I made an appointment online, arrived 15min earlier, checked in by phone and waited in the car per their direction for over 25mins, received the text to come up. The asian receptionist was somewhat very rude, I told her about my appointment and the text, she ignored me and told me to have a seat and wait. If I didn't come up and ask them for the second time after waiting for almost 30mins, I think they would have me sit there for a few more hours. The phlebotomist was great and very gentle. If they don't improve their customer service, I don't think anyone would want to come back again. A quick CBC test with appointment should not take more than an hour. read more

Very good location. My girlfriend and I came here earlier today. Unfortunately she fainted after the blood draw, and while she was recovering, the staff people here did not rush her to leave the office. They were very kind and compassionate to her while she recovered. I have been here 5 times and every time they hit the vein on the very first try. Did not schedule an appointment, got there around 10:15 am. Got in, signed in, called my name less than 10 minutes. Technician was very nice and hit the vein on her first try! Hurray! Gave me cup for urine sample. Put it in the tray. Left. As I was leaving, 2 techs, including mine, said good-bye, and hope you have a great day. Desk lady also said, thanks for coming, see you next time. Overall, excellent! I was out of there in less than 30 minutes. read more

I don't know why such negative reviews. I came right when they opened, no appointment, and was out of there within 35 minutes. I did notice it filled up rather quickly. The staff was very nice. My phlebotomist was the sweetest woman, wish I would have gotten her name. The place was clean, close to my home and easy to get to. I recommend coming in around 5-10 minutes before they open to be in and out within 30 minutes. read more

I have been going to this location for a few years now. Sometimes this location is SLAMMED, waiting room completely full. They do turn around patients pretty quickly and efficiently. Today I dreaded going there due to the long waits at times. I was pleasantly surprised at the wait. The answering machine service wont allow you to speak with an actual person if you have questions or anything, so go at your own risk as far as wait times, etc. The parking can be tricky. The paid parking lot is terrible. I learned after a while, to always park along the streets adjacent to the paid parking, as those are all FREE. You just have to pay attention...there's almost ALWAYS free parking available, if you look for it and it's literally 2 feet from the actual parking lot and available on three different streets adjacent. read more

My wife and I had our blood test at this location for the first time. Previously we have been using the Seal Beach location on Westminster. This review is for the Cherry st location in Los Alamitos. Fantastic experience. Check-in process was very organized and efficient and great staff. All staff we're friendly and efficient. Highly recommend. Full 5 stars. I got there ten minutes after they opened. There were only 3 people waiting. I was politely greeted by the woman at the front desk and asked to sign in. I only waited for about ten minutes before they took me back. My phlebotomist was Sunny, she was amazing! From the start, I told her I was terrified of needles and cry every time. She was very good at making me feel comfortable and distracting me. She found my vein on the first try, it was quick and painless. I was in and out of there within 30-40 minutes. read more

Rude front office staff. Website takes 715 appointments but they dont open until 730 and takes their first appointment at 745. So if you have an appointment before they open you are treated as a walk in. Truly the main issue was the rude office assistant. read more

Very understaffed! They need a receptionist to register patients and take payments. The lab techs need to focus on blood draws not paperwork. The staff was friendly and did their best but I still waited 2 hours to be called back then another 20 minutes in the room while the LAB tech registered me and took my co pay. read more

Worst Quest lab ever! I've tried different locations but this one is the worst one. I came for 9 month baby blood test. First the receptionist was very rude. I gave her wrong insurance card by mistake and she said to me I am making everyone's job hard and she keep complaining that I should not gave her the wrong card in first place. Second, 2 staffs fail to do the test. The doctor refer me here because they are good at baby blood test. I understand it is hard to find vein from tiny baby arm. But first staff could not find the vein. then, the receptionist came in to help, guess she was a nurse too, and saying that she has 15 years experience, this kind of stuff the school don't even teach. Okay, when you say something like this, you really should know what to do. she put the needle in my baby's tiny arm, rotating 3 different direction to look for the vein, and she still could not find it! they are saying my baby has a good size of vein but they could not do it because it is moving. how ridiculous! I was so mad I will never ever going back to this lab again. read more

