I was a walk-in on a Saturday morning and I was ready to wait. I checked in and it said it might be a 30 minute wait but I was called in within 10 minutes... love that! Carol took care of my blood draw and she was awesome. I told her that people usually have a difficult time finding a good spot to poke but she got it on the first try. I appreciate how friendly she was, for asking how my morning was going, and for providing me with her name. Helped me feel at ease. read more

Pro tip: Make an appointment, and if you like showing up early - try not to be more than 5 minutes early. I usually get seen within 5 minutes of my appointment time consistently! Had to schedule blood panel and urine sample for pcp follow up. Had late morning appointment that I scheduled online. Waiting room was clean and neat. Check in at kiosk was straightforward and easy to complete. Waited 10 minutes and completed all necessary tests. Lonelle was my tech and he was extremely proficient and put me at ease. March 2026 is apparently their blow up month for service since they've introduced AI to the "fold". STILL waiting for lab test results for simple blood panel and it's been 7 days. Unusual but I hear this is precisely where they are right now, service slowing measurably; results coming in far later than promised. The tech did not have a butterfly needle for a pediatric blood draw, but assured me she could do it with a straight needle. After she inserted the needle, she could not get the vials to fill, which meant she was pulling them on and off to see how much blood was in them and moving the needle around in my small child's arm, causing significant discomfort and distress. An hour after we got home, I got a call from the technician who left a voicemail instructing me to call back, but no direct phone number. When I called the local listed number, there was absolutely no way to reach a human being, only recordings and automated services. Pressing "0" just repeats the menu. I finally resorted to going back to the office the next day, where I had to wait for a nurse to come call another patient because there are no human beings in the front office either, just self-service kiosks. When I finally did get to speak to a person, I found out that "something was wrong" with two of the vials, and I would need to bring my daughter back in for another blood draw. No thank you. I will never use this location again, and will opt for a company other than Quest whenever possible. read more

Not sure why so many terrible reviews. You just ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO make an appointment online. Don't try and call them (you will get super frustrated) and don't just drop in and see "how long" it will take. It's just not the right approach here. I will say the technology is awesome here, but I have noticed a lot of older people befuddled by the check in process (it's pretty high tech' ish) and I feel like someone should at least be out there helping people with the system or what to do if the system can't find you. We showed up without an appointment and was like everyone else who did the same, sitting there frustrated without any clue how long we would wait or the ability to leave and come back closer to my time so I left, but my husband stayed willing to stick it out. He ended up only waiting about 30 minutes (should have stayed -- ugh -- and would have had I known (but you won't which is annoying), but I made an appt for 2 days later. I showed up, checked in, sat down and within 5 minutes was called. The woman who took my blood was awesome and had me in and out in 5 minutes. Once you get past the appointment process, everything can be very smooth sailing. Drop in unannounced and be prepared to be frustrated and annoyed. read more

I called to check my bill and Jessica was really rude and awful, she had zero empathy and customer service, I requested talk to a supervisor and she put me on hold for 45 minutes and hangup on me. They misleading information about copay and they always tell you to do their job which is dealing with the insurance companies it seems like this is a mafia they covered their back and overcharge patients and immediately put you in collection. I've visited Quest Diagnostics twice, once last year and again this year. Unfortunately, both times I was stuck with Mr. Khang, and my experiences have been incredibly frustrating. During my most recent visit, I was there for three hours, sitting on the standby list at number one for nearly an hour before Mr. Khang finally called me to the back. He rudely told me that because I selected a urine test instead of a blood test, I would need to go back to the lobby and wait. He then showed me his screen, pointing out how busy they were, and insisted that he was only doing urine tests at the moment. He told me I would sit at number one again and "hopefully" be seen today no guarantee, though. After 15 more minutes of waiting, I noticed my name disappear from the screen entirely. Feeling extremely upset, I asked a kind worker for assistance. She was very sweet and apologized for the inconvenience, however the whole situation left me frustrated and disappointed. Mr. Khang's unprofessional behavior and poor customer service really stood out, and he certainly doesn't seem suited for a role in a customer-facing position. His attitude was dismissive and disrespectful, which made a stressful situation even worse. On the other hand, the lady who helped me was kind and understanding, which was a small relief in an otherwise unpleasant experience. read more

