I read the 1 star reviews before writing mine bc I was curious as to what the problem could be. MY personal experience was amazing. BOTH of the owners came to our table to personally ask us how we were doing. All of the food was amazing, and since my husband and I we were taking a break from our children so the child-free atmosphere was appreciated. The seating was super comfy, and the live music (Saturday) was a nice touch. This place does feel a bit like scottsdale, and I'm super appreciative that I didn't have to travel the hour away from my home to experience. I went for my birthday wanting to try out a new place. The restaurant is cute and I knew it was a small menu but was sad that I didn't really care for 2 of the 5 things we ordered. The bourbon sauce on the chicken I didn't care for and some of the bread in the bread basket had a funky taste to me. The steak kabob was good and the flourless cake was delicious. Liked I mentioned the set up is cute but for a Friday night it was fairly empty. I just recently saw they added sliders on the menu and thought that sounded like a good add to their menu. read more

Just want to give an update from my last review. It was never an issue of not liking this place or the food. Since my last review, we have had no issues getting in and being seated. This was our first time coming and our immediate impression was how nice the place looked and we loved the setup. We ordered the bourbon Chicken skewers among other tapas. When we started eating them we could automatically taste the strong flavor of bourbon. It felt like we were taking a shot of bourbon. I'm not one to send food back but we just didn't enjoy it and told our server that the bourbon was way too strong and she removed our plate of skewers. We enjoyed our other tapas but when we got the bill we were charged the skewers that we did not enjoy and did not finish. I told her that we didn't feel comfortable paying the full price of the skewers and I kindly asked for the manager who was sitting at the bar. I saw her relay the message and the manager smirked and smiled annoyingly. He didn't even come up to us and gave us the skewers for half off. Our server Cheryl was extremely nice and we understood that she couldn't do much. The way this was handled by the manager was extremely frustrating, disappointing, and unprofessional. And then let you know after you agree to the wait that they don't allow car seats or strollers and ask if she can come out of the car seat. 5 starts because the decor looks great, little bar inside too. We have never been able to try it because they close at 8pm on the weekends and when we on a whim(parents of small children) get a chance to have a late dinner and want drinks we dont choose here anymore. Hours should be adjusted, especially since not very many places to go to that have this kind of atmosphere so when they close at 8pm on a Friday/ Saturday its disappointing. Hours are Tues-Sat 11am-8pm. Closed Sun and Mon. One day we hope to catch them while they are open but until then we go to Toast or Vouge. read more

Our party of four visited Quench for the first-time last night arriving at 5:30. during Happy hour. My experience with tapas is from a restaurant in Michigan where tapas are small portioned dishes served on a 5-inch plate. So, my wife and I ordered five selections to share. Baked caprese dip, Ricotta, pesto and tomato jam, blistered balsamic tomatoes with Burrata, steak with mushrooms and meatballs. We were totally blown away with how delicious every selection was. And every selection was served with delicious crusty bread. However, the Quench serving size is very generous compared to what we expected so we ended up with several to go boxes to take home. The good news we got to sample a variety of dishes. In our opinion, Quench serves the most delicious food of any west valley restaurant and we can't wait to return. read more

It is a cozy restaurant that is great for date night, meeting up with a friends, or just going to treat yourself to a good meal. Jeff is a hospitable host and Angie makes delicious dishes with beautiful presentations. The servers are friendly and attentive, the drinks are good, and the deserts are tasty. The welcome gets an F, the first thing you notice when you walk in is a sign that tells you they do not want groups of more than 4 people. Of course, we were 5. It was 5:30 during happy hour and there were only two other tables of guests. But the man seating folks refused to help us in any way with our group of five. He would not allow us to take another chair and put at a table for four. We finally agreed to be seated next to each other in an out of way table with the most uncomfortable seating ever created. I am fairly short (5'2") and my chin literally was barely touching the table. After about 40 minutes our server brought over two pillows for my friend (also short) and I to set on. It still was not comfortable, but we made do. The man seating folks could clearly benefit by some customer service training skills. It's our second time here and we love it! The meat and cheese board is AMAZING! It's the absolute best board we've had in Surprise! The board is freshly prepared with tons of yummy selections - it's a must try. We also had the baked goat cheese as recommended by our server (I honestly can't remember her name but she was hospitable, knowledgeable, kind, and attentive) and it was yummy! The owners were present and took the time to talk to us which was a special touch. The ladies restroom even has complementary hygiene items including tampons, panty liners, dental picks, and mouthwash... they seriously thought of everything!
