I have had a pool man for 12 years and up until recently I had to find a new pool service because the pool man I had suddenly stopped returning calls or accepting any contact, (he also wasn't cheap). I then got someone from Quan's Pool to service my home and I have never been so satisfied with a pool service. The person who serviced my pool arrived just when they said they would, was polite, respectful, very courteous, and got to work right away very efficiently. He began by explaining to me what he was going to do, and what sort of work should be expected from a good pool service. He explained to me very clearly, and detailed in a way very easy to understand. He finished his work very quickly and had done an excellent job. He walked me through what he did and showed me pictures of the differences. I last pool man had left my pool green and moldy, and I can not recall the last time if ever he cleaned my pool filter but Quan's pool left my pool looking brand new and showed me my cleaned filter and explained to me the importance of it. Before the man left he even gave me expert advice on how to maintain my pool and take of it. New homeowner, who has never owned or cleaned a pool before. I looked up this company and called John out to give me his sales pitch on pool service. I would say that I was impressed. He came out relatively quickly and was on time. We walked the back and he tested my pool and told me that all I had to do was maintain it after running some tests on it. Recommended to me that a good pool service includes chemicals and that anything under $90 was pretty much cutting the corner with cleaning and chemicals. I did some prior research and this was right around the ball park. He took the time to run me thru my pump system, answer my hundred questions, and not try to push anything on me for services or products. Friendly, he just made some recommendations and left it up to me decide what I wanted to do. No hassle, no high pressure sales pitch. I was looking for someone to replace my pool pump. I'm very diligent when it comes to research. After going through several calls, Yelping, I asked Quan's pool to do the pump replacement. John came by with his assistant, looked at my pump and gave me the parts to order online and scheduled the install for the following week. John could have sold me the parts but he says it's more economical to get the parts online. The following week John came and replaced the pump. I have three pumps and they are very close together. Getting in and out was not easy but John was able to finish it that day. He even showed me and my son to operate the new pump. He also gave some advice to my son on how to clean the pool. My brother and I inherited a house from my pops recently when he passed away and was left with a swimming pool that hadn't been serviced or cleaned for a few years. I had ducks in my pool, daily. I called John to get advice and a quote on thursday and he was at my house the next day. It needed to be drained, scrubbed down, acid wash, etc,. Within 2 days my pool was turned from a mosquito pond back into a cannonball having swimming pool. My pump also turned out to be bad after getting the pool back in action so I had him replace/install a new pump (and the grids of my filter as well) and his work was quick and professional. They did great work and also made sure my backyard was secured when working and leaving so my dog wouldn't get out, great guys i would recommend and will use again when needed! read more

Approximately 6 months ago, my pool guy told me my pump was no longer working, I decided to wait it out until the spring time, much to my dismay my pool became a pond. I went on Yelp to find a company that could handle this massive clean up, after reading all the AWESOME and SATISFIED customers' review about Quan's, I called and spoke with John. He came to my house and was floored when he saw how horrible my pool was. Upon checking my pump he immediately told me my pump was working fine. First of all I want to say " Thank God for yelp and it's trusted reviews." We had some major issues w/ our pool guy of 5 years. Things were good in the beginning,we had a salt water system and for some reason it stopped working..We were told that it would cost $4500 to replace it, we just decided to have him do chlorine.After some time. we started to notice pool guy was becoming Flakey! Originally he would come to service the pool weekly, it was apparent that there was more debris.. He didn't even show up for a whole month due to a family emergency.. It's still a job and the professional thing to do is inform your client or send out your partner. The fact that we had to call him was terrible!! The mistake we made was to give him the benefit of the doubt and still continue to give him a chance since he had a tragedy occur in his family.. Summer of 2012 there were at least 2 incidents of the pool turning GREEN and another w/ pool & jacuzzi completely Green. Unacceptable &. Gross! I did a search on yelp and found John/ Quans pool- All the reviews were right on the money! I explained the situation and made an appt to have him come out, unfortunately I had to reschedule due to catching the flu and he was nothing but accommodating. He had a great follow up w/ me. We ended up finding out that it cost about$1700 to replace the salt water system. Our previous guy was too lazy or incompetent to do it for us, plus John stated with the system he would only have to come out once every 6 months to do maintenance, so in the long run you really do save $$$$. Wow.. Fred (prev pool guy) really took advantage of us coming out & still charging $75 a month when we did have the salt water system. To say the least we love John & his partner! It was the day before Forth of July, we were getting ready to have all our family over for our forth of July pool party and our pool was turning green with Algae. We had a pool guy who supposedly "serviced" our pool every Wednesday. I was so upset to think that our pool guy was so cruel to overlook that our pool was turning green just days before our big party. Needless to say he was immediately fired. I jumped on yelp in the hopes that I could find someone who was good enough and willing to come out last minute to fix our problem and be ready to swim in just 24 hours. I found John on yelp with so many 5 stars so of course I had to give him a call. From the second I called him he said to send him some pics of my pool so he can see how bad it was. Thank goodness he said it wasn't bad but if not treated it would only get worse obviously. I explained to him I was desperate and needed service like -now! He was super busy that day but he did send out one of his pool guys within 2 hours. The guy was great. He took so much time pointing out all the problems that my old pool guy was neglecting. I too found John on Yelp. My pool and spa were not properly cared for by my previous pool guy. The salt cell was not functioning and my former pool guy was just throwing in chlorine and leaving chlorine tablets (and the wrappers) in my filter. I thought my pool needed to be replastered because my old pool guy "acid washed" the pool with the promise of a rejuvenated look, but there was no difference on the discoloration of the plaster. Then John of Quan's Pool Service comes to the rescue. He gave me his thoughts of what was needed to bring my pool back so I could enjoy looking at it and using it. His acid wash revealed a beautiful dark grey pebble tech finish that I never knew I had . I bought this home 3 years ago and thought the pool surface was green plaster. He replaced the salt cell and now my whole system is up and running again. The water is crystal clear. John has been coming weekly to maintain the pool and I couldn't be happier.
