I have only ever had the sushi at Quan's Kitchen and it is always fresh and delicious. I recently tried the striped bass sashimi which I had never had anywhere before and I really enjoyed it! Quan's has become our go-to delivery place, but since there's a lack of really stellar Chinese places around (I'm spoiled by some really outstanding places in Quincy), that means the food is OK but not out of this world. They're the only place around where I've been able to find half-decent Lo Mein, but it's still not hugely flavorful. A few of our go-to dishes: - Scallion Pancakes: OK but sometimes soggy somehow? - Pork Lo Mein: noodles are a good texture, and the pork is decent quality but could use more veggies and more sauce. Kind of bland. - Beef Teriyaki: I love the flavor of their teriyaki and it's cooked well, but they seem to use rather fatty meat which is not a great idea for something cooked for such a short time. read more

Up until a week ago this would have been 5 stars due to their great food. Last week though I ordered rice with extra egg and they sent it regular. They then went on to say after sending pictures that what they sent me was correct. We have eaten there for years and we have ordered this before. Normally there is egg everywhere. Two days ago I placed an order for pickup on NYE (tonight). I was told to show up at 5:30pm to get my food by 6pm. I arrived just after 5:30 to find a line looping all the way through the parking lot. I waited 45 minutes to get to the front of the line. Once there I found that they were simply grabbing bags of food from in the shop and yelling out order numbers. It didn't actually matter where you were in line physically. Was there a total of 2 hours and fifteen minutes before calling it quits. I asked the employees to check for my order several times once I got to the front of the line, but they never brought it out. Instead they were calling out numbers of people who were at the end of the line or had a scheduled pickup time after mine. No social distancing rules were being enforced and hundreds of prepared food was sitting in the restaurant. I left without my food because I didn't want to spend $300 on food that had probably been sitting out on a shelf for hours. Plus I was very cold read more

Ordered for delivery; when the order came, one of the items was wrong and when we called, they said if we wanted the correct item we could come pick it up. Two of the other items were cold, one of the items was missing a sauce and the Peking ravioli has a hair on it. Gross. If it was only one or even two of these issues, I wouldn't be writing a review. So,...order placed. 30 minute delivery time communicated. 1 hour and 20 minutes later I call Quan's to find out where the hell the order is....after 5 minutes on hold they tell me I can get a credit on my order for another night..? What?... The manager Devon get's on the line after a call back and additional wait to inform me the driver is close if I still want the food I can have it..... So.... I can have the seafood that's been riding shot gun for an hour while your driver fumbles with his Haggstroms.... Nah I'm all set. Challenge is with Amex as they already processed the charge and now I need to hawk the card to ensure they put my funds back. Hungry,..and pissed with a house full of people just like me. I spent years delivering Chinese food, and fully understand Friday night can get away from you especially if you have a house or two that's hard to find. The 1 star is fully earned by an inept manager who only managed to make an bad situation worse by acting like a dick. Oh...BTW last month when I opened my "free" egg rolls there was a live cockroach in the bag. Going here to drink is a great call, Daniel is a good guy. Ordering takeout is a crap shoot. I used to order take out from Quan's a lot on my way home from work. Not anymore. One weekend, I decided to call and see if they delivered to my area of Attleboro. The girl who answered the phone said yes and assured me delivery time was about 30 min. She also quoted me a price of $26 and change. I waited 50 min., no food. So I called back. I got the same girl on the phone who basically dismissed me and said the driver had gotten lost, but was now only a few minutes away. I hung up thinking my food would be arriving momentairily. I was wrong. Another 30 min went by before the doorbell rang. When my boyfriend answered the door, he was told the total was now over $33! I went to the door and explained that was not the price I was given over the phone, and besides, they were almost an hour late! The delivery boy just shrugged his shoulders and repeated the price. At this point I realized that our food, some of which was pork, had been possible travelling around in a car for well over an hour and I definitely didn't want to risk eating it. I advised the driver to take the food back and that I would be calling the restaurant to let them know I had refused the delivery. When I called the restaurant for the third time, I got the same girl on the phone again, and was placed on hold for several minutes. When she finally came back and I explained the situation and my frustration, she only replied, "So you refused delivery?" there was no apology, and in fact she seemed miffed that we wouldn't accept food that had been riding around in a car for almost an hour and a half. By this time I was fed up and told her we wouldn't be ordering take out again and hung up. Not worth the hassel. We went to Five Guys Burgers instead and got our food in minutes. After a long day of shopping, we were lost in Southeastern Mass. starving and desperate (it was 9:45ish) and we were contemplating going into Boston to try and make it to Fugakyu when we stumbled upon Quan's Kitchen. There were alot of cars so instinctively, the place perked our interest and sushi was what we had in mind, but my friend didn't like the "look" of the sign. It was maroon with red lettering...not the most attractive sign. However, the interior upon entering was nothing like what the sign would suggest. Rich oak, marble reception table, large stone buddha's and a great lively ambiance. The sushi bar was about to close so we quickly ordered. The sashimi appetizer (slices of white fish, tuna, and salmon atop a bed of seaweed salad) was adorably served in a martini glass and the fish was arranged to look like flowers sitting on top a garden of seaweed. The seaweed was a tad too salty but the presentation and the remarkable freshness of the sushi made up for it. My friend ordered the spicy salmon roll and salmon nigiri. He kept urging me to try the spicy salmon roll because apparently, it was just perfect. I didn't try it because my hands were full with the futomaki, striped bass nigiri, and the squid nigiri. The squid nigiri was so perky and fresh and had that lovely chewy texture. The striped bass had a slightly "wild game" taste like how venison tastes in comparison to beef. I had never tried it before and liked how different it was. The futomaki was amazing and I couldn't stop stuffing my mouth until it was all gone. The flavors of the egg, daikon, crab, and cucumber complemented each other so well that I really enjoyed each piece of the maki. Presentation of the sushi was pretty standard, arranged on a large platter. Lastly, we had a large platter of Kiji steak which was strips of steak piled high with snow peas, water chestnuts, carrots, broccoli, and bok choy in a brown garlic sauce. I only ate the vegetables because I was so full and I was so impressed. The vegetables weren't overcooked and had a nice, light flavor. The steak looked pretty fatty but my friend assured me that it was delicious. The waitress was so cute and spoke very good English. She was attentive and prompt even when we were the very last customers to leave. The manager shouted out a boisterous "Thanks! Have a nice night!" as we stepped out the door leaving us with a wonderful feeling of satisfaction of having found a place with both great service, wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. FYI: Erik Quan always loved to study physics and chemistry. That love may have developed an incredible cooking style and breakthrough that took years to perfect. The process uses special below zero freezers and water. In Quan's Kitchen you'll find an extremely cold freezer and a special high speed water mixer. With the mixer, Erik is able to add water into the meats prior to freezing for 7 days. The secret: they have a special treatment process that uses frozen water molecules to break down meat fiber. The result: tender and flavorful meats, food that looks good even when cold. The cooking process is healthy, natural and good. read more

