I immediately grabbed a friend and requested a dinner date for the item that caught my eye: the Bratwurst mit Kraut -- bratwurst cooked with apples and sauerkraut, served on a pretzel bun and topped with even more kraut, with a side of German potato salad ($12). But I'll admit... I was also eyeing their Obatzda Burger with Oktoberfest beer cheese. Feeling bold, I asked our waitress if I could order their regular Pretzel Braid appetizer ($9) but swap the usual cheez-wiz and spicy mustard for that dreamy Oktoberfest beer cheese instead. She paused, smiled, wrote it down, and said, "that sounds really good!" Bless the chef for making my pretzel + beer cheese fantasy come true. The pretzel braid was warm, soft, and perfectly salty, and that beer cheese was the real MVP -- smooth, melty, not too hot, and with a proper beer-cheese finish. When the bratwurst plate arrived, it was a showstopper. Juicy brat, tangy kraut piled high, and tucked inside a pretzel roll that was soft but sturdy enough to hold it all together. No mustard needed! The German potato salad surprised me, though -- I'm used to the warm version, so finding it chilled caught me off guard. But honestly? It worked. Perfectly seasoned, just wet enough to be salad without drifting into soupy territory. I demolished both. Dessert was impossible to skip after hearing our waitress describe it to another table. We shared both the Apple Caramel Crumb Cake and the Lemon Blueberry Mascarpone Cake. I'm surprised they chose to move to this location. The parking lot is tiny and weird shaped. There's not a lot of seating inside... Wheat toast was what you would expect for toast. The hash browns were a bit over browned for my taste, but having eaten in this area in the past I know it to be the local preference, so can't hold it against them.

We weren't thrilled with our lasagna specials but there certainly wasn't anything wrong with them -- we might just trying something else next time as almost all of the food here is usually great. As an aside, the blue cheese dressing at WBD is some of the best I've ever had with a delicious flavor and chunky texture. Ten different hot dog creations, a couple fry options, and some mac-and-cheese bowls with loads of toppings to mix and match. Hot dogs ranged from $5.50-$11 depending on how dressed up you want them. For a ¼-lb all-beef dog, I thought the prices were more than fair. The Choice: I debated between the Chili Dog, the Pretzel Pub Dog, or the New Yorker. Feeling bold, I went for the New Yorker: a boiled hot dog topped with sweet onion sauce and brown mustard. $8 for the dog, $2 for a Diet Coke, and just a few minutes later I was walking away with a takeout box of mystery deliciousness. The Reveal: I found a quiet spot, opened the box, and--boom--pure messy bliss. A giant dog absolutely smothered in red sweet onion sauce and zigzags of mustard. Before I destroyed myself (and my clothes), I brought it back to the truck and asked if they could cut it in half. Pro tip: ask them to cut it in half up front--you'll thank me later. They happily obliged. The Taste: Perfection. The hot dog itself was cooked just right. The sweet onion sauce was tangy and sweet without being overpowering, and the mustard brought the perfect zip. Even cut in half, it was still a glorious mess--sauce and mustard dripping from fingers and mouth. I didn't care. It was HEAVENLY. The Verdict: Easily big enough to share, but let's be honest--I devoured the whole thing myself and felt zero regret.
