The breakfast "Carlisle Feast" is fantastic and recommend if you are hungry and are ready to leave stuff. Once you arrive the host seats you with a smile and ask if you want water, after the server comes over to take your order and ask what would you want to drink. All this with a smile and professional demeanor. It looks like a comfy diner with enough seating to accommodate your needs. I recommend you stop-in for breakfast you will not be disappointed.

Frequented this diner many times over the years in it's various incarnations - hadn't been by for a number of years, but found myself in town while waiting for an EARLY appointment - remembered the diner. Was seated quickly - typical no-nonsense 'let's get down to business' service. Food came quickly...ordered breakfast (ham & eggs). Food was decent as was the portion size. Ambience was '20th Century Diner' - which is fine for me. If you want food and no frills, this is your place....if you want an exquisite culinary experience...it isn't. I'm sure I'll check it out again...

Was in town for business. I wanted some breakfast comfort food. Like any good diner, sit, order, eat, pay, leave. Food was ok, just basic. No homerun for sure. Good prices. Went there 2 different times.

This is a typical diner with a large menu covering everything from breakfast to dinner and in between. They have a parking lot but it's an easy walk from Dickinson College. They have Pepsi products. I had a BLT while sitting at the counter. Everyone was friendly and it was clean. I'd go back again.

Nothing special stands out, food typical diner fare. Wait staff friendly and attentive. Has a dingy, claustrophobic atmosphere.

Total came to approximately $16 (not including tip). What's hot - Menu. Very good variety. There's sandwiches, pastas, salads, gyros, omelets, even scrapple. I really like they serve breakfast all day. There appears to be something for everyone, including vegetarians and vegans. - Quality. I appreciate that the food was not salty. You can tell they use frozen corn and heated it up, but the broccoli appeared and tasted fresh. - Service. I ordered takeaway and was told it would be ready for pick up when I arrived. When I asked how long that would take, the staffer responded about 15 minutes. That was the amount of time it took for me to get there. Sure enough, my order was already packaged and ready for pick up. They appear to cater to the traveling community and those who need their orders in a short amount of time. - Portions. Good value for money. Really good size portions. Definitely enough to get me full and to share with my husband. - Location. Easy to find and there's a decent size parking lot, which is helpful for larger vehicles, which I saw plenty of when I arrived. There's a decent size seating area, as well, with tables big enough to sit for parties larger than 4. What's not - Quality. It's not the most flavorful and delicious, but it's decent and reliable. - Location. Somewhat out of the way, because it's on the outskirts of Carlisle, but it's convenient for passersby. Final answer Willing to come back, but maybe not a first choice.

He scarfed down two of them and a good bit of an order of french fries. You can also get hotchee-burgers which I have yet to try. While I enjoy the toppings on the hotchees, that's a bit too much food for me on a day where we have an all evening outing at a far off baseball field. I will say, I love the fries here. Not only are they golden brown, hot, bite-sized,... they don't put too much salt on them!!! They taste amazing! I was trying to eat a little healthier so I ordered a house salad (i think - it's the one with kalamatas and feta) and it was great! The house greek dressing is wonderful, not too much not too little. Lettuce and tomatoes super fresh. I like the layout too--it feels accessible for all as I watched a wheelchair be pushed through. The middle of the afternoon is surprisingly peaceful and pleasant between lunch and dinner rushes. The big windows display the weather outside. It started raining not long after we got there and ceased before we left. Staff is helpful, kind, courteous and friendly, especially to each other. There are many desserts on display... But we were full! Multiple fruit pies and rice pudding. For those who don't know, the Hamilton began sponsoring our NYE events a few years ago. I'm extremely grateful for what they've invested into the community, though they were already a huge staple of our town. I don't venture out to this part of town and eat here enough, but as long as my son has a say, we're always going to come back here!

Walk inside and staff will immediately greet you and walk you to a seat inside what feels like an old school diner. To eat, I ordered their chili hot dog with cheese. It comes with two on buns and a side. The cole slaw was a gentle compliment to such a heavy meal. To drink, I ordered their cherry Coke. They make it themselves with Coca Cola and cherry syrup. One thing worth noting is that it's cash only. There's an ATM inside, but it didn't work for me. The staff were trusting enough to let me go to another one and come back to settle my bill.

Total came out to approximately $32 (not including tip). What's Hot - Menu. Good variety. The best part is they have breakfast all day. They have a section for seniors, kids, veggies, and possibly even a handful of vegan options (although it doesn't appear they have vegan cheese). They also have a small display of a good amount of desserts, like cakes and muffins. - Quality. Pretty good. My husband liked their blueberry pancakes, which were a good thickness. My Florentine omelette had a good amount of feta cheese and spinach. Hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft/tender on the inside. Their mozzarella sticks are pretty good, too! The texture is stretchy and gooey. Their marinara dipping sauce is seasoned well and tastes more than just tomato. - Service. On the evening we were there, we were the only customers, so service was pretty good. Their staff were pleasant and accommodating. - Price. Good value for money, especially given the portion sizes. - Location. Easy to spot from the road. There's also a decent size parking lot. - Layout. They have a good amount of booths and tables, which can probably seat between 4 to 8 people. What's Not - Quality. Hubby said his bacon was like wood. I thought it was crispy, which highlights the personal differences and preferences. I would've liked my omelette to be a bit more fluffy and thick, but it is a 3 egg omelette. It depends on your preferences. - Menu. It's a large menu and has a ton of options. Not the worse thing in the world, but it can take time to go through everything. Final Answer Worth returning and would recommend.

Anyway, the gals working - and they were all gals as far as we could see - were busting their butts to get folks seated, get their drinks, and get food out. Our food was great, ready pretty quickly despite the crowds, and our server (with the difficult-to-pronounce and perhaps even more difficult-to-remember-how-to-spell name) was fabulous: quick, funny, observant, pleasant, everything you want in a server. We think her name was spelled Ahgnia. Our small group of four came hungry but left satisfied. Thanks!

My sadly discontinued faves were the chicken salad salad - a large green salad with a scoop of chicken salad and a hunk of blueberry muffin, and grilled (or was it broiled? haddock. I lie the grits at most CBs but they tend to be watery in Carlisle. The house salad, an up-graded side, is huge, crisp, and delicious, highly recommend. And please ditch the horrible overcooked green beans!
