I thought it was a thought provoking movie with a spiritual connection, many excellent actors in the movie. More of an issue with AMC but they advertise on Tuesdays a $5 popcorn and soda combo but they didn't have it and wouldn't honor it! I showed them it on their website and they just said "yeah corporate does that but we don't have a button for it. It's a temporary deal that comes and goes." Then why is it currently on AMC's website like it's always a thing? You would think the theater would just honor it or escalate to corporate if it is bad advertising.

My daughter has some membership there, so she got a free small popcorn. The popcorn turned out to be stale and lackluster. Afterwards, I went to the counter with the small bag still full, and told them about this, asking for some fresh popcorn. I was told by a manager that this was their "ranch popcorn" that they gave out for the coupons and it was prepackaged. They could not substitute the regular fresh popcorn for it which he called "Gourmet Popcorn". So, popcorn being incredibly cheap in the first place, a manager could not see the benefit of having a happy customer over an unhappy one. And, at the end of the night they have to throw it away anyhow.

The theater is a decent size especially considering it's in the Chicago Ridge Mall, they even had a bar in the theater which is a nice touch, concessions, and even had a lot of mini claw machines. It was really cool that AMC even had merch of their own and even from various movies as well. Movie Experience: The movie was showing in screen/theater 2 and the layout of the theater was nice. The movie in my opinion was really good and they even had a post-credit scene with both Daniel LaRusso & Johnny Lawrence. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the theater walls at least in screen/theater 2 are thin as I was hearing muffled audio from the theater next door. I'm wondering how this can be resolved. Maybe sound proofing each theater to truly get the full movie theater experience? Just my thoughts on this. Claw Machines: The claw machines are $1 per play. The claw machines don't accept bills or card, so you have to go to this machine that gives you tokens. My boyfriend spent $5 in tokens and unfortunately I didn't win anything even though some of the prizes looked gettable. Overall Experience: Overall, I had great experiences at the AMC theater in the Chicago Ridge mall. The theater was clean, easy to navigate, & the bathrooms were clean. Definitely need to go back soon and hopefully I can win me some cute plushies from their mini claw machines. The center table thing was all ripped up - and it was just gross. No one ever came by to see if we wanted anything - and granted we never hit the service button, but ummmm popcorn is included in the tickets..... We've been going to this location for years. It just keeps going downhill. Will be looking elsewhere from now on. Literally ran home to take a shower after this experience.

To accommodate "social distancing" they have adjusted their online ticket purchasing so that when you buy "a ticket" you actually get the seat between two empty seats on each side of you. This is a cool system, in theory. So I can't blame the theater for: 1.) When I was moving across the row to my seat a seated client said, "Are we in your seat?" which means they were NOT in their ticketed seats. 2.) Three movie goers came in after the movie started and sat down directly in front of me, which is not possible since seating is for every other row. They obviously were not in their ticketed seats. However the theater appears to be doing a good job with wearing masks and gloves, cleaning the bathrooms and trying to keep their clients at appropriate "social distances", I can't blame them for "non-compliant clients".