I arrived just a few minutes before the official 10 min - early check-in time... IMHO that probably made all the difference I think bc when I got out ~ 10 to 15 minutes later, the waiting room was full! The phlebotomist and her blood skills were amazing... numerous vials in no time at all, and I was good to go. The only downside was that this was the second time I had to do a urine sample - - probably bc like the first time, they didn't have the blood test available, so I'd have to do a URINE one. It ALMOST RUINED my pre-holiday weekend, but it worked out after all! And even though the online system didn't change my next appointment time as I had expected it to according to my entry, they accommodated me after I apologized why I was at a different time (& they worked a miracle with the kiosk machine letting me in past a room full of people). There is great comfort, knowing that Quest Diagnostics employees WILL talk to you, even while admitting a different patient - - unlike other experiences I've had! = ))) QD has always treated me professionally - - a DEFINITE "recommend." I hate this company. I really do. That sounds strong, but when it's a complete nightmare trying to get bloodwork done every so often, you can grow to hate it... and especially when you don't seem to have a choice because it's based on the lab company your doctor uses. To those looking to find out hours and locations... forget it. Most locations are appointment only... which means you have to show up at a certain time to wait two hours. The ones that aren't appointment only are a mystery. You can't trust online directories... they're usually wrong when a poorly run company like this lets all it's locations run their own hours and procedures. If you're lucky enough to find one, it's either nowhere near you or closed on Saturdays.... when you're off, and you actually have time. You're also very lucky if you travel all the way to one thinking you can get in, and you actually do. Usually, it's either one with stupid hours or appointment only, in spite of whatever information you found on it. You end up wasting your time and a 12-hour fast because people can't run a company right. A couple times I got irate about it, but they don't care what inconveniences they cause you. I was told recently that the locations inside Southwest Medical accept walk-ins and I should always be able to get in. Today, when I was told after actually walking into the Eastern location and seeing two people (ONLY two), sitting in the waiting room that they're "closed" and I needed an appointment, I could only shake my head and walk away. It's not like they don't seem to have the time to take my bloodwork. Are they too lazy? Do they not realize how much of a clusterf*** their operation is? I don't know... but I give up on them. I wish Southwest Medical would switch to Labcorp. I'd go around the insurance and pay for it myself if I have to. read more

A highlight of this location is the security guard who makes sure everyone follows masking protocol. The lobby is a bit small for proper social distancing, but the facility is clean and the phlebotomists are great. read more

I usually go to this location to get my blood work done since my bank is next door, along with the 99 cents store AND Sprouts is in the same shopping complex. You have to check in on one of their 3 tablets at the counters and then you wait. A front desk clerk will call you for insurance and your ID and then you'll have to wait some more for the tech to come out. There's a TV towards the left of the waiting area and on the screen you can see how long it'll take to call your name for the ID part. The techs are usually pretty efficient and they've all been pretty nice to me. Last time I went I ran my errands after I showed them my ID. When I was back, I let the front desk know that I was back and they took me next as they had already called my name but I missed it. So they were pretty understanding. I was also on a time crunch. read more

Went here for bloodwork for upcoming procedure. Arrived as a walk in - the waiting room was very clean & they had a sign in kiosk - within minutes of signing in I was called. Kathy met me at the door - was very kind & friendly. She was very good at taking blood & it was pretty pain free & fast. I recommend downloading the quest diagnostic app - it tells you all of the locations & also how long the wait is for walk-ins in real time. read more

Quest has the worst service possible!!! Avoid all locations in Nevada!! They do not advise you when 1 single blood test will cost you over $300! How do they think that is fair and transparent treatment. Then when you call to request a manager, they don't call you back, then when you finally talk to someone they give you a false phone number for Corporate Complaints. It's too bad giving no stars is not an option because that is what this location deserves. I normally go to the Quest on Sahara, but I needed my lab work done in a timely manner, and the Sahara location did not have any openings. My initial appointment was fine. The problem did not start until last weekend when I was at the airport for a flight and realized I did not have my drivers license. After dumping out my purse and searching everywhere, I realized I also did not have my medical insurance card. I remembered that the last time I saw them was when the person that took my blood asked to see them on December 21st at Quest. I tried calling and calling, to check to see if they had it, but I could not get a human to answer the phone, just prompts that led me to extensions that were of no help at all. I then called their customer service number and was on hold for 40 minutes. The person I talked to said they would e mail and call that location and someone would get back to me on whether my cards were there. No one ever got back to me. So, today I spent my lunch hour driving over there to hopefully get it. There is NO human to talk to, just the machines to check in, so I finally grabbed a person when they came out the door to get someone for their lab work. This person was a very heavy-set black woman and she was NOT pleasant at all. The words I would use to describe her would be rude, sassy, and surly. She went in the back for 2 seconds and came back, insisting that my missing cards were not there.... That all things left were put in "Lost and found" and they were not there. I nicely asked if they could be anyplace else, as I was sure they were there, as it was the last place I used them. She begrudgingly said I could come back in the room I thought I had been in. She asked the person in the room if she had seen my cards, and she handed her my cards immediately. As I was leaving, the black woman said over her shoulder in a nasty manner, "I just don't know why it took you so long to notice they were missing." REALLY? Are you even freaking kidding me? Do you look at your drivers license and medical insurance card every day? I don't. I only look at them when I need them. Like when I am about to leave for a freaking flight and need to show my i.d.!!!! THEY KEPT MY CARDS and made it impossible to talk to a human to see if they were there so I had to spend my lunch hour driving over there and she feels she can be sassy and rude to me? I WILL NOT go back to this location EVER again. read more

