I went early this morning to another Quest location to find out they were closed for remodel. I was disappointed that it wasn't disclosed on the website but found this location was less then a ten minute drive away. Got in line 15 minutes before they opened and waited outside. The employee that opened the door was very informative. Told anyone that had an appointment to come forward and she confirmed on her chart before letting them in. After that, it was the non appointment people's turn (including me). One by one we went in and she helped us check in at the kiosk. They open at 6:30. I was in the door at 6:40 am and got in my car to leave at 7:00 am. I think they did an amazing job considering the high volume of people that show up. 5 star for my experience today. read more

Spent most of the day trying to drop off urine for my grandmother after being told initially we did not need an appointment. I ended up making an appointment for this location at 210pm after being turned away at 2 other locations. I got called back about 240 and the phlebotomist Amanda Brown was SO nice. And told me I did not infact need an appointment. There was another lady in the waiting room who had been there with a stool sample for over an hour and it was defrosting. She was also initially told she did not need an appointment but then when she arrived they told she needed an appointment or she could sit and wait. So she waited. Hopefully her sample was viable. Because as if having to collect the sample isn't hard enough now you have to sit in the waiting room with it for over an hour ??? This place needs to get it together. They eliminated front desk staff, everything is kiosks. They probably did it to save money but their customer service is suffering. Go somewhere else if you can. read more

Waited almost 45 minutes for my schedules appointment. That's bad enough. But, it gets worse... When I got in there, the woman who was taking my blood told me she didn't think they took my insurance. I told her I scanned my card in when i made the appointment and she said that didn't do anything. So, I felt the dread and then remembered - ugh - they had never responded to my email request for insurance verification and that's my bad. She got another woman to come in and confirm that. I more or less whined (I was NOT nasty, just annoyed at myself!) about how Quest really should have gotten back to me. Why would they do that? Rather than simply apologize on behalf of Quest, the woman who came in challenged me about having any interaction with Quest at all. She literally scoffed at me. "How did you contact them?" and when I said it was email, she rolled her eyes and said that Quest doesn't use email with patients. I told her that they didn't answer the phone so I reached out to them on the website. They emailed me back, said they'd get back to me and they never did. She rolled her eyes and said, in so many words that no, that didn't happen. I said, "I need to get out of here before I get really angry and said waved her hand at me and said, "Well, there's the door!" I went home - found the email and sent it back to the original woman in the lab. Crickets from her. What is wrong with people? What makes them think it is ok to treat patients like this? read more

This is not against this particular location. I'm posting about my experience with Quest My Doc Bill representatives. I just finished speaking with Venita or Renita at billing (the 3rd or 4th person I've spoken to within the past 3 hours). She knows the mechanics of her job but does not have what it takes to respond well to inbound calls. It's an attitude, really, because we speak with more than just our mouth. Facial expressions, body language AND manner and/or tone of voice. Through those means, she conveyed "you're an idiot because you don't know what I know about my job and I know it all." As soon as I finish up business with them, I'll be moving my business and insurance coverage to another lab company. read more

Had to do some additional blood work. Came here was in and out within 20 minutes ON A SATURDAY! My phlebotomist Maria was so sweet and gentle!!! I hate needles and I barely felt her it was the best experience I have ever had giving blood. I wish more phlebotomists has her gentle touch!!! read more

I was a walk-in at 10:00AM and was able to select a slot on the kiosk to come back at 3:10PM the same day. Upon arriving back at 3:00PM I checked into the kiosk and my name/time appeared on the big screen as #23, the wait was over an hour long. We had time to eat gelato next door and decided to wait in the parking lot for the text message notification to come in. At some point I was #13 and a staff had come out and reconfirmed our name and that it was for a newborn screening. I finally received the text notification at 4:09PM to come in to see the phlebotomist. I went in and spoke to the staff inside and was told to wait to be called. After waiting 10 minutes I flagged down another staff and was told to wait again. At this point I notice my name is no longer on the waiting screen. At 4:40PM and after speaking to several staff intermittently it turns out I was immediately taken off the list for not being present in the office at the time of the text. What's the point of the text system if you need to be waiting in the office? The staff kept trying to hand me a paper to set an appointment but this lab had to be completed today at the latest so I declined several times. There were others in the waiting room who were having frustrations with their appointment as well. read more

