Came across this spot due to the resy/amex benefit. Tried to call in my take out order but it went to voicemail. Fortunately, the online ordering system was straightforward. My husband got the BV burger, which he said was almost burnt; it did come with a lot of fries. I got the shrimp scampi, which had large shrimp and was a bit too creamy. We just moved into the community and we have been very impressed with Bella Vista. We've eaten here several times and the food has been fresh, tasty and nice portion sizes. The chef's weekly choices have been solid - flatbreads are great as are the salads. Chicken piccata was excellent. Staff does a great job - super pleasant and really moving! read more

First time visit on a Thursday happy hour. Sat at the beautiful outside bar with good service by bartender Dylan. Good array of tap beer and wines. I had the petite berry salad with salmon and it was delicious and fresh. My husband enjoyed the Italian meat flatbread of the day. He said it was really good and he could not finish it all. They had live music (country) which was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of televisions. The views of the fountain/golf course/grounds/mountains were stunning. Gated community. Made an advance reservation on Resy. It asks if there are any special requests. I requested a table by the window for 3. When we got there they there were none....they don't reserve tables! We asked to be seated on the patio. The table was so dusty that we wiped it with our napkin. The food was not even mediocre. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl. It had 4 thin slices of chicken, 2 pieces of pineapple and 4 small pieces of red pepper. Since there was very little sauce the entire dish was dry. My friends salad was also tasteless. I have tried this place several times and it always disappoints. I am not a big eater but I always find the portions small or lack ingredients for the price, food is inconsistent , The menu is limited and lackluster. All these issues have been the same since they reopened about 3 years ago and nothing changes. Either the manager doesn't read the reviews or doesn't care. This is too bad because the venue is beautiful and staff is friendly. read more

My husband and I both had a French prime beef sandwich. It was very good very large and we ended up taking half of each of the sandwiches home. The waitress was good. She was working very hard. The place was very busy very loud and noisy. We had reservations at 5:15 PM. We are glad we went when we did because there was a large table that was right next to us had 10 people at it and it appeared that they were waiting a very, very long time for their food for any service at all as a matter of fact. They have a very nice view out the windows. It is a very handsome place to visit although the noise really had a drawback on that. Would we all go back there? I think probably not. read more

Recently had lunch with a group of friends at Bella Vista. Upon arrival, we were impressed with the aesthetics of the restaurant. A beautiful dining room with a large patio that gave us access to the gorgeous desert backdrop. Our hostess was courteous as we selected a nice table. Our server greeting us quickly. She was an informative and attentive server. We felt our experience was well on the way to 5 stars....until our food arrived. The daily soup of Chicken Gnocchi looked good. It proved to be flavorful, but 3 of the 4 soups had no chicken or gnocchi. The club sandwiches were a nice potion, but proved to be a bit dry as only a drop of mayo was used. Asked for 2 additional sides of the aoili, but was given the chipotle mayo. One guest ordered tacos and asked specifically if the taco shells were soft or crunchy. Was told were crunchy, but were soft corn tortillas. Our water refills also proved to be a bit off. We all noticed it had not the "clean" taste of the original water. Tasted more like lake water. Two of the other sandwiches were not satisfactory . One was regarding bread selection and the other dry because of an inadequate amount of condiments. Our server did a great job addressing our issues and offered corrections. At the risk of sounding overly critical, wanted to share the highs and lows of a first visit. Seemingly simple and small issues, but certainly affected our opinion of the kitchen. read more

Very high quality food. The chef is highly skilled. Great service. If I wanted to take a very particular foodie out, this would be the place. It's right on the golf course and there's nice views. We've given this place numerous chances to produce decent meals and been disappointed almost every time. Yesterday was the final straw. A small plate of nachos with chicken that cost $21 but wouldn't have been good at half that price. Chips burnt, cheese evaporated along with it. Six little cubes of chicken for that $6 addition. My lovely guy and I went to Bella Vista for an impromptu lunch . Our friends had said the food was really good . They were not wrong. My grilled watermelon salad , with blue cheese crumbles , spinach , mixed greens, sliced strawberries , blueberries and watermelon chunks in a light champagne dressing was just perfect . Loved it . Every time I go back to eat here, I give it a fresh chance. And yet it continues to disappoint. I just had one of the worst Cobb salads that I have ever had. Limp lettuce, bland chicken, the avocado was actually avocado paste. Disappointed once again...You're better off eating at the golf club next door. Attended a concert in the community over the weekend. We planned to eat at Bella Vista prior to the show. After two hours of waiting we decided they were not interested in providing any customer service so we left. It's commonly known that the residents of Corte Bella are not happy with the management company running the restaurant. The residents are covering the $500,000 plus loss over the past year. What good is a restaurant if they don't serve food within 2 HOURS? Hope they fire Kemper and get someone who knows how to run a restaurant. The current manager is HORRIBLE. read more
