$10 burrito. Let me say that again....$10 BURRITO. I never thought I'd see those prices again in the year 2025 but to my surprise, it was found in a gas station. There are no frills--it's just a counter you walk up to. The employees were friendly and the food came out quick. I ordered a carne asada super burrito. Hefty burrito and the ingredients reminded me of home style rice and beans. That said, don't expect a misison-style super burrito with avocado, cheese, pico and all that jazz...this is those simple ones that just add a lil bit of our cream and mayyyyybe cheese. Nothing particularly fancy about this super burrito. But hey, that's okay. It's $10 burrito. 5/5 overall, 4/5 based on flavor and lack of "super"ness. Out of all the Mexican food spots on W Texas, I'd choose this one again.

Decent tacos at an affordable price! To go only. I come here specifically for the QZ tacos which unlike traditional tacos these include cheese and sour cream. The cabeza here is my favorite meat option from their menu, it is flavorful and juicy. This place is tucked away inside the chevron gas station off of W Texas St. My go to spot if I'm running errands in the area and want a quick bite. The ladies working there are also very sweet.

El Veral is a quick stop for budget friendly Mexican food. I thought the taco and burrito were decent, and cost only $11. After ordering I got my food in less than five minutes. There's no seating so it's strictly a to-go spot. Located inside a Chevron, El Veral gets a steady stream of customers. Quick, decent food, and budget friendly Mexican food.

4.5 Stars Ok where do I start?! We had carne asada and chicken tacos. They were $1 each! These are really small street tacos folks...about the size of a small round donut. But worth that dollar for sure. The steak was tender, fresh, and really tasty. There was a tiny bit of salsa on the tacos so next time I'll ask for extra. Hubby liked the chicken but preferred the steak. The beans and rice had so much flavor! I love them with tortilla chips but you have to have your own since they don't provide any. Dinner (and leftovers) for 2 was $17.35! The lady taking orders was sweet and professional. The location is inside the Chevron gas station on the corner of W. Texas & Pennsylvania. There is no outward signage to indicate such but just park and go inside. You will see the large menu blackboard straight ahead once you enter the Chevron mini mart. Yes there are 1 or 2 homeless (looking) individuals outside but they won't bite. Enjoy! We'll be back for sure.

Al pastor and carne asada street tacos with everything. Stack em up if you're hungry. Two bites and she gone.

Alright gas station street tacos! These little dudes pack a punch of tender, flavorful meat, pastor and carne asada. We also tried a chicken supper burrito, pretty tasty. Our first takeout experience. Friendly staff and food was prepared quickly. Take note this is a gas station so parking spaces are limited. Definitely worth topping off the gas tank if no parking is available. We will be back.

I know, I know, it's hard to find a $1.00 taco in the Bay Area. But, it's all about the flavors, stupid. Now, don't get me wrong, I wanted to like this place. But alas the tacos here are not authentic. It's gringofied. For a dollar you get a taco with sparse portions of meat atop two store-bought tortillas that is then topped off with a Mexican cheese mix, sour cream, onions, cilantro, and salsa. I ended up ordering five tacos, three carne asada and two pastor. Honestly, I couldn't tell one from the other because the tacos were kind of flavorless. All I tasted was the Mexican cheese mix... I really wanted to taste some meaty grizzle and lard. Also, I was still hungry afterwards. Usually, after five tacos I feel stuffed like a burrito, or should I say burro gordo? I contemplated how the place had a five-star rating and realized that it either had to be the price or that a lot of the reviews were influenced by the lovely ladies that work here, especially the mujer hermosa with the right arm tattoos. At the end of the day, I care about the flavor more than the value. Anyone that follows me knows that this chino eats tacos almost every week. So, if this is allegedly the best taco joint in Fairfield as one reviewer commented, I won't be eating tacos in Fairfield. Three stars since the price was right and the tacos were neither good nor bad. * The taqueria is located inside the Chevron gas station, which used to be a Kwik Serv and before that a Spirit Gas Station. * Taqueria El Veral is the taco joint with many names. They appear to call themselves Fairfield Taqueria and/or Spirit Tacos. Their IG handle is ridiculously long.... "fairfield_taqueria_Spirittacos".

Quick service, great pricing, and good tasting food. Only thing is that parking get be tight since it is located inside of the gas station.

My go-to place for some bomb street tacos. The epitome of cheap eats for sure. For $1 you get a taco with meat of your choice, or add $.50 more and get it loaded with sour cream and cheese (which is what I always do). You can't just order one, you need at least a minimum of 5. They're small but mighty. The meat is flavorful and they're damn delicious. I usually stick with the carne asada, add the sour cream and cheese and ask for no onions; drizzle some lime on top and boom. Tasty af. Yes, it's located inside a gas station and parking can be a bit challenging if you're not pumping gas. But they're worth it. Aside from their bomb tacos, you can also get quesadillas, burritos, nachos and drinks. Good customer service and quick with the orders. There's also a small seating area inside as well. Check them out. Definitely recommend!

Steak, pork, chicken in that order. First I didn't know the chicken was chicken bc its the same color as the pork

I should've read the reviews first before I got out of the car. This restaurant IS in the gas station! Don't be like me walking around searching for it bc you will never find it until you give up and walk into the gas station. On to the food!! I ordered 1 chicken 1 steak and 1 pork regular tacos. It came with onions, cilantro, and sauce. Since I can't take heat I ordered my sauce mild. They all were really good but I must say the steak tasted the best out of them all.

    A taqueria with big heart:)

The super chicken burrito was DELICIOUS!! Shredded chicken cooked to delectable perfection, coupled with a magical mix of beans and rice. Really...many chicken burritos have past these lips...so when I say DELICIOUS I mean it !:) Superfriendly people and super burritos!

Carne asada and chicken tacos topped with cheese , sour cream, cilantro, and onions.

I love the fact that this tiny Mexican kitchen is located inside the Chevron gas station. They are locally famous for their yummy little $1.50 tacos but they have a lot more to offer such as burritos and nachos. I brought home a few carne asada and a couple chicken tacos. They were both good but I think I liked the chicken better. The guy taking orders was super nice and the food came out really quick. They are "to go" only and I think the name is different, on Instagram they are called Fairfield taqueria or spirit tacos.

Can't beat $1 carne asada tacos
