If I could give 0, I would. First, got my eyebrows waxed and the waxer goes: "Your lip too?" Excuse me but I actually do not and never have had hair above my lip. Second, Ryan treated me as a nuisance when I specifically told them I cannot use tips he insisted it was better since I opted this time to use builder gel and tips have ruined the strength of my nails. I also walked in with gel polish on and they charged to take it off. When he was initially done the application where I also asked for length, the nails looked the same if not worse before I came in and filed in the shape of duck nails, when my nails were nowhere near that shape to begin with. He insisted that there was length and that was the natural shape of my nails...I should have taken pics during the process but I was so sure I could trust the process. There was no prep to the nails after rinsing my hands with water, just straight to colored polish without a base or even the dehydration. When I asked to make sure the polish wouldn't chip or peel I got told "if you know so much about nails then why don't you go and do them yourself?" Probably because I'm not trying to give myself contact dermatitis and because I'm paying for a service. After just a basic color with no design, I had to pay $85 for nails that are cooked, not shaped all the same, clumpy and for bitchy ass attitude. I wanted a UV gel extensions fill. But somewhere between check in and assignment to manicurist that got lost. I was hoping to try cat eye gel design. But again the manicurist wasn't familiar. Ironically while my friend was getting her nails done after I finished I found the sample cat eye gels. There were two younger manicurists (one male and one female) who were doing intricate designs and patterns that I suggest a patron request if you want instagram/Pinterest nails. I wanted my gel nails and toenail polish removed to give them some time off. She didn't remove the gel off my nails. She didn't soak it off. She used dremel tool which just damages your nail bed. The younger employees soak your nails in acetone before they gently remove the gel lacquer. They should teach the old employees what to do. I won't go back unless I get an appointment with someone who knows what they're doing. AND they charged me $55 to remove my gel mani and a no polish pedi. Total ripoff. read more

I rarely leave reviews but after today I need to address my concerns. Maybe the business will read it and it will help support their clientele better. Today I went to the salon and there was a long wait. I put my name in the sign in sheet and asked the nail technician how long the wait time was. Usually when I walk into any nail salon someone acknowledges your presence asks for your service and gives you a timeframe. But at this place If there is a long wait they essentially avoid eye contact and ignore you. I wanted to just get an understanding of the wait time and was happy to wait. I went out of my way to get that information and asked the gentleman. It was clear it would be awhile and asked if it would be ok if I ran an errand and be back in an hour. They nodded. I didn't think this would be an issue since a month ago I waited an hour for service and was called to a station. When I sat down they said they made a mistake and that another lady was actually next. I was confused because I was there for an hour and had not seen this woman and she explained that she had checked in an hour ago and had just been at family dollar next door. I understood. So naturally today when I did the same thing I didn't think it was a problem. But when I came back after the errand this gentleman told me if I leave I lose my spot. I explained the instance that happened to me a month before and that I made him aware before I left . He said they would never allow what happened to me a month before happen even though it did. I recently moved to Philly and not a lot of places in Philly do the uv hard gel, so I was happy when I finally found this spot that had a good rating. First impression was that this place was clean. The lady that greeted me gave me several books to look through for color selections and then had me seated with an older lady who would be doing my nails. I told her I was getting a refill for the UV hard gel, coffin shape, and showed her which of my nails were starting to lift. I honestly was annoyed instantly cause she nicked me a few times with the drill and seemed to be rushing (I was literally the only customer there). Then she added too much gel on my nails making it thick and sloppy looking. I even told her that I don't like thick nails and she proceeded to tell me that refills are done that way, mind you I've been getting this gel for over 3 years and my usual nail tech never used as much as she did. I had to ask her several times to file down the gel cause it was too thick and uneven on certain nails. I had to ask her to correct the shape multiple times cause some were uneven or shaped incorrect. To make it worse one of my nails were crooked. If I wasn't on a time frame I would've had her redo the entire nail or asked if someone else could correct/finish my nails completely. The only thing I like about my nails was the color. My advice is to ask who does the best nails here and try booking with them to see if you get a different experience. I paid $55 for a refill and a gel top color, which is somewhat average pricing for Philly nail salons if you're not getting any designs or extra stuff. I'm willing to try a different nail tech here who has consistent clientele to see if I get a better experience but I'm honestly skeptical cause my first time here was terrible. *FYI- It's cash only for tips if you decide to try this place but actually get a great experience unlike I did. read more

I want to start by saying this review is geared more towards management and the owner. This place just opened a few months before quarantine began and I loved it because it was quiet, clean, and the service was great every time. I rarely ever waited, even without an appointment, and was quickly in and out. Maybe it was my own fault for coming the first weekend they opened post quarantine, but it was a mess. Don't get me wrong - I loved the service and my nails, but this message is geared more towards management/the owners. If you are high risk, have children, or are around anyone high risk - STAY AWAY. I almost want to report this place due to extremely poor sanitation standards. Need I remind you - this pandemic is not over. I had no problem waiting 20 minutes my pass scheduled appointment, but a couple of things: - The first person you even see , the new receptionist, did now have a mask on. Even though the door clearly states a mask "MUST" be worn - I counted at least 5 customers without a mask. - They allow people to wait in the waiting area. Be smart. All other services I've got recently clearly state NO OTHER GUESTS ALLOWED AND WAIT IN YOUR CAR. I truly loved this place pre Covid, but if they don't even have the respect to call out people that are putting so many others in harm, I cannot continue to support this business and I will definitely tell all my neighbors, who I previously recommended this place to. read more

She worked fast but was very meticulous in shaping and painting. Everyone wore masks, everyone social distanced, and they had a self check in monitor but I didn't use it since the receptionist was right there. Music was relaxing R&B throwbacks (possibly the black receptionist's doing? Thanks girl lol). I'm so happy to have a new nail salon in my neighborhood. I had a pedicure and tried powder dip for the first time. Everyone was friendly and my nails look great. Large selection of colors for powder. The space is huge- 16 stations and almost a dozen massage chairs for pedicures. It's very clean. The grand opening has perks with discounts, wine and snacks. I made an appointment for an hour massage the next day in the private room. This was a no frills but excellent quality massage. Amy really worked on my kinks and knots and the hot stones were perfect. I've paid twice as much for a massage half as good in the past. This will be my new regular spot. She however doesn't do waxing so when my nails were done I let her know my appointment was for eyebrows too and there was no one to do them. 3 people walked in without appointments while I was getting my nails done yet I couldn't get my eyebrows done with an appointment. When she tried to ask her co worker to do them for me the co worker said to ask another girl, who said to ask another girl. I was standing in the middle of this awkward "you do it, no you do it" argument that there was no way I was letting them near me with hot wax. I said just forget it and the tv addicted man got up to charge me, didn't say thank you, didn't say a word actually and as I was getting cash to ask for change for a receipt he walked away from me.