Not even worth 1 star. Went in today to have my 8 y/o son´s blood drawn. He has important blood work that needs to be done. One order (out of 3) was being sent to Duke University. I asked the blood tech about it and she was confused. She looked at the papers I handed her and she didn't have the order from the front desk. We went up to check out where the order was at the front desk. The front desk gal pulled it out of the TRASH. I asked her why it was in the trash, she said it wasn't an order. I said it clearly says Laboratory Order. Long story short, they had to draw blood again. They made a mistake with my son's name on the blood tube. I made her give me copies of everything I handed her. I asked her again, you are sending this to Duke University right? She said she couldn't, she had to call her supervisor. She couldn't get ahold off her. She then told me she had to call my son's hospital. I made her give me that one tube of blood so I could send it myself. Do NOT go there! read more

My family and I have been coming to this Quest, because it's the closest one to my house, for the past several years. Each time we've gone there has been a very prolonged wait to be seen. Even times when there's been nobody else in the waiting room, I've had to wait 30 minutes to be seen. The biggest issue I have with this place is the woman who works at the front counter. Every time my wife and I have gone in she has been short, rude, and inconsiderate. Even upon first contact she looks at you as if you have irritated her or ruined her day. I had a sample that I needed to drop off for evaluation for my doctor. I showed up four minutes before they were supposed to close only to find that the door was locked and nobody would answer. Because I had used the cup given to me by my doctor I had to go in and request another one. When I asked for one at the front, the lady at the front refuse to give me one and said she had to see my paperwork. I told her what kind of cup I needed and even gave her the phone number to the Doctor Who could verify which one, but she refused to help me any further. After I came back with the proper paperwork she still refuse to even acknowledge I was there. It wasn't until a blood tech came out and saw me and asked "have you been helped yet?" He was very kind and was able to help me in less than a minute. Even during this time the lady at the front never looked over or knowledged that I was even there. I returned that same day with my sample six minutes before they were supposed to close. This was the best I could do since my work schedule does not allow me to come in until close to their closing time. I made sure that I was there before four because of what had happened the time before. As soon as I got there the door was locked and nobody would answer. I double checked on my phone which has the correct time and it was six minutes before 4 o'clock. I knocked on the door several times and even announced that I only needed to drop off a sample. Approximately a few minutes later, and still before 4 o'clock, The blend tech who had helped me with the cup earlier opened and employees only door and asked if he could help me. I told him I just needed to drop off the sample however he said the lady at the front is the only person who can except it. I pointed out that I had been there since before 4 o'clock yet he told me that she would still refuse to help. The technician was very kind and went inside to ask her again only to return to have him say she refuses to help me. The technician did not seem surprised about my irritation with this employee. I made sure to place a call to quest before 4 o'clock and take pictures to prove that I was there before they were supposed to close. This woman's lack of doing her job has inconvenienced me and my family several times including now on a holiday weekend! The lady at the front, "Kay", is rude, inconsiderate, and should not have a job or she has to interact with the public! I'm 38 years old and have never written a complaint about somebody before. Her continuous disrespectful attitude and lack of professionalism has irritated me and inconvenienced my family to a point of frustration I have not felt with any other service before!!! read more

In reading the previous reviews - I was not surprised to see how many people were in agreement with me on the total lack of humanity coming from the receptionist at this facility. I mentioned something to another person in the waiting area and she compared that woman's personality to a brick wall. I thought she was being too generous. It is the first rule of business that the first person you meet represents your entire organization. This receptionist doesn't know a thing about dealing with the public. She doesn't smile or greet you with any hint that she gives a "____" as to why you are there. This was my first visit to Quest because it is covered by my insurance. The previous lab I used is no longer in business which is sad because they had people working there who knew how to work in a people business. The majority of Quest offices do not have Saturday hours which means if you have to take a "fasting" blood test - you need to take time off from work to do. Time off from work that you don't get paid for. Quest - get your act together or else you too will go by the wayside. read more

Does not even deserve a one star. They were horrible. They do not know how to work with Pediatric patients. Technician could not find vein on arm of my one year old , but he attempted to draw blood. He kept moving needle in and around my sons arm, while he is screaming. I said it was hurting him. He said, " no its not" I said I've had that done to me before and it hurts, and thats when he finally took needle out. And this was one of the locations that they said that worked with pediatrics.
