would use is Quality Vinyl because they had installed a fence and arbor for one of my best friends 15 years ago and he gave them an excellent recommendation. Greg is my salesman and he came out that day and gave me a quote. Greg is fair, kind, friendly, professional and listens to his customers needs. He promptly returns calls and text messages and he has all the answers. He indicated their install time frame was in about 2 weeks and within 3 days I got a call they had an opening and could install my new fence right away. I was ecstatic!! The install guys did a fantastic job and my new fence and gate are just gorgeous. This past Sunday night we had strong winds that snapped the posts on a 20 year old wood fence. Rather than fix this fence my neighbor and I are replacing it with a 53 foot long 6 foot high vinyl privacy fence. We contacted Quality Vinyl because they installed a vinyl fence and gate at another family member's house. They were quick in scheduling an appointment with their sales representative. Chris, their sales rep, was great and he seemed to know what we needed and was quick in providing a quote. He offered a discount and informed us that the estimated time to start the job was about 4-6 weeks from the time we pay the 10% down payment. We received quotes from other companies. Other quotes we received were about the same. Others were only $100 more even with the discount but their start dates were about 8-9 weeks. So we selected Quality Vinyl because they indicated that they would be able to start within approximately 4-6 weeks from the time we paid the deposit. There was no contact or communication from the company since we paid the deposit. We provided our payment on June 24, 2021. The payment posted to our card on June 30, 2021. We were expecting a call from them to let us know when to expect the installation but days and weeks go by and nothing. I called their sales rep and asked about installation. He informed us that he doesn't schedule the installation date and someone else is responsible for this. I called their office to find out when we should expect the installation. Every time I called they would tell me they'd return my call but they never did (not once). I called several times after that and was given different reasons for the delay. They informed that their foreman was at a job site and they would ask him to call me or they would ask him and they would call me back, another time they told me that he was out of the county on vacation and he would be back the following Monday and would call me by then. That Monday came so I called the office again and I was informed that he was calling customers back and they again promised that he would call me. We still did not receive a call back. To Quality Vinyl: If you want customers to refer you to others or if you want them to use your company again for future projects, please communicate with your customers and only promise what you can deliver. Your sales rep is great but there is no follow through. Your company name is "Quality Vinyl Products" but quality is not just about the product. Quality is also about the overall experience and service your customers receive from everyone who represents your company. Communicate with your customers after the sale. Provide accurate information about the installation date. If there is a delay, it is better to tell the customer that there is a delay. At least give a date because customers may be using these dates to plan other projects (we need an accurate timeline to start and finish other projects). Only promise what you can deliver. Don't provide an estimated start date that is not even close to the actual start date. Call customers back when you tell them you will return their phone calls. How can customers trust your company if you can't even meet your estimated start date or even return phone calls when you say you'll call them back? How do you expect us to do business with your company again? As of 08/10/2021, we still have not heard from Quality Vinyl. It has been more than 6 weeks since we provided our payment info and about 6 weeks since the payment posted. All we need is the installation date - we need to know when we should expect the installation done. If you can't provide an installation date, please refund our deposit so we can hire another company to do the job. read more

This company's after sales customer service is a joke. It's quite clear that they don't care, even when it costs them future sales! We had a picket fence installed in our front yard by QVP, and were quite pleased with the work. We were happy enough to ask them for an estimate for a privacy fence in our back yard, for which they quoted $2560. Before we said yes to the work in the back yard, our landscaper was trimming trees in the front and a limb fell on the existing fence and broke a slat and cap. So, I called QVP and asked if they could replace the broken parts. I spoke to Vartan, explained the situation, and he said he would come out and fix it for me. But, he never showed up on the scheduled day. Presuming he had got busy, I called to reschedule...multiple times. But, Vartan never called me back. I even explained in my voicemail messages to Vartan that we had the other quote pending, and I made it clear I would not agree to that work if they couldn't bother to respond regarding the front yard repairs. After several messages to Vartan I tried calling the office instead and left a message for Jack, who I was told is the owner. I explained the situation to him, but he didn't call me back either! I really don't understand the logic in losing a $2600 job because a $75 repair is too much trouble. I gave them plenty of chances and warnings, but they simply didn't care enough to respond. Perhaps they are so busy that it doesn't matter to them? Must be nice. Although, reading the other Yelp reviews it's clear this is how they operate. As I write this review I am watching the new fence company (not QVP!) install my privacy fencing in the back yard. I am glad I learned about QVP's work ethic before I gave them any more money, and am happy to take my business elsewhere. read more