Honesty is the best policy - so I'll preface this with I really don't like Chinese food in general. I usually only order 2-3 things - mooshi chicken, scallion pancakes and chicken and crab rangoons. With that said - this stuff was pretty good. I didn't feel like crap when we left. I ordered miso soup and mooshi chicken. The chicken bits were HUGE. Kinda weird but it worked. BUT... and this was a HUGE HUGE turnoff - the sushi guys were staring at us eat the ENTIRE TIME WE WERE THERE. I'd get takeout from here again but I'll never eat in the restaurant. I've only eaten here twice and it was fantastic. Service, appearance and food were excellent. That said I get delivery from here at least a couple of time a month. Every time it's here quick (usually in 25 - 30 minutes) and the order is always right. This is my favorite asian restaurant in the area as far as take-out is concerned. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Love it! not the same old nasty take out Chinese food. dinner plates are enough to keep you full for two days. The dining room and bar area are nice. Its beautiful in there. Prices are fair. Drinks are great (mai tai is strong but good enough to still drink). General Gau's is delicious, sweet and spicy. PooPoo platter is huge. Our last waiter made a comment that we obviously liked the food cause it was all gone. Even with that said, would choose this place over any other in the area. read more

I'm starting this place with 4 stars...dropped a star for mediocre delivery service. It always seems that you get better service and food if you dine in. Several occasions had their sushi and salad delivered...smaller portions and still the same price. A bit on the high end. What makes this place stand out from the rest in the area....cleanliness!! They're kitchen is encased in glass so you can see them cooking. It's a showpiece b/c many chinese kitchens are dirty and you always wonder if they pick it up off the floor sometimes. Quan's Kitchen is pretty good these days. Many moons passed between sit-down meals there because one time around 2005 we were seated next to a table of cackling, unwashed hoi polloi, who made it hard to enjoy my squid. So for years I vowed not to go back until Quan's hired a bouncer. But the more-recent sit-down experience was nice, so we're buds once again. I really like Quan's for takeout. You don't get as many sheer pounds of food as you do at Dragon Garden, but the portions are solid and there's more tofu. Tofu is like dilithium for us vegetarians. I'm also more confident that the sauce is animal-free (although perhaps I should just ask some time). The food is always done on-time and the service is friendlier than it is elsewhere. read more

When once I was willing to venture beyond the Prov-city borders (let alone state borders), I was known to frequent Quan's. The service here is (was) pretty exceptional. But allow me, if you would, to talk about something far more important - their scorpion bowls. Huge, inexpensive and prepared with crushed ice and lots of pineapple. So terribly disappointed. Pad Thai was lacking flavor, and was nothing but over cooked noodles, chicken and peanuts. I asked for extra limes but received not even one. If you like "Americanized" Asian cuisine - you will give this plce 5 stars. If you like authentic Asian cuisine, this is not THAT place. For your standard American-Asian fare - it's better than your typical place. The decor is nice, the wait-staff are friendly - and you can tell that the owners care about keeping up their image and quality. If you want something resembling authentic Chinese (or Japanese sushi) - then you won't like this place, at all. My friends in the area like that they deliver. North Attleboro location used to be good. I just ordered and food arrived quick but was disgusting and cold. Crab ragoons have changed for the worst no flavor. Charged me 595 for one egg roll and beef egg foo young was terrible. Light tan no flavor gravy on it and hard any beef at all. Way over priced for garbage. Never again. read more

