Quesitos are a typical Puerto Rican puff pastry and finding "good ones" were a real problem... When I arrived to florida quesitos were one of the main treats I was searching for, I visited several pastry places and had been heavily dissatisfied and disappointed. Until I was told about Pan Pan (Thank you Lauren) CALLING ALL PUERTO RICANS AND LATINOS, the most amazing quesitos are right here !!!! They don't keep many on their shelves, they bake a fresh batch every morning and afternoon, this ensures we (the consumers) get them the way they're supposed to be. Flaky, sweet, tarty, crunchy OOOOMMMGGG IT'S ALWAYS AMAZING. And lucky You if you get one nice and warm their cafe latte is done so right every time, not falling behind their breakfasts as well. Anyone not giving 4/5 stars is just a difficult customer. They do take their time making your food "MAKING" your food, not reheating food. What more can you ask for? if you're in a rush, call ahead, your food will still be waiting on you, hot and fresh. If you don't believe me, it's all your loss and it's totally okay cause it's more for me my colleagues and family if you want an average quesitos, coffee, or breakfasts go wherever. I used to come to get pan de bonos and other goodies years ago and stopped going because I didn't make it on time before closing or wasn't around the area. After many years, I decided to stop and see if I could get any goodies even if it was close to close time abd I got lucky! They were out of pan de bonos, but since I had been craving something sweet to go with my coffee after lunch, we got tiramisu and a palmier. Both were delicious and packed with flavor! The search for a well made Cuban sandwich for lunch today was real. There's a lot of places in my area imo that I feel are over hyped. So took a chance on Pan Pan Bakery and got lucky! It's is my kind of to go spot - low key undiscovered and underrated. The bread they use is that really thin toasty kind Cuban bread. Not the thick over doughy kind that feels too heavy! The ham and shredded roast pork is also good quality cut and meshed well. Add your pickles mustard and mayo and in your my kind of company. For my appetizer while I waited since I wasn't sure it would take long was their chicken empanada. Omg weakness! The filling was was so well made and gave that homemade kind of taste. The picante (hot-sauce) is salsa based w a hint of hotness with the shredded chicken mm! Hard not to reorder it again after eating it. The food took less than 10mins and made to order in the back. I found myself in Casselberry and decided to stop into the Pan Pan Bakery. It's a hole in the wall type place tucked into a strip mall. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly employee. Most of the reviews are focused on meal items and not sweet treats so I was curious as to what they have to offer. I found a good size assortment of baked goods and pastries to choose from. I decided to purchase my favorite cookies...chocolate dipped almond horns. ($2.50 each) Unfortunately..they were really stale tasting and a huge disappointment. I think that maybe I picked a "slow mover" and perhaps this is not a true reflection of the bakery. Colombian bakery close to my house...SCORE! Growing up in Miami with a Colombian bakery minutes from our house was heaven. For breakfast on the weekends my mom would pick up variety of goodies. I have picked up that tradition now having Pan Pan so close to me. Pan de bono and almojabana are delicious. They are soft and warm. The empanadas are a bit greasy and not as crispy and I like but still good. I never get aji with them though. Breads are fresh and yummy as well. One thing they don't have is arepa con queso (made with white corn). I have tasted the arepa de choclo, it was ok. This place is cash only. Hard not to stop by when I am next door at Fancy Fruits. Gave it 3 stars because some of my favs are not offered, empanadas are not the best I have had and they always ask me if I want my food warmed up. Why would I want it cold! First Time at Pan Pan Bakery this past weekend while driving home I drove by this place and have wanted to check it out for a long time. This is a tiny little hole in the whole bakery located in the corner of a plaza with Big Lots around the corner and next to a produce store. Visible from the street only if you are on 434 heading towards Longwood coming from Winter Springs. The best part about this place is that it makes all of it's items here fresh as you can smell it when you walk in and you can also see there huge ovens in the back. There is plenty to pick from here and they even have Ice cream witch I am sure even though it is not made here it looks good from Pin Apple to other tropical flavors. There bakery consist of breads and desserts also some Colombian candy and empanadas and papas rellenas (stuffed potatoes) just among a few things. Some of there desserts are great, I bought the flan and it was only $1.50 and it was delicious not sure if it is made there or it is shipped but it is just the way I like it..creamy.They also have a "Tres Leches" dessert witch is typical of Spanish people to eat this. There stuffed potatoes looked good but I went with two empanadas one meat and one chicken and they were pretty good they can even heat them up for you there if you want. Another neat thing about this place is they offer Spanish drinks and even have "Orchata" water a drink made from rice more typical in Mexico. The only down side to this place is they are closed on Sunday and close pretty early the rest of the week so get there with time and early to get the freshest stuff because once they run out of something that is it also there was only ONE lady taking orders and taking care of the money situation while the lines were not very long but you do have to wait a bit and when I got there there was a few people ordering and waiting on there food. Cool little Colombian Bakery, I will be coming back again to try there "Papas rellenas" and other items, There flan was so good I WILL DEFINITELY HAVE TO GET IT AGAIN. Waiting for work to be done on my truck, so I decided to walk to the closest eatery. Pan Pan popped up first, I liked what I saw, so I decided to give it a try. