Although service was very nice, I came maybe at a busy time where it took awhile to get my food, however, I am grateful they provided very yummy bread while I waited. I was so hungry waiting I mostly filled up on bread. All in all, felt like restaurant prices with food court atmosphere. The restaurant has a very nice environment, great lighting, the servers were friendly, but the food was just not that good. We waited over 30 minutes, and the food was just not worth it. Was surprised at how bland all the entrees tasted, nearly flavorless if we didn't add parmesan, pepper flakes, salt and pepper. From the chicken fettuccini alfredo, which we only asked for fettuccine; the waitress took liberty to add chicken that was picked out by my kids (also charged extra). The risotto with chicken was mushy, as to be expected, and very bland. I barely touched it. The margherita pizza was mediocre, but my dining companion was hungry. Just very disappointing overall. Considering my experience and how many restaurants compete for business in the area, I'm shocked it's still around. Maybe I went on an off night. What a great cute restaurant this is! Loved it. We had seen in before while at south coast plaza, but for some reason we thought it was just a coffee place, so we decided to stop by to buy some coffee and realized they had more than that lol.. so we couldn't wait and came back the next day (yesterday 07/01) haha I ordered the seafood pasta (is not on their menu, but I saw it here on Yelp and showed them the picture haha) and that was absolutely delicious!!! My god, it was perfect. The best seafood pasta I've eaten. My bf ordered the salmon pasta, compared to mine that one looked sad jaja but it was also very good. I mean, If you are craving seafood, ordered the one I ordered cause you won't be disappointed. Oh and we started with carpaccio di carne, mouthwatering! Delicious. We will definitely be visiting Quattro caffe soon. We loved not only their food, but their customer service and ambience. I can't say enough great things about this place!!! It was my first time dining in last night, and it was an absolute blast. The service was impeccable to begin with, but the star of the night was the GM, Dominico. Talk about hospitality, it couldn't get better than that. He happened to be doing a cooking show for a birthday celebration while we were dining in, and his energy was incredible. It looked like so much fun, the whole restaurant couldn't help but notice and want to join in. Not only was he teaching and doing a live cooking show, but entertained further with his incredible singing in between. Like, are you kidding me?! What can this man not do?! You could tell the restaurant is full of regulars because he took the time to go around and greet guests by name, and even brought my sister and I tons of dishes to try, as it was our first time in. He and his staff really made sure to take care of us like we were family, and the food was impeccable as well- not to mention the fact that they were so accommodating of my allergies- ensuring I felt safe and welcomed throughout my entire dining experience. Also, they have a full bar with the sweetest bartender there to whip up incredible cocktails. The ambience was perfect, inside and outdoors. Honestly the best spot to host a private event or to take guests that you'd want to impress. Dominico, you are epic!!! True class and old school style. She's primarily the reason why we go back so often because she makes our experience so memorable, and is so attentive through and through. This is our favorite lunch spot when shopping at South Coast Plaza. It has a happy vibe. They even have live music! It's always full but the wait time to get a table is reasonable. Most dishes are yummy but not all so pay attention to your server when you ask questions about particular recommendations. We always get: Bread Basket, the Marco Polo salad, pasta plates, pizza and french fries. (Don't get the chicken parmigiana, too flat and dry, disguised with lots of tomato sauce.) Came here for Restaurant Week with two of my friends. We all loved it! For $30.11 we each got a first course, a main course, and a dessert. Totally a great deal. For the first course I ordered the Funghi con Parmigiano, which was a very generous portion of Shitake and Portabello mushrooms sauteed in a delicious white wine sauce and topped with shaved Parmesan Cheese. These were amazing! Main course, I went with the Fettuccine alla Pescatora. Very large sized portion of egg noodles, tomatoes, two shrimp and two perfectly cooked scallops, all mixed together in a super garlicky herb sauce. This dish was great, I absolutely loved everything about it. My friends both ordered the Pollo Marsala and they enjoyed it - the chicken was served with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The portion looked a little small to me. I was not even half way done with my pasta and they were both done with their food. But, they didn't complain about it. For dessert I decided on the Torta della Nonna, flourless chocolate cake. This was my least favorite out of everything, not sure why. I think the chocolate flavor wasn't as strong as I would have liked it to be. Aside from the great meal that we had, we had a fabulous waiter who did an excellent job, and I also had some great wine that I had never had at another restaurant before. Quattro Caffe is a gem at the Costa Mesa mall. The setting, the vibes, the food, the drinks, and the service were all excellent! Firstly, the restaurant is clean and the layout it beautiful. Dominico, the general manager, was sooo hospitable and attentive to everyone. I have never seen a GM so engaged and entertaining. Someone had a birthday so Dominico set up the side of the restaurant for a cooking class and had guests come up to cook with him. He was singing, cooking, and even served our food. Everyone was having such a great time. Not only was his singing amazing, but the food was superb! I especially loved the margherita pizza. They were very accommodating, offering vegan and gluten free options. We also had the seafood pasta and the chicken risotto which were delicious. I definitely want to come back sometime and try other things. The menu was huge! They also had an open bar which had many regulars that come to just work, eat, or drink and have a good time. 2 stars considering only the customer service, house bread, and outdoor patio during COVID 19 was very nice. The only concern about their Covid 19 measures: - Seeing in the main entrance staff removing face masks to talk - Allowing customers to drink in their front bar by keeping the face mask off by they are speaking with their company. Customers at this time will contaminate all the glasses that are hanging on top of the bar. *Suggestion: not allowing people to drink in the bar or remove the glasses from there to don't impact next customers using those glasses. The Food: We ordered on my table 1 risotto with chicken and 1 rigatoni al formaggi (4cheese) -Risotto was not a cooked well- texture was as a normal bowl of rice and a lot of garlic. - I ordered the 4 cheese rigatoni cause I just wanted a simple cheese pasta with no meat, pasta texture and cheese was fine BUT, for some reason, the staff put a lot of garlic on my plate also that honestly was disgusting and the cheese flavor was lost due to the taste of garlic and oil. Risotto and Rigatoni were very greasy, Maybe if I ordered a pizza it was a better option... But I will not be returning to this place. read more

I feel like I was transported to Italy thanks to BouBou, our server and the beautiful live music. We are from out of town and wandered in here on the way to shop. I must declare, this was impeccable service, high quality food ingredients and the service was on point. My daughter asked for pappardelle with meat sauce which pappardelle is not on the menu. I told my daughter to get penne. Our waitress, BouBou surprised my daughter with a handmade delicacy of pappardelle. The lasagna is perfectly sized if you split order, the Wise Guy salad big enough for 2 and the pasta dishes will be worth paying extra to split as the chef accounts for size and fills the plate. BouBou is the extra reason to come. She then surprised us with a super rich chocolate cake. I've never felt so much love from my heart to my belly. Her and I shared a giant hug at the end.