I am posting a review for services rendered over a period of time at this location long after the fact because I am finally calm enough TO talk about it. At this location, there is one specific elderly, balding male phlebotomist who consistently gave me the most excruciatingly painful blood draws of my life. (and due to my medical issues, Ive had thousands and thousands already) He always left me in tears, and I was always made to go to him when my name was called. It got to the point where I just started saying "No male techs" at sign in, to keep from ever having to deal with *him* again. Also, I got CONSTANT refusal and arguments when I requested they use the butterfly on me instead of the straight needle, and I was lied to repeatedly and told that the needle in the butterfly is the exact same needle as the syringe, when infact it ISNT. These resistant, obstinant, unknowledgeable techs were gaslighting me for YEARS over something that costs them nothing, which I am ENTITLED to and would make the process easier on both of us because its *less painful* for ME - you know, the patient whose inner arms were repeatedly turned into raw ground beef by idiotic techs who refused to listen to me and refused to accommodate my requests for the Butterfly; who instead spent many, many, long, painful moments at MANY apointments over the years, jabbing me wrong and then digging around in my body to attempt to find my vein. Its outrageous that they have been getting away with behaving this way for all of these years!!! I continued having to go to this clinic until one day when I was assigned to an elderly female tech who spent the entire appointment PREACHING to me that if I was just a good enough, FAITHFUL enough Christian, GOD would reverse my irreversible health condition. That day was the last day I have ever set foot in any Quest Diagnostics lab. I left that day in a torrent of enraged furious tears because of that woman having the AUDACITY to tell me that my life changing, dangerous, irreversible medical condition is occuring because Im not a good enough Christian. OUTRAGEOUS and DISGUSTING, as well as utterly unacceptable. I will not ever ever support this company again when I can go to LabCorps and be treated quickly, professionally and painlessly. I hope they close this location for good at once because from the other reviews I have just read, things here have only gotten markedly worse since I decided never to let them hurt me again. This place deserves a no star review. I've never seen a retail store front for medical testing so overrun with zero customer service-- worse than the DMV and social security office. When arriving you're greeted by a tiny lobby, with all seats taken, a line out the door and iPad-like check in devices that work poorly. You have to wait for the staff to come out the door for the next person to enter for any assistance. The rude, overworked staff are still enforcing Sisolak's useless mask mandate that is no longer in affect and won't take care of your testing unless you wear one; yet won't provide you with one. read more

Arrived at W Lake Mead location as walk-in about 633am on Thursday July 23. Phone message said if you're over 60 you can show up in the first hour as "walk-in" for VIP service. So I did. Bit of a line, then staff member came out with a tablet and quickly signed everyone in [almost all over 60]. Had to wait outside till texted to go to inside waiting room. Sat for a bit while folks came and went in fairly quick fashion; walk-ins and appt's in proper order. Maybe 15 minutes later I was called and a wonderful young woman drew my blood easily. On my way home after a total of about an hour. Considering the crowd, and I was a walk-in, I thought the staff moved us thru the process quite proficiently. They were professional and courteous too. I had an appointment today at quest for a routine lab draw. My mistake, I forgot my printed out lab orders. I had the email and a digital copy on my phone and ask a staff member if I could just print it out here or email it to someone here at quest to print out. His response was for me to go down the street to Office Depot and print it out. When I look around the waiting room at the age of the people waiting to be served, it dawned on me that Quest is neglecting care for the elderly by not providing an in facility capability of printing out their order. I am relatively healthy and could have gone down to Office Depot to print out the two pages but instead I cancel my appointment and rescheduled. In order to save a couple of pennies - the cost of paper and ink - Quest is making it less convenient for an elderly population to do business with them. As a healthcare professional myself, I realize that reimbursement for healthcare providers is declining and healthcare professionals are leaving the profession due to burn out, etc. but that is no reason for a large corporation to squeeze a couple of more pennies out of their overhead, considering the age of the population, they primarily serve.