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and offered some suggestions for culturally ignorant chaps like myself. I ultimately decided on the vanilla flan since it is my favorite dessert. I also went with a piece of their chocolate fudge cake since I saw that others had recommended it. The flan was good. Not great. It just didn't have the melt in your mouth texture I love. Flavors were what saved it for me. The chocolate cake was also good, but extremely rich and not really as moist as I usually like. All in all a very pleasant experience and I would love to go back and try an empanada. Nice little cafe tucked away in a shopping strip mall. I would recommend it. read more

This is a little Colombian bakery right on the corner of 17-92 and 434. I have had a curiosity about Pan Pan's for a long time so the other day we finally went in. The first thing we noticed was how wonderful it smelled, sweet and doughy and yeasty. YUM! The woman behind the counter was very patient and helped us navigate all the unfamiliar breads and pastries lining their cases. We chose three items to try. First an almojabana - which is a cheese ball. When we made that selection she turned from the case and opted to take one fresh off the rack behind the counter, still warm from the oven. We had hardly closed the door on the car before I split it in two so we could taste it. The outside was crusty while the inside was light and soft and almost spongy in its consistency. The cheese flavor was prominent and very enjoyable. The second item we chose was a donut like pastry that had a layer of custard cream in the middle. Marty and I split that one for dessert tonight. It was also quite good. The custard was light and creamy and the pastry was pleasant. It had substance without being leaden with a good balance of yeastiness and airiness. Our third pick was a cheese and guava filled sweet bread. I had this treat for breakfast the next morning. I was surprised to discover that the cheese inside was a piece of mozzarella but it worked well with the guava. After stopping in at Fancy Fruit and Produce, I decided to swing into Pan Pan Bakery and see what they offered. The locale is a small, but quaint. Two of the four walls have bakery cases loaded with tons of goodies. There is a pretty big selection of breads, ranging from milk bread, butter bread and specialty breads. They all looked fresh and really good. They also have some savory items such as empanadas, yucca, stuffed potato and many more. And of course, a limited, but what looked like a good selection of pastries that included turnovers and the ever so yummy, the reason for me entering, my Achilles heel of sweets (one of them anyway) ... the quesito. Yup, they had quesitos and that made me very happy!! They were very good, and actually a little larger than what I typically know them to be. Talking with the lady behind the counter she did mention that the amount of pastries they make is limited. So for instance, there were only 2 quesitos. Those were the only 2 made for the day; and the same applies to the rest of the items, not a great quantity is made. So if there was something you really want, and might want a higher than normal quantity, you need to call ahead to place and order. She said she only needs a 30-minute heads up, but I am assuming that is specifically for the quesitos. We tried this place wanting a simple yet satisfying snack that was sure to please and we werent dissapointed. The empanadas were a bit greasy, but yummy none the less. They contained beef and potatoes and were really very good. My only wish would be that they were hot. Hubby and I each had three. They arent very big, so it truly would be a snack. We also tried some of the coconut bread. Mmmm...soft, sweet, and good. This was by far my most favorite item we ordered. We also ordered some of their sweets, the Flan and the cheesecake. The flan never made it into the bag :( there for I can't tell you anything about it. I was very dissapointed when I got home and realized that. I was really looking forward to it. I did check the receipt and wasnt charged, so the server must not have heard me when I ordered it. The cheesecake is something I wont order again. It tasted like it had been sitting in the cooler for sometime as it was dry and had a stale flavor. We spent about $13 dollars for 6 empanadas, 1 coconut roll, 1 cheesecake, and 2 cans of soda. They dont take credit, but they do have an ATM there for easy access to cash. The bakery is a small counter service shop with no place to sit and eat. They had a steady stream of customers on a Friday Afternoon, but it wasnt too busy. They also oan affer an assortmant of other breads and baked goods such as fruit and meat turnovers. All in all it was an ok place. I dont think we will be rushing back here anytime soon or going out of our way to get here either, but if we happen to be in the area, it would probably cross our mind to stop for something quick. read more

This is a good bakery with the exception that if you call around 6 they never answer the phone I'm guessing because they don't want to make food given it's close to closing time as explained by the person that answered the phone. They probably don't want to stay longer but That's bad for business. If you are open until 7pm then you should make food until 7pm. I might consider breakfast items and some desserts but anything else is definitely out of the question. read more