Super easy is what I say! Had to have some annual lab work completed for my doctor appointment. I have learned from past experience to make an appointment at this lab before going. My appointment was at 5:15pm but I arrived at 5:00. I walked in and they were a little busy, very clean facility with lots of chairs. Atmosphere was bright and airy. I made my way up front and they had IPads to check in with. Once I completed this function, I took a seat. I was promptly called back by Joni. She was very professional and efficient and did point out to me that I had needed to fast for two of the tests which I had not done so I asked her to just do the tests she could do and I would come back another day. She was quick at obtaining the blood samples and very good at locating a strong vein. Her area was very tidy and all of her needed supplies for the blood draw were readily available. Although my appointment time was at 5:15, I was out the door by 5:20! Great service, organized office, friendly staff! I will be back again! read more

I came in for a Blue Print for Wellness at Quest Diagnostics on Lake Mead at 08:30...Signed in and waited...the office was already full with people who needed Quest Diagnostics services. Simple chairs and a quiet TV fill the waiting area. The staff helped me call for Blue Print sign-in and processed my case for my employer. During that process they were patient, and prompt--ensuring I wouldn't lose my spot. They measured my weight, blood pressure, and of course drew my blood. The attendent who was doing all this was so skilled that I didn't even have to hold my breath. When you see someone who does their job so well you greatly appreciate it as it makes it all worth it. read more

Exceptional customer service even when going through a difficult situation. They weren't as fast as I hoped but they were professional and tried their best at helping me through the process. This location was clean and the registration process was quick. I definitely liked this location compared to others. I'd definitely prefer this location over others. Part 1. Yelp needs to change their star system to allow a zero-star rating. I have been to this facility many times, but things keep getting worse. I have gone there only because their location and hours are convenient. My doctor sent me for a series of lab tests, mostly routine. Because a blood glucose was included, I had to be fasting. I had an appointment, and even though there was only one other person in the waiting room, and my name was listed on their screen as a one-minute wait, I waited close to 10 minutes to be called back. The phlebotomist was obviously new. She had no idea how to work their computer system, and needed a second person in that little room to help her. Okay, but I've been at home for more than six months now, due to underlying conditions, and having three people in that tiny space was unnerving. Soon a fourth joined, also to help. The tech was so out of her element that I asked if I was her first blood draw. No, she replied, she had worked at a hospital. Oh, great, more exposure. At least they were all wearing masks and face shields, though the latter is mostly useless. This was the day before Labor Day, so I knew I wouldn't get results until Tuesday. And when I was notified by Quest that my results were in and I checked online, I saw that the entire metabolic panel was missing. I called my doctor's office; the front desk person called Quest, and learned that they neglected to do it. Even worse, there was nothing that could be done, and I'd have to go back, fasting again! This is shameful negligence. Stay tuned for Part 2. It gets worse. Part 2: Yesterday I went back to Quest, again fasting, for them to do what they ignored last time. This time a different phlebotomist took my blood. I'm still self-isolating, so the fact that her mask kept slipping below her nose was disturbing. I had to ask her to use it properly. It looked old and stretched out; she was chewing gum, which was probably why it kept slipping. But at least she knew how to use the computer system. It was quick, and the results were available the next day. What Quest shows you online is a different format from what they send the doctor, and since I have medical experience, I like to see the report the way it should be displayed. I called my doctor's office and had the report faxed to me. And once again, Quest screwed up. (I'd like to use a word other than "screwed.") This time they left out the Lipid panel, clearly ordered by my doctor. What the #$%^&* is wrong with them! And for a third time, I will have to go to a lab FASTING. But this time it won't be Quest, no matter how inconvenient. And never again. I am going to file a formal complaint with the state licensing bureau. They need to be held accountable for this repeated ineptitude. read more

Went there to drop off a urine test for kidney stones. We got there at about 11:00 am, We checked in twice, and wound up on stand by my number for the drop off was 105. Meanwhile, four different employees came out and when I explained that all I needed to do was drop something off, I was told "You have to wait" and then they proceeded to call numbers that were beyond mine I.e. 106, 107. The way that it is run needs to be examined, people who are there just to drop off a completed test should not have to wait. We wasted about two hours of my time. I finally decided to go to Another Quest where I told them that all I had to do was drop a completed test off, to which they replied that , Drop offs should go to the top of the list. read more

They don't keep your scheduled appointment, and all walk-ins are "not guaranteed same-day service." Stay away! Horrible business practices. Go to Lab Corp if your insurance allows. Dirty office and poor customer service. Super disappointed in the cleanliness of the office. There was a specimen of someone else's urine in the exam table in the room I was taken in to, ew. Also the woman that was "assisting me" never acknowledged me. She spoke to the person she was training, like "...tell her to sign here." The girl she was training was polite enough but she was so new/overwhelmed and nervous, too busy learning her new job to really speak to me. No one actually directly talked to me, I just had to listen and do what the trainer told the girl. The trainer even told her "tell her to have a good day." Seriously? You can't say it to me? I've been a trainer in almost every position I've worked in, and it's a shame to see a trainer ignoring a patient to train a new person, especially if customer service is part of the job. read more

