Cool place, good service, reasonable prices... and the sandwiches are pretty darn good. I got their turkey sandwich with avocado added and it was really satisfying. The only downside is the parking is challenging.

The service was very welcoming. It was the first time my husband and I had been here, and we were having a little bit of choice overload. The person behind the cash register was very kind and allowed us to change our mind not once but twice. They joked around with us and even gave us some suggestions on what to order. The nice piece about this is that there is seating both inside and outside. For ourselves we chose to sit outside, which actually turned out to be really nice even though most of the two top tables were taken. You're able to have a conversation with the person in front of you no problem. The food itself I would say the star of the show for us was definitely the Greek chopped salad. It was extremely fresh. The kalamata olives really brought the salad to life with the feta cheese. One tip that I would recommend, is for my turkey sandwich I got the side of the pasta salad. I took that pasta salad and put it into the chopped Greek salad and it was amazing. Now for the other two items. The turkey sandwich was nice. It definitely had nice thick pieces of Turkey, the bread was made fresh, and, the Panini press really gave it that nice chart. For me I would have liked a bit more of the herb spread because you could really taste the fresh herbs. The grilled cheese definitely used high quality cheese. It would have paired really nicely with a bowl of soup to help bring out the cheese flavor a bit more. Overall, a lovely place and I do want to try other things on the menu.

Iced vanilla latte, black ice tea, Thai milk tea

Stopped here for a quick pick me up drink with my siblings and we all enjoyed our beverages! I got a standard iced tea but my brother and his girlfriend ordered the Thai milk tea and vanilla oat milk latte! Service was quick and the ambiance seems nice for working and hanging out! We didn't stay to sit because we got excited about checking out the neighboring bookstore!

This was a great place to grab coffee and sandwich. We tried the spicy egg sandwich and BLT sandwich. Both were pretty good and flavorful. The coffee was great as well. Everything tasted fresh and the service was also quick. They had plenty of seating and free WiFi for people to work while enjoying coffee and food. The only negative part was that they give Togo cups and no plates for sandwich for dine in as well.

Honey matcha and caramel cinnamon latte

Tasty honey matcha and very kind staff. The ambiance kinda seemed like a neighborhood game night vibe. We didn't hang out too long because we had our dogs and you can't bring them inside, but I liked the unique twists.

Fast friendly service and cute ambiance- soy latte was tasty!! I was able to walk here from our air bnb and every morning was great!

OMG this is my favorite little cafe ever. The barista guys are so nice and this is the best sandwhich I've ever had. I'm so obsessed with this place and I will dream of this sandwich every night now.

The experience exceeded my expectations, specifically for exceptional service! As we walked in the door, the hostess was super friendly. We sat at the large high-top table with the fire pit nearest to the hostess stand with a view of the water. Our server, Amber, consistently went above and beyond and carried herself with a bubbly and positive aura. She guided our selections of fries, fish tacos, salmon mousse, and tuna poke bites and frequently checked on us to make sure we were doing okay. Amber was also very professional and polite when she cleared plates and dropped off the drinks and food. Speaking of the food, every dish had great presentation. I wouldn't say the taste was out of the world but everything was still good and worth the price. The two hours we spent there flew by and by the time we decided to wrap up, all three of us were commenting on the great service (which led me to write this review). As a final gesture of hospitality by the restaurant, the hostess let my mom keep the bar purse hook that was given to her to hang her purse. I will definitely come back here the next time I'm in Seattle.

For an…read moreover $300 tab, our server checked on us approximately 3 times, the introduction, to take our drink/appetizer order, and to take our dinner order. Following the initial three visits, the last time we were visited was to ask if we wanted dessert, to which I asked for the check. The manager, Scott, filled in the gap of noticing when my partner was low on a beverage and checking to see if we liked our food. Taste is subjective, however, it was shocking to experience the lack of the most basic seasonings... salt. The most minuscule amount would have made a difference. I would have asked for some but again, there wasn't much of an opportunity. The steak which costed $79, seemed to lack a salted seared crust. The $16 dollar foraged and sautéed mushroom, might as well been foraged tossed in a frying pan to make them soggy without the slightest hint of salt, pepper, or even butter. The reviews seemed decent and the views looked beautiful but if you're looking to spend money on a nice evening, I would suggest looking elsewhere, as I would take okay service and great food over okay service and okay (expensive) food.

I noticed the salmon on the menu and decided to give it a try since I was looking for something a little lighter. I am so glad I did. Without exaggeration, it was the best salmon I've ever had. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the sauce and accompanying ingredients brought everything together beautifully. Every bite was outstanding. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was fantastic, the service was friendly and attentive, and the bar offered a great selection of cocktails and spirits. If you're visiting Seattle or looking for a great dining experience, I would absolutely recommend Shaker + Spear. The salmon alone is worth coming back for.

It's nice to watch the staff cook because it tells you that the food is fresh. I have high expectations for seafood in Seattle. However, I was disappointed with the scallops as it tasted raw and cool to the touch in the center. I'm not a scallop expert but this one missed the mark - the flavors were off with the sauce (tasted earthy). Presentation and color looked good, but this didn't taste good. Also came here breakfast several times. I don't have pictures, but each time the breakfast was amazing!

All the…read moreoutdoor tables were full when we arrived at 6, so we put our name on the list for inside and waited about 30 minutes. The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

We started with fresh oysters, which were beautifully presented over ice with lemon and mignonette. They were incredibly fresh and delicious. We also tried the Dungeness crab roll, which was packed with sweet crab and served on a perfectly toasted bun. Everything tasted fresh, high quality, and thoughtfully prepared. We ended up trying 5 different kind of oysters all sourced locally and they're all just spectacular! Creamy, umami and oh so fresh! Hammersly, Eld Inlet and Cliff point among others. BTW their roasted oysters are also really good - larger size, fresh and juicy not overcooked. Pro tip: The best part is during happy hour from 3-6pm (and also maybe during lunch hours?) they're only $2 each which is a steal! Other than the oysters we also had the smoked black cod which is out of this world and a MUST GET in my book. The seafood assortment called the Pearl Platter if I remember correctly - it is a good way to sample a little bit of everything. It has the smoked black cod, snow crabs, scallops aguachile, shrimps, and oysters. Service is always prompt and friendly. They have cozy indoor seating as well as a patio seating with nice view of the waterfront area. My favorite drink here is the dillenger which is smooth and balanced with a hint of dills. Can get busy at times so book ahead if possible. Located in the quieter section between Pike Place Market and Belltown. Highly recommended. 15 minutes walking from Pioneer Square area.
