I had to get my occupational health screening completed at this particular Concentra and I was surprised by how efficient the experience was. I super appreciated how little I waited from the moment I got checked-in until I left the facility. The MA who took care of me from start to finish was a gold-star MA. She was not just efficient, but proficient with administering injections and venipuncture. I'm a hard stick and also used to train MAs and phlebotomists. I wholeheartedly wish every MAs are like her. I wish I remembered her name because she really deserves a shoutout. I don't know of any other Concentra that's as coordinated as this location because I was there for less than an hour for all that I needed done. The drug screening took very little to no time even when using the wonky eScreen. The physician came in very quickly to complete the physical itself once all the specimens were collected and the immunization were administered. Just for comparison, my previous experience at a different Concentra location took me a whopping 4.5hr for a visit completion. So I was fully expecting to be stuck there for hours too. Also, the facility is extremely clean and well kept. Parking is free and aplenty right in front of the entrance. Anyhow, if I ever have to get anything done related to occupational health again, I would definitely go out of my way to visit the Placentia location in the future. read more

Both times they came to do a second bp reading manually and didn't even try to hide their disgusting attitudes. And the staff in general seems to want to make your dealings more difficult for you, seeming to find reasons to turn you down for things you need done for your case. And they dont do edd forms online only the paper form which is ridiculous in 2026. I dropped the form off and it sat for days until I called then 2 more days and was told I had to take it to the original dr at the first concentra facility near my job which is far from home. So after waiting over 1 week I took the form back to the original treating dr and 3 days later it was ready to pick up, then you have to mail it. Ridiculous!! Go somewhere else. read more

Worst place on the planet. They can't keep appointments as scheduled. Appointment was 10;00 am waited till 11:00am to be called. Why you schedule people if you can't keep the appointments. Than if you like to quit or go somwherelse they want to charge you $150.00. It's their fault that people get fed up waiting and you must pay penalty. Is that even legal? I will find out. So if you can stay way from any Concentra, not just the one. My friend is very naive, and he thinks it will change. It will never change. So if you go and you have an appointment don't count your schedule is a timely matter. You need to be prepared to wait Unlimited amount of time till you will be seen. I was definitely not greeted kindly only was met by this rude person. Mixed feelings. At least they have AC and it's clean. Felt dismissed because the PA told me he would write an order for massage therapy, but didn't, so I had to come back for another appointment. The doctor then told me they don't have a CPT code for it, which makes no sense because you can look it up online. His body posture was also imposing bc I was sitting down and he was looming over me. Since I came in as a victim of a male stalker, I found that triggering. The nurse working was semi rude and couldn't answer my questions even though she pretended she was. 2 of the staff were actually considerate and concerned enough to go find the answers for my questions. Thank you to those 2 staff! As someone who works with injured workers, the experience made me proud that at least we provide better services, because so many other places are mills and don't seem to have great communication or training. I see also how companies shape staff into stressed employees as someone who experiences it myself. Still, incompetence and bedside manner can be addressed. Or should I say Dr. doesn't care about your well being and does not listen to her patients and just pushes you to return to work regardless of how much pain you are in. At this specific appointment she had the nerve to comment on an additional injury that I had that she is NOT seeing me for basically telling me that I'm lying and i need to get back to work. Office is located in a business district, so I assumed the office was clean and professional. Experience in the office was poor and inconsistent causing my schedule to be inconvenienced. The front desk girls seem to be new or maybe they just don't have the right skill sets or proper management to get their paperwork done correctly and to provide prescription information. I had to double back, not once but twice because they forgot to provide me with stuff or because the information they gave me was incorrect. My boyfriend is currently getting tended at this location. He was encouraged to go in early left work couldn't be seen came back for his appointment. Still had to wait. 45 minutes. The only issue I have is that even with an appointment as a returning patient, you wait until all the walk-ins that arrived before you are seen. This can be a 10 minute wait or more than an hour. The staff is caring, efficient, and knowledgeable. My visits were in the midst of an office wide remodel and everyone handled the constant structural changes and construction noise with grace and understanding. read more

