No customers in restaurant. The cook asked if it was ok to put the orka and the frys with the fish. I am pregnant so I said no. (I dont like okra and the steam will make things soggy) it was already in the box with the fish on top of the frys and okra. He made a fresh batch of okra in a separate container. (Not fish). The side salad was $6 for chopped iceberg lettuce with a few tomatoes, some cheese and a ranch packet. My husband's jambalaya was soup in a styrofoam lid container.. and they forgot my coleslaw. So I called a man answered. (The owner). I tried to explain the situation to him and he was very rude. He interrupted me before I could even finish what the issue was with the food, to tell me he was not going to give us a refund. "That we ordered a to-go order and that's what fast food is." We paid $50. Just like any other sit down, paying customer would for their food, only to get poor quality food, very poor customer service and a very RUDE owner. The owner told us to bring all the food back. We arrived at the restaurant after closing time 9pm. The owner said "if the food looks good to me, i'm not going to give you a refund." Mind you me and my husband had maybe 4 bites of the food on each entree to try it as we have NEVER been to the restaurant before. He said "It looks good to me. What do you want? Do you want money?" I said no. I'd like better customer service but since you offered that would be very nice of you. The owner gave me $20 from his wallet and then tried to take all of the food that we purchased. I told him if he wanted to keep ALL the food then he can give me a full refund... he refused. I had to ask him to stop yelling at me 2 times while in the restaurant, that I am pregnant and food should NEVER be this stressful. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!

It reminded me of cafeteria spaghetti, but not the bad kind you groan about when you see it on the menu, the kind that has you running to the cafeteria to beat everyone else. The spicy cabbage is just that, SPICY. I was only able to eat a few bites, but even under all that spice the flavor was excellent. The catfish strips were hot and tender. They even threw in an extra or two. Now the server, he was amazing. He greeted us promptly and went above and beyond. I have not had such a positive experience with a server at any restaurant I've been to in a long time. I didn't catch his name, but he was brilliant. The restaurant was clean, food was fresh, and plenty of seating. I'm very excited to visit here again!

They no longer had the fried green tomatoes, so I tried the fried ochra instead which was mediocre. The red beans and rice and green beans sides were bleh and unappetizing and the fish while fried nicely wasn't that good and I was hesitant about eating it, since they won't tell you what kind of Fish it is.