We had a fence installed back in July 2013 a few months later one of the brackets started to crack. We called and left messages to have someone come replace it as We were told the fence had a life time warranty. We never got a call back so we contacted the warranty department on the fence. Come to find out quality vinyl used aftermarket parts that are covered by the warranty this was never stated in our contract. Once Quality Vinyl found out we contacted the warranty department they returned our phone calls and accused us of breaking the bracket. Vartian the owner after accusing me of barking the bracket said he would call me back. To date no return call. We have left numerous messages. Don't use them they don't use a product that is covered by the "life time" warranty so if anything happens to your fence you won't get it fixed. read more

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!! NOT DELIVERED AS PROMISED - NOT EVEN CLOSE - WONT RETURN MY CALLS AFTER BEING PAID I strongly suggest that you don't use this company. Initially I was very excited for my new patio cover. Here is what happened: Vartan came out to my house to give me an estimate. We agreed on a price and work commenced a week later. I called him to let him know that the patio cover wasn't waterproof as he promised. He went silent for 2 weeks with no communication at all. FINALLY he called me back and said he had been dealing with a family emergency. I said no problem. He showed up to waterproof the cover and told me to wait until the weekend before checking it. He then showed both my husband and I where the metal beam was in the center panel. This was where we should hang the ceiling fan. Very happy with everything. I paid him and he left. THEN EVERYTHING CHANGED.... I hired someone to install the ceiling fan. He couldn't find the metal beam. We called Vartan and he sent us a diagram of what it looks like and even got on the phone with us more than once in that afternoon to try to explain where the beam could be found. The beam still couldn't be found. Vartan offered to come out to show us exactly where it was and met the installer at my house. EVEN HE WAS SHOCKED... there was no beam!!! Vartan told me there was another way to install it. From the top! Sounds sketchy to me but he said he could do it and it would be solid. He agreed to install the fan for me and supply all the materials and bring it to the outlet. I was happy with this. We set a time and date for him to come to my house. Sunday at 11:00. Only thing was, I was going to be out of town this particular weekend. No problem, he said he would let himself in and get it done. I was due to leave Saturday morning and I checked that everything was ready for him to come out to install the fan. Just to be sure, I ran the hose over the cover to confirm that it was waterproof. GUESS WHAT??? It leaks everywhere! I took a video and sent it to him in a panic. I left for the weekend and was so excited to come home to my new fan. HE NEVER SHOWED UP AND HE HAS NEVER RESPONDED SINCE JULY 8TH when he promised to come out and install the fan. I have sent countless voice mail and text messages! He just doesn't care. I now have a cover that is NOT WATERPROOF AND ONE WHERE I CAN'T INSTALL A FAN!! The cover is up against the house and when it rains, the water will eventually mildew the wood that it's attached to. I did not get what I paid for! This is wrong and very bad business. We will be going to small claims court to settle this matter. My initial invoice from Vartan states exactly "solid cover waterproof" I DID NOT GET WHAT HE PROMISED. AS THE OWNER OF THIS COMPANY. HE SHOULD BE ASHAMED! I didn't say a word when he went totally silent for 2 weeks. This time it's just too much! He got paid and has moved on without a care in the world that he didn't deliver! If I could give them zero stars I would. Called them to get an estimate for a wooden fence that would be split with a neighbor. Each family got their own estimate from Greg for their portion. We all agreed and a few days later, work began. Right away, problems showed up. Once half the fence had gone up, it was obvious that it was crooked and wavy, when the previous fence had not been. The crew told us to take it up with their boss, who became irate with the complaint and yelled that the ground on the hillside was uneven and there was nothing they could do. After an hour, the same boss called again and told us they were disregarding any input from us moving forward as the neighbor had offered them more money to ignore our desires regarding the height and style of this shared fence, despite there being an existing contract laying out what was to be built. When asked whether this was appropriate or fair behavior toward a customer, we were yelled at incessantly about how making more money is exactly how a business is run, so they would ignore the contract due to being paid to do so. The crew then left the job half done and did not return to finish until the next day. Once the fence was done and the crew had left, it was discovered that a gate that was connected to fence was broken. We called the company again to let them know that they had caused damage to the gate when they installed the fence that no longer allows it to close, and they claimed the gate had been broken to begin with (absolutely untrue as it was working fine up until the morning of the fence installation). Save yourself the stress and money and pick a company that will respect your wishes and do the job properly. read more

