First time coming here,, I was looking for a great date night out with my wife that was fun but affordable and this is the most unique place I found. It's a full bar and grill with tons of fun arcade games. The games are absolutely cheap to keep you there for hours. Food and drinks are medium priced. The people here were friendly as well as the guests. They have an area in the back if you're a smoker. My main complaint is that some of the games we played didn't work and we weren't able to get our quarters back. They're older games so they're harder to maintain read more

Environment: the environment was super chill. We were there on a Saturday night but it wasn't over crowded. I will admit, some (a lot) of the games were broken. But we had so much fun that it didn't even matter. The Jurassic park game was definitely the best 2 player game but I would stay away from the air hockey because it gives you, no joke, like 60 seconds to play. What ever happened to playing to a certain score?! I did however get obsessed with the big buck game. Much like Ron Swanson on parks and recreation. Don't expect Dave and Busters!! This is a fun little barcade to visit when you have nothing else to do in Akron. They change up their games occasionally and also have a nice selection of pinball games- both classic and new ones! They also have other games such as basketball shooting games, classic arcade games, skiball, ect. for all the folks that aren't enthused by pinball. The games are also reasonably priced! The drink selection is also fun! There's a variety of cocktails and also beers. The food is decent, I would say elevated bar food. I find it really cute that they have a whole menu full of different types of hot dogs. The best part? You can also order sushi at the bar which comes from the next door restaurant, sushi Katsu!! We did take out of nachos that were loaded with all sorts of delicious toppings. More than enough for two. We also ordered onion peels, but not enough room, so we will see if they are good the next day. For a simple restaurant and arcade it was really good. What I was most impressed with that I never had offered to me as I waited for our takeout (I was early) the waitress asked if I would like a coke or a water. Have frequented QU quite often.....Saturday probably last visit. Came in with two other couples.....excited to introduce them to the place.....we managed to get a table. Lots of food and drinks and games flowing. Was rudely told we had to give up our table as it was reserved.....no warning. Just out a "reserved" sign on it and said we had to go....in like 5 minutes. So took ourselves next door. We were actively eating, drinking and playing....not just sitting. And if that table was reserved why didn't someone mention it on the many many many trips to our table with food and drink. We would have kindly obliged. Instead we left feeling "kicked out" after spending a lot of money. Disappointing. read more

Everything here is amazing. The games are fun and nostalgic for this child of the 80s. Their pinball selection is excellent, almost as good as their beer list or their many gourmet hot dog options. They have other delicious food but you'd be a fool to pass up their hot dogs. The ONLY thing that I did not like was the pinball game pictured. I wanted to love it because I'm a Star Wars fan and a step dad so the Mandalorian has a special place in my heart. But the flippers were weird and only half worked. Their other Star Wars pinball is super fun. Even if you have to listen to Anakin say "now this is podracing" as you get a higher score. We will be going back often. I will never be back while Mandy the insanely rude bartender is there, if ever again. I cannot believe the audacity she had to actually raise her voice at me personally AND my group of friends who i brought there for the first time. PLEASE CONSIDER hiring a new bartender - one who is grateful to be working right now, someone who can handle a crowd, and someone who doesn't yell at other people, especially paying customers. Great barcade for a low-key and fun time. They have a large variety of games, a photo booth, and non-arcade games too (giant jenga, cards, etc.) Drinks here are very strong. We tried a variety of different food items and all were wonderful (brats, pretzel with cheese, jalapeno poppers, thai rolls). Bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. Service was a little slower than I would have liked but staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Really happy with Quarter Up. We recently held our monthly team building day there and they really couldn't have been more accommodating - especially since they don't normally open until 4. For us, they agreed to open early. We got there at 1:30 and they were friendly and ready to help us have a great time. Games were great (all no more than 50 cents). I didn't eat, but I'm told the food was great. Beers I had were priced better than most places in the area. Maybe they'd be willing to do it again. read more

Great selection of fun childhood food and everything from pinball to old arcade games. Most games are 25 or 50 cents to play. I had such a fun time and can't wait to go back. Awesome place. Will be back hopefully when the kitchen is open. I saw they have family hrs which is awesome if you have younger ones. They have a pretty good beer selection (although it would be better if they had racer5 IPA). They have all the classic stand up arcade machines and basketball and jenga and lots of other board games and console games at the tables. We had my sons b-day party here( during family time) and everyone loved it! The staff was friendly from the reservation to service. The appetizers we got were amazing!! I highly recommend the salsa and butternut squash hummus!! We had 18 kids ages 3-14 and everyone had a blast; even the adults. We where there from 12-4 and spent about $150 on games plus some on food. Very reasonable for a birthday party with that many people. read more

We had a great time at this place. Awesome yet inexpensive date night. If you are an "arcade kid" from the 80's or 90's you will be absolutely thrilled with Quarter Up. Large variety of pinball and "old school" video games. Food was average however the wings are excellent (lightly breaded and crispy). Our bar tender was very pleasant and attentive. I've gone here twice myself and both times it's been great. If you're just looking to have fun, there's so many games to choose from ranging from Pinball to Dig Dug to a Crane Machine. Their food is fantastic and you can pair it with one of the many drink choices they offer. They even have the older "vintage" drinks like Little Kings from before my existence. Another cool aspect is that all the cocktails' names are all video game themed. (Diddy Kong, Mega Man, etc.) It definitely won't be my last visit! read more

Came here with my friends and I will not be returning solely due to the bartender named Mandy. She was incredibly rude THE ENTIRE TIME!! I have never had anyone be this rude to me in my entire life, let alone in a customer service setting. My friend put in a food order and her reply was "oh for fucks sake". She denied my other friend a drink during last call (which she never even announced) then proceeded to make 2 drinks for people that came up right next to my friend when she was closing her tab. When Mandy was asked if she could substitute sprite in a drink earlier in the night, her reply was "I'm making the drink how it's written down, I have too much shit to do." She forgot to bring out some of our food (almost 2 hours after ordering) and when asked about it, yelled in my friend's face saying she didn't know where the food was, yet the food had just been sitting in the back. When I came to the bar to close my tab, she yelled in my face and threw her hands in the air yelling "NO MORE DRINKS"... we also asked her how we go about playing the games since it was our first time there and if we give her cash to make change for it. Her response was "uhm... the change machine?" We said "okay, where can we find one?" Her response was, "the machine behind you... where it says 'change machine'" in a nasty tone. This girl should consider a different job where she does not interact with other human beings. Her behavior was disgusting, and she was obviously going out of her way to be rude. Will not be returning, nor will I be recommending this place to anyone else. Consider hiring a new bartender please! read more

This is a rip off of 16 bit franchise arcade bar. They charge you to play every single game in the establishment (except the consoles with broken controllers). Additionally, many of the machines have slots that eat your quarters. My hot dog bun war charred. Do not go here. read more

This is the worst bar I've been to in a while. The drinks were gross and the games cost money where I've only been to free arcade bars. Also it's 40 degrees and they won't turn the heat lamp on. It's a waste of time really, the music wasn't even good. read more