Got sent here for a test. The two female receptionists were really sweet and helpful, as they even printed my paperwork out for me in advance before I arrived to try to minimize my wait time. Unfortunately, I probably just came on an especially crowded day because I still had to wait almost two hours to get seen for the first part of the test! Luckily, the waiting area was really comfortable, as they even had a coffee machine, water station, pretzels, fruit snacks and granola bars. That definitely made the time go by a bit faster! After noticing that I waited so long for the first test, the staff assured me that it would be a lot quicker the second time around for my follow-up. Sure enough, when I returned a few days later, I literally was in and out within minutes. The doctor who performed my reading was very professional and even made a copy of my results for me to keep. I highly recommend this place, but suggest making an appointment in advance, if possible! read more

All the healthcare providers are fine here except for Michael Greenberg, PA. I never had a healthcare provider who came into the room and not introduce themselves. He needs to work on nonverbal communication as he stayed towards the exit with one hand on the door handle. Other providers introduced themselves, sat down to log into the computer and chat with me as they documented. Michael Greenberg never looked at me once and left the room quickly after he said whatever he came to say. As I was attempting to describe my concerns, he interrupted me and dismissed them then quickly left the room. I was left stunned, confused, and speechless. Then I heard him curse and say these inappropriate words: "shit!," "fuck!," "fucking," and "patient." While I sat in the room, I was horrified by the unprofessionalism. If you can try to go some place else to get your care, please do? I was seen by Dr.Wang. He was nice and laughed a lot. I was really hurt and was hoping for a month off of my regular duties to heal... nope! One nurse told me that he only gives 2 weeks at a time! So for 90 days, I was inconvenienced every 2 weeks getting off of work to see him for workers comp. He was really quick with moving on when something didn't work... physical therapy made me hurt more, moved on to acupuncture then moved on to an MRI. I liked that about him. When he told me that I have partial tears in my ligament and tendon he said, "It's only a partial tear. No big deal!" I could have flipped! I then told him to get that piece of paper in his hand and give me a partial tear! A tear is a tear. He then laughed at me. Dr. Wang needs work on his bedside manor and not down play injuries when people who are "really" hurt. read more

This review is for the service, time waiting to see the doctor, the results and experience from surgery, physical therapy & overall opinion of Concentra and its staff in Placentia. I will try to keep this review as condensed as possible. I tore my bicep in late February, 2015 at work. After some back and forth with my workers comp that Concentra made it a mission to contact continuously, I was approved and had surgery in late March. The office can get pretty packed, but they try to attend and have you in a room in under an hour. There are free snacks with tea and coffee while you wait and everyone is always busy, and always friendly. This is a big change from the hospitals urgent cares and regretfully E.R.'s I've ended up in due to injuries, and it was it was good sign of things to come. Dr. Peter S. Borden, who evaluated and follows up with patients in Placentia, was the one responsible for my surgery. The doctor is serious and a professional individual. He answered all my questions and I never felt that he didn't care about my recovery. After a few weeks up return visits and a soft cast change, I started physical therapy and returned to work on light duty. My company didn't understand the meaning of light duty and I quit shortly after to not endanger my recovery. During therapy I met Dexter. Dexter will push you to make the best recovery you can if you allow him to with great advice. Any question you ask him involving therapy or exercise is answered with a plethora of knowledge and techniques he's happy to share with you. After therapy, I saw Dr. Borden a few more times and was eventually given the green light to work again but, to not push it. The time waiting and not working has been the hardest part, but I do have other injuries from the past which included a compound fracture in my left forearm and a broken left femur with titanium rods in it. I needed to make sure I took the time to make this recovery count. You can see the pictures on here as proof. I would post the ones of my hand after the cast was removed, but they are not pretty. The end result is amazing though, especially if you compare it to other similar surgeries online. Everyone here is amazing. I hate that I got injured, but I'm so lucky it happened in the area to have Concentra be the one who helped me. Everyone here in Placentia is amazing and actually cares. They really do. I didn't bump into any egotistical or "I'm too busy to help you," schmuck. I've dealt with nurses doctors and therapists for years since I deliver and repair medical equipment.
