Well well if u want dog food for lunch help your self .I would not even feed my dog this food . I ask for NO. ONIONS 2 times guess their Was ONIONS and then their was a hair in my fruit salad. The cumber salad was blend. The only thing was was good was the drinks that was sealed. So I would keep your dog and yourself out of here o.ly if you want to buy pig slop. read more

I ordered a top sirloin roast a few months back and freezed it. Thawed it out this weekend. NO FAT cap at all, it was NOT a top sirloin roast at all. I got ripped off. It was either a rump roast or bottom round roast. No flavor. $35 down the drain. Shame on you, Wenger Meats. My advice, would be to stay far away. read more

Heard about Wenger Meats from family friends and hired them to cater for our wedding. Wenger allowed us to taste the menu options before the wedding, and maintained excellent contact before and during the wedding. We ordered chicken marsala, sweet potato casserole, veggie blend, and drinks, and were very pleased with the taste and quality. I ordered half a hog. It came with a huge pan of scrapple that my family happily devoured. Wenger is also great for lunch. Their hot sausage sandwich is really good. And they have a decent deli and meat case, including the best bacon money can buy. You should definitely try this place out. read more

This rating is based on service not products. I know it's been difficult to find employees over the past few years, but they can destroy your business when they have no concept of customer service. I have been shopping here for almost 20 years, but I will never patronize this business again. In my world as a paying customer, I expect to be treated as such with no attitude and to be able to have choices of what I buy. I went here because they were advertising a product at a sale price, but only if you bought a certain amount. Fine. Not crazy about this tactic, but I was willing to purchase the amount or more specified. In the case, there was exactly 2 choices of the product that was advertised on sale. One was under the amount needed to get the sale price and the other was wayyyy over. When I asked about what they had in the back and I know they did because, hey, they're a butcher shop, I got an attitude from the woman waiting on me. She had to check in the back and made it clear it was a problem. Then, this man, who I assume is the butcher, comes out and proceeds to, basically, tell me in a condescending manner that he can't control this or that. In the end, instead of going in the back and doing your job and satisfying your customer, you argued with her. I left the store buying nothing although I had put other items at the register. Here's some friendly advice to the owners - get your employees some customer service training and tell the a----hole in the back to stay in the back. He should never be dealing with customers and I can say with 100% confidence that I'm not the first one to resolve never to shop at Wenger's again because of an unpleasant encounter with him. You guys have been great for 20 years, but I have other options where to spend my money. Where I am treated the way a customer should be treated. read more

On the hunt for something to grill for the folks coming into town this weekend got us to Wengers. Not a huge selection but the case was being prepped for the weekend. Told us to come back. Fresh cut steaks and chops. Lots of homemade/hand jarred salsa and jams. You can get a sandwich or hot dog or wings for lunch. Drinks, candy and sweets. A few tables and chairs to park yourself. They also had a hot dog stuffed with cheese and wrapped with bacon. Yes, you heard me right. Mike asked if they came with a side of Lipitor. We did land some homemade deviled eggs and some awesome potato salad. Worth the trip. read more

use to be good but the last few times they mixed different cuts when we clearly ordered one specific cut. maybe they thought we couldn't tell? the last order of meat tasted like a dirty rag...it was clearly not fresh. avoid this place at all costs if you don't want to end up in the ER. read more

Went with my family on a whim as we like to support local a much as possible. There were a few friendly staff at the cold counter however went over to the hot side to order for my kids. The employee working back there was older and seemed to be miserable. Would not acknowledge my wife when she started to order and barely spoke a word to us. Seemed to hate working there. The food was alright but not worth the price. 8 dollars for a sandwich with no sides or drink is ridiculous for this area. You can get better food and service at other local places. Have frequented Wenger's for almost 10 years now, and I have not one time had a bad experience. Their meat is fantastic. Their hot bar rotates a huge variety. Their grilled chicken cheesesteak sub is the best! Most recently they are treating everyone with freedom in their decisions regarding whether or not to wear a mask while also implementing necessary safety precautions such as plexiglass when consumer/employees can't maintain 6 feet. I will always appreciate a business that trusts their customers to do what's best by themselves while accommodating others that need it. read more

Im a Carlisle native so I have been coming here all my life. Best TUNA SALAD hands down! Also quality of meats are the best around. Hog maw is also great. From frozen meats to deli, freezer meals and cheeses its all good people!! Lunchtime you can tell people love the prepared food, and to go meals. Lets not forget the ladies behind the counter, they are all so nice and eager to help customers. I also like the yard sale in summer out back. Just a great addition to Carlisle for many years. Their grill food is great. Went today for the lunchtime hot food buffet. It's $7.99 a pound. I had stuffed cabbage, mac + cheese, sausage and peppers, and buffalo hot wings. Everything was delish, but if I knew the wings were going to be THAT good, I would have gotten more than 2! It had heat without the heat over taking the flavor. I would highly recommend this place for a quick, but tasty lunch! read more

Dropped a deer off the first day of hunting season and didnt get it back for almost a month and a half. Wife tried talking to them to figure out why it took so long and their meat guy became very disrespectful to her. He even went as far as to tell her to come in and do it for them all she was trying to do was figure out why it took so long. She did become hostile after he was so disrespectful to her. I know other butcher shops that you get your meat back in less then 2 weeks ill be using them from now on this place isnt worth the money for how long you have to wait and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. read more

Great little Deli/Meat place. Came here to get some salsa and ended up buying a few dishes of other things, Macaroni salad, some cheese, some ham. Everything was tasty and was decently priced. Not bad for a small shop in an our of the way spot. read more

Neat place. Just went for the first time and tried the ham and tuna salad. Both are great. Also got a cup of the seafood bisque in the refrigerator case. Lots of seafood in it but has a definite strange taste. Can't figure out quite what it is but almost tastes like chemicals. Everyone was very friendly. Didn't try the salad bar, it looked a little up impressive but we will definitely be back to try some of their deli sandwiches. Very reasonable prices!! Updated - Bigots. Don't go here. Best broccoli salad fresh veggies and nice chunks of cheese. Coleslaw is my favorite actually shredded long strands not food processed.

I never like to have my steers hauled to a butcher shop to be killed because in my opinion, they get tensed up and makes the meat tougher. A friend suggested Brad Wenger he said that's where he gets his cut, he said first Brad was a Christian and you would get you meat back. My friend was correct about Brad he has been cutting and wrapping my beef and anyone I take there for several years. Wenger Meats has done a excellent job I have no complaints. The personal that I have came in contact with there have always been polite and helpful. I would recommend Wenger meats for any number of services they offer. read more