My dad and I had a craving for chinese food. I went on Yelp.com to check out some nearby chinese eateries for us. Saw that Quan's Kitchen had really great reviews so I told my dad to go to Quan's. We ended up having to take out, ordered the wonton soup, fried calamari, chicken chow mein, and a "large vegetable rolls" (these rolls are large in size not in quantity). The wonton soup smelled gross so that ruined my appetite already, the chicken chow mein isn't typical, it was pale and had no color so I didn't dare try to eat it. However, the fried calamari was ok. I would never go back here for chinese food, but it doesn't matter all that much because I live in California. I'll give Quan's Kitchen this: GREAT DINING ROOM. I mean this place was classy and nice. I've been here 20-30 times dine in and take-out and the food has always been top notch. The menu isn't mind-blowing, but they do all the basic Asian dishes very well. The sushi here is fantastic and they have seating in front of the sushi chef so you can watch him work (he also is willing to give suggestions and samples while you're deciding or waiting for your order). Many people, me included, swear by their Crab Rangoon, because it actually contains crabmeat and isn't greasy or overly-filling (which I don't like in appetizers). The impressive thing is that none of their fried dishes have ever been greasy or gunked up with too much batter like most cheapo Chinese takeout places. The one complaint I'd have is that sometimes their dishes are a bit on the small side...but I think that mostly comes from years of crappy Chinese food piled high on platters. There was one instance where the waiter was clearly new and didn't do a great job, but other than that one time (out of many experiences), I've been treated very well by the staff. The dining room is very classy, but the from the outside you'd think this was just any old regular Chinese take-out (except for the always-near-full parking lot). I seriously can't fathom why there are several low ratings for this place (I suspect some people just enjoy being critical for no good reason). The only better Chinese food I've ever had has been in SF Chinatown...this beats any of the places I've been to in Boston by far (for Chinese food...not the other Asian food on the menu). The popularity of this place speaks for itself...it's city-quality Chinese food in the 'burbs. read more

Every time I come home from LA, my second stop (after Dunkins) is here! I have not found better Chinese food anywhere across the country! The scallion pancakes are to die for! The beef teriyaki strips, outstanding! Crab Rangoon, best ever! I could go through the whole menu! I love it all. If they could deliver to LA, I'd have it twice a week! We went to Quan's for sushi and I wish now I would have tried something else. Started off with crab rangoon appetizer that was pretty tasty but the sushi lacked flavor. I even asked the waiter what the specialty roll was which was the most bland out of them all. It seemed way over priced for sushi that lacked creativity and flavor. I tried the Boston Maki, Spicy Salmon Maki and the Quan's Special... None of which I would recommend. The best tasting roll was the Philly Maki my boyfriend ordered. Our friend ordered a beef and vegetable dish that smelled amazing and seemed the way to go. If we visit this place again I definitely won't be ordering any sushi. read more

We are fans of the Phantom Gourmet show and after viewing the commercials for Quan's Kitchen so many times and upon the recommendations of the Andelman brothers, we decided to finally make a trip there for lunch during an outing to the Emerald Square Mall on Saturday afternoon. AMBIENCE: The upscale, contemporary Chinese décor was refreshing. SERVICE: No complaints. Our server, Tommy, was very pleasant and saw to all our needs in a prompt manner (we arrived at 3:30 and there was only one other table occupied in the main dining area during the time we were there). He also spoke English very well. An especially nice touch at the end of our meal was his providing us with warm, moist towelettes to clean our sticky fingers. FOOD: After perusing Quan's extensive menu (not only do they have Chinese food, but also Japanese and Thai options, including sushi and Pad Thai), the two of us decided to share an order of eggrolls (2, filled with crisp veggies and tender pork), and plates of pork moo shi with pancakes (6), kung pao shrimp, and pork fried rice. All of the food was well prepared with good flavor---not at all greasy---but we both thought the moo shi was outstanding. My only slight problem (not aired to Tommy) was with the kung pao: although we were happy to see that the dish contained quite a few large, succulent shrimp, it was not at all spicy, as we had expected, despite the fact that it contained a number of those little red chili peppers, and the carrot strips in the dish were a bit too crunchy for my liking. A delightful and piping hot oolong tea was served to us at the beginning of our meal in a funky (and very heavy) iron teapot---we drank it all, but Tommy packed up about half of the food for us to enjoy the next day. PRICES: A good value considering the quality and freshness of the food. Since it is over an hour's drive to North Attleboro from our home, we would go back only if we were in the area, but strongly recommend to others who will be in the area that they skip the food court at the mall and visit Quan's for some solid Chinese fare in a very nice atmosphere. read more
