We have been into this place a handful of times since it opened on The Alameda almost a year ago. The staff, most of the time it's the owner...is super friendly, lets you browse and ask questions, answering whatever they can. They always have fun things in the window, we love to press our noses up against it when we walk by to marvel at whatever cool antique thingamabob is setup inside the glass staging area. When they were cleaning this place up and moving in, we would walk by at night sometimes and see them hard at work inside, their little cute dog running around wildly. I have always wanted to purchase something from them and today I KINDA had the opportunity. It's my Mom's birthday and she told me what she wanted, because that's how she rolls...she'd much rather have something she wants than a random something that *I* think she should have. I wonder if that's where I got it from....birthday 'wish list' anyone? Yep, I always have one. This year's gift request from my beloved Mom is a buddha statue she found in the back of the Antique shop. I called and left a message for The Teak House yesterday, thinking the same # might work. So, technically it's the Teak House in the back, it used to be the whole shop but I guess SilverLeaf now is the first 3/4 of the store and Teak House is kinda only in the back small area now. After I heard nothing back, called today after being lucky enough to find SilverLeaf's # on Google and thinking they could help. Well, so turns out the Teak House gal is on vacation and Jim at SilverLeaf was kind enough to go into the back area to find the buddha for me. He not only gave me a better deal, but also rang up the purchase, wrapped it, and keep it at the front for the birthday girl to pick up this afternoon. I called up Mom and said 'Swing by to pick up your buddha!' Later, she told me that one of the little horns had broken off by the time she got home, not sure how this affects the luck-bringing of the buddha but we figure it's even more unique now. Why can't all birthday purchases be as pain-free as this one?? SilverLeaf comes through for us with some buddha love...check this place out next time you are moseying down The Alameda. I've been in…read morethis neighborhood for over 20 years, occasionally I will pop into the store because they do have a good selection of items for gifts. Some of their jewelry is interesting, using local artists, their baby selection of clothing, gift, glass selection, and home decor it is a pretty good mix and always a great place to grab a quick gift. Quite a few things are from Creative Co-op with a 30% to 60 % markup, but that's OK. Pacific Cinics needs to make money. The customer service is abysmal. You do not get greeted ever, even if you pass in front of them and interrupt their conversation to walk between them so you can get through to the the aisle. (I was the only customer they were talking amongst themselves.) After being in the store for approximately five minutes, I decided it was time to go. Didn't see anything I wanted. It's sad to have this level of customer service in our town. If you don't care to be greeted or acknowledged, but only watched to see if you might take something, then this is the place for you. If you're Caucasian, no problem at all you will be greeted and treated like a valued customer.

We parked about an 1/8 mile away a just walked to the store. Los Gatos parking is tough so relax, find a parking spot and walk around, you'll never know what you will find "just like this little gem of a place. :-)

During the pandemic, I thought the store had closed. I was so sad. Maybe they did close temporarily, I don't know. However, I was thrilled to learn they had re-opened their shop on Main St. just a few blocks away! Why didn't anyone tell me!!! I finally visited at their "new" location a few days after Christmas. Azuca has retained the same charm and whimsy that their original store did. It is beautifully merchandised which made me want to linger and look at everything! I was hoping to find some mezuzahs, which I had seen in their store before. Unfortunately, I did not see any. Maybe on my next visit?!!! I'll definitely be back!

The total was $18 for all three crystals which I think were pretty reasonable compared to online sellers. The cashier was very nice as well!
