A HUGE selection of Latin food to choose from. Maybe five different varieties of rice/morro to…read morechoose from (though they were out of plain white rice, fifteen minute wait!) We came mid-afternoon, and while I did see some fresh food coming out, some of what was there was looking dry (the chicharrones, in particular.) The lunch special includes a choice of rice, a protein (I got two large honey-glazed ribs) and a vegetable (mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon mixed in for me.) I added a scoop of pinto beans on the rice. The meal was so large, the to-go box containing it wouldn't close. (They have plates for those eating in (which we did), the lady didn't ask us which we wanted.) The ribs were well-cooked and tasty; rice and beans were good, the cheese and bacon didn't help the mashed potatoes much. My wife had trouble getting what she wanted in the pernil department: there wasn't any nice crispy skin left, just either flabby or hard; and she had trouble getting the lady to pick the nice fatty pieces of meat she tried to point out. There was a good variety of desserts too, though the chocolate tres leches I picked didn't change my low opinion of tres leches in general. Counter service.

This place serves some of the most delicious Latin food around -- tender oxtail, flavorful yellow…read morerice, crispy pork, creamy macaroni salad, and perfectly seasoned mofongo. Everything tastes homemade, the portions are huge, and the prices are unbelievably low for the quality. Truly a hidden gem that deserves way more attention.

Quesitos are a typical Puerto Rican puff pastry and finding "good ones" were a real problem…read more.. When I arrived to florida quesitos were one of the main treats I was searching for, I visited several pastry places and had been heavily dissatisfied and disappointed. Until I was told about Pan Pan (Thank you Lauren) CALLING ALL PUERTO RICANS AND LATINOS, the most amazing quesitos are right here !!!! They don't keep many on their shelves, they bake a fresh batch every morning and afternoon, this ensures we (the consumers) get them the way they're supposed to be. Flaky, sweet, tarty, crunchy OOOOMMMGGG IT'S ALWAYS AMAZING. And lucky You if you get one nice and warm their cafe latte is done so right every time, not falling behind their breakfasts as well. Anyone not giving 4/5 stars is just a difficult customer. They do take their time making your food "MAKING" your food, not reheating food. What more can you ask for? if you're in a rush, call ahead, your food will still be waiting on you, hot and fresh. If you don't believe me, it's all your loss and it's totally okay cause it's more for me my colleagues and family if you want an average quesitos, coffee, or breakfasts go wherever. If you want amazing, go to PAN PAN. See ya there.

Very true to its Cuban roots! I always say that if the cooks preparing the food are Cuban, then you…read morecan absolutely call it a Cuban restaurant. The rice reminded me of the way my grandmother used to make it--simple, flavorful, and comforting. The masa de puerco was tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. The tostones were crispy, fresh, and absolutely delicious. This is exactly what you'd expect from a traditional Cuban restaurant: authentic flavors, generous portions, and food made with love. It brought back memories of home, and I'll definitely be back whenever I'm craving real Cuban food.

She directed me to another counter, literally 2 feet away. Try next person was having an ongoing conversation with person in the back. She also seemed bothered by my asking to pick up my order. Once you get past the lack of service, I ordered the shredded beef. For my Hispanic brothers and sisters, Ropa Vieja! . We also got the round beef (Picadillo) which was just as good. The amount of food you get for what you pay is a great value. While I ate my meal, I felt as if I was sitting at home with Grandma. It felt like a home cooked meal. If you don't care about the kind of service you get, but want good food (and a lot of it), give them a try!