Yikes, not the best experience. If you're reading this, I'd suggest going elsewhere. I was a walk-in and signed up at the tablet (weird that there is no one to talk to), but had a 36 minute wait. I thought, "Okay, not bad", and went to go out to my car and wait. After about 30 minutes, I received a text message to go back inside and so I did, the the entire place was empty. More people started to trickle in as I waited another 10, then 20, then 30, then 40 minutes, and got slowly irritated at everyone else getting called in besides myself. Luckily (maybe not, because I've wasted so much time already), was able to catch a phlebotomist who would stick their head out for 5 seconds before running back and asked what the wait time was for walk-ins. They simply stated that they are taking appointments first then closed the door and that was the only answer they had. No sorry, no questions in how long I was waiting, no trying to get squeeze me in or anything (clearly, they have no care except for getting people in and out who have appointments). Okay... so I just left. I'm not one to make a fuss, argue, or raise my voice. I mean, I get it, if it was the case that walk-ins were going to get completely ignored (or very low priority in other words), it really needs to be more obvious and also have someone up front to talk to at least about what to expect or try to get you in. They are honestly just better off not even taking walk-ins because it really feels like you're helpless waiting in the waiting room with no appointment. Wait time was short for me as I had an appointment online and only had to check into the kiosk upon arrival. The waiting room was clean but I feel as though all of these pros are outweighed by the con of having rude staff. Not sure if Ashley was having a bad day or treats everyone like this - but she was very snippy. Her responses were short and abrupt, and I was given attitude for needing a bit of clarification throughout the process. Checked in at 9am, no appointment. They have iPads where you enter your info to check-in then wait. It took about 30mins before they called me up to get my license and insurance card. They told me the wait would be 45mins to an hour and I could leave and come back if I like. The place was full so I decided to just come back at 10:15 and was out of there within 15mins. I've always preferred coming here, especially when my dad stayed with me for a couple months. I never heard any complaints from him regarding the wait or getting stuck. The ladies up front are efficient and the phlebotomists are kind and gentle. I've brought my son here too when he was a baby and they got him with no problem. My Son had to do blood work he is a cancer patient, first the one located on Rainbow had made him an appointment for 4.40 pm when we got there they said they do not do blood work after 4 then why they made the appointment for that time, then we went here to the one on lakemead Blvd when we walk in theirs a kiosk to check in no one to speak to not good, so we waited to be called theirs no ventilation in the place small and i felt a bit unsafe, do to not many people were wearing a mask so I felt unsafe small place no ventilation but i trusted that they may have some kind of airflow to clear the room nope none so when we left a day later my Son got Covid and so did I. this place is Covid Infested why would two people who were not sick get sick right away and we have gone to other places but never got sick go there and got covid. Came to drop off a sample. They made me come inside and fill out info on a touch screen that no one was cleaning in between uses. Left phone number to get a text when it was ok to come back inside and drop off. Waited for 15 minutes then went back inside. Evidently they didn't bother to text me, instead they went outside where NO ONE WAS WAITING and called my name. Had to go inside and wait again, then they took me into an EXAM ROOM to sign some paperwork. They are testing people for covid-19 here. This should have been handled at the front door, instead of exposing me to their high-traffic infectious zone. These people are Clowns. Avoid this office. **************************** Response to the comment from Quest: This was a simple drop off. All the info was on the package. I don't know What you do with covid-19 stuff. I simply witnessed a few different instances where some one showed up, and covid-19 was mentioned before they were led inside. I stayed clear. I will note that the staff were never rude. Yes, mistakes happen. The lab was not particularly busy. I appreciate the corporate apology. This was simply a waste of time and a period of needless exposure, no matter why people may have been visiting. Things are difficult for everyone, staff including. I get it. It would be better for patrons if something like a simple drop, with the patient's name clearly displayed, could just be read from a bar code or a QR code get grabbed and done. The casinos are shut because They are taking things seriously. It's been many weeks now since social distancing measures have been instituted. They have modernized their facility and the online scheduling website works better. I typically need blood drawn while fasting so I really love the online scheduling feature. Upon arrival the check in is now faster and more efficient. My typical wait time for the past couple of years has been no more than about 15 minutes (with an appointment). The staff that I've encountered have been friendly and efficient. Most of the time that I've had blood drawn it has been with no pain nor problems. Sometimes I don't drink enough water which makes it more difficult to draw my blood (be well hydrated!). read more