Home Depot hires this company to come out to take measurements for gate/fence installation. Vartan come out to my house, took measurements and showed me my options. He said he would email me estimates within 2-3 days. That was 8/20/12; it is now 9/17/12 and NOTHING. I have called Home Depot no less than 4 times to follow-up; they claim to have called Quality Vinyl several times, who told HD that they would contact me. NOTHING. Finally, I was told to contact QV directly, and when I did and explained the situation, instead of apologizing for the delay and offering to figure out what happened, Anna told ME to call the cell phone of the guy who did the measurements! Wait? Do I work there now? It feels like I've done most of the leg work anyway, so maybe I do and didn't know it. I don't know if this a HD problem or QV problem, but I'm certainly done chasing them around to spend my money. read more

Terrible company. Terrible customer service. I called last week to set up an appointment for someone to come to my home for an estimate on vinyl fencing. My appointment was for 3:00 p.m. today. At 3:50 no one had showed up or called. I called the company and was told the rep was stuck in traffic and would be here in one hour. I told them I was disappointed in them, in that I had to call them to see why no one had showed up at the scheduled time - that was very poor customer service. She apologized and assured me that someone would be here in one hour. Here we are, TWO HOURS later and still NO ONE. I called the company again, but of course, it's after 5 p.m. so they're closed. Appointment was made on the spot and the sales rep Chris was on time as promised, they gave very competitive pricing but they were slightly lower than the other companies. So we went ahead with the job, installers came out and everything was going smooth, but we ran into a small issue and that was fixed immediately by the Forman Vartan S. I experienced pretty much everything in all the other reviews, good and not so good. I have used this company 3 times and the end result in each was top quality at the lowest quoted price on all three jobs. Unlike some others, I have had good follow-up after each job. The biggest issue with this company is scheduling and responsiveness, which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. The key is you have to constantly stay on top of them, which is frustrating for a lot of people in today's "everything now" culture. If you have a little patience and don't mind holding them to their contracts, you will be rewarded with high quality at very competitive prices. My wife and I ganged up on Vartan and his office staff with multiple calls to make sure they showed up and we carefully inspected every finished job. In the end, we got everything we wanted at literally thousands less than any other bid we got, on all three jobs! These are good people and I would recommend them because of quality and price, but know that you will have to monitor their work for the duration of the job. read more

Do not use this company. Once they have your money, they do not care about you what so ever. My vinyl fence literally fell apart and the steel inside rusted. It took over a week and numerous phone calls and messages just to get a call back from vartan. Once I got a call back, it took another week for him to come out to pick up the gate, because he would not show up when he said he would. Vartan finally picked up the gate on Thursday 12/17, and said he would have it back by Monday 12/21. Needless to say, after numerous calls and messages once again, I did not hear from vartan again until a week and a half later. He assured me that he would have the gate installed no later than the next day by 11am. Of course that did not happen, and finally after waiting a total of 2 weeks, and placing dozens of calls to vartans cell and office I got the gate back. Hopefully the gate stays together this time, and doesn't rust again, but if it does I am going to use another company. read more

I have used this company three different times. The first two times they did a great job and came on time. In 2014, I used them again and they changed the look of the fence gate I picked out. It doesn't match the other gate in my yard. This was probably an accident but I was a bit disappointed. I had them install it anyway and it looks fine. This year they said they would show up for another estimate and they didn't show up nor did they call. My experience with them is not consistent. read more
