I was lucky that my phlebotomist yesterday was Rachel. We needed to draw blood for 17 vials and that gave us a few minutes to talk. She was wonderful, funny, and kind. But the most amazing thing is that I didn't feel the slightest pinch, no pain at all, and a day later, I don't have any sign of bruising whatsoever. Rachel, you are the best! The facility was clean. I didn't have to wait for my appointment. Quest, as a business model, is very efficient and can feel cold with the lack of human interaction, so you have to be ready for self check-in which is not difficult, and be ok with the fact that there is no receptionist. But the few minutes I spent with Rachel were surprisingly fun, and that was unexpected. read more

Rude staff. Horrible walk-in policy. Don't accept walk-in patients if you are going to chastise walk-ins for not making appointments. This is the only location with Saturday hours. Staff acknowledges appointments book up 2 weeks in advance. Regrettably, I'm unable to schedule my illness two weeks in advance for your convenience. Despite being #1 on wait list, staff treated a walk in (who arrived 30 minutes after I did) before me. Over 2.5 hours have passed since they've called another walk in. When asked if any of us will be seen, we are told "I can't say." The waiting room, filled with walk ins, staff laughter and chit chat is audible yet no patients being called back. read more

There was never anyone at the desk to answer questions, and nearly 30 checked-in people to get through. At some point, a gentleman had to wait for ten minutes standing by the locked office doors waiting for a doctor to let him in to the bathroom. We know blood draws don't take long, and yet, I was counting nearly 15 or more minutes per person. When I had called prior, I was told walk-ins would not be an issue... Big mistake. There is no one to help at the front leaving elderly struggling with unfamiliar technology. I waited over TWO HOURS and watched a poor old woman who was there before me be told they don't cover her insurance here..... If someone was doing their due diligence to be present up front to take care of issues like that she wouldn't have to sit in a lobby for nothing. It was to our understanding, me and my wife that stat was a priority when it came to treatment. The doctor also assured us that it would be quick "in and out by 2:30pm" we are thinking perfect, it was only 2 at the time that's quick. We get there with this document for my son's health with a fat stamp that says STAT in multiple areas. No receptionist at the desk so we waited for someone to walk out to let them know we were sent to them by the doctor and were instructed to tell them it was STAT and we should be treated immediately. Come to find out they don't do that, appointments hold priority and but we would be seen before a walk in. Mind you we didn't know we would be doing this or we would have booked an appointment. We continue to wait finally a young lady comes out and explains to us we were probably going to be there until they close at 4pm. Yikes I'm thinking, son's crying because he's hungry, I'm over here putting blankets over my wife so she can feed our son. (I totally understand this comes with having a newborn) That honestly doesn't matter but I wanted to rant a little. Rachel comes in and sees us, we were having trouble drawing blood from our son. In the end it wasn't enough and we were told to come back in the morning, once again as a STAT. I ask "why as a STAT we waited two hours today," in my mind thinking an appointment would probably be quicker. However keep in mind Rachel assured us that she was so sorry and she would let Ricardo and Kristy the doctors on shift this morning know we were coming and that they would see us quickly, so we came at 6am as suggested. Terrible idea, we get here and Ricardo is oblivious to anything we are talking about. We use the "STAT" line again and of course this is when I hear STAT isn't a priority for the second time. Appointments coming in left and right, we walk in and 4 people are there as well all appointments and you're telling me we have to wait with our 3 day old son, come on. Rachel, I asked you what would be the difference and like I said you assured me you would let them know and it would go differently. We were able to schedule an appointment at a location down the road last minute at 6:30am for 7am, thank god! Walk in is not the way to go and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone besides the visit not being productive at all and a complete waste of time, if you do need some blood work done even if it's last minute you should definitely check those available times and potentially other locations! Regardless of what Rachel says or whoever you speak to book an appointment! DO NOT RELY ON STAT! read more

Efficiency at the Cost of Humanity This facility is the definition of efficiency at the cost of humanity. If you are technologically impaired, need help checking in, or have questions of any type, you're out of luck. There is literally no one there to help you. The waiting area consists of a dozen or so chairs and two check-in tablets. By their "I don't care" attitude, it's plainly obvious to see that the phlebotomists working there are overworked, understaffed, and ignored by whoever runs the place. The management has pushed them to the point where they no longer see patients as people so much as veins to have needles inserted into and moved on as quickly as possible. If I had a choice to go somewhere else, I would happily allow whomever owns the Jefferson branch of Quest Diagnostics to go permanently out of business. read more

Checked in at 10:05 on a Saturday for my 10:10 appointment and was called back at 10:07, done by 10:15. Very good experience. There was a full waiting room when I walked in so I was nervous about the wait time. The phlebotomist said most people don't have appointments. Unfortunately, it was mainly older people who probably couldn't figure out the online system :/ The phlebotomist was very kind, quick, and efficient. I will also note my ID wasn't checked but I was asked my name and birthday. read more

The staff does the best they can do without a receptionist. What a way to make patients feel like nothing but a number. I spent my entire waiting time helping other people especially older people who are not tech savvy. Not every appointment is seamless, some accidentally cancel their appt on the text with the link to check in ahead of time it's very easy to do, the button is green on the check in text. This happened and there's no way to talk to anyone unless you stand up and try to stop one of the techs while they are taking the next barn animal. It's awful, I'm over it! Went there today and got on standby list. Everything great until nurse ratchet called me in. It happens that I was waiting on a call back from insurance agent. Answered call and she immediately in loud voice tells me to hangup phone or I was going to have to leave. I told here it was an important call after I hung telling agent I would have to call him back. She said I was talking to an automated system. Oh OK so now I'm a liar ? Anyways maybe she was having a bad day after a night out of heavy drinking , and being turned down on the dance floor. Next time I will go to my regular Quest. If you think the CA DMV is bad... wait until you need some type of lab work done. The absolute worst!! Staff is extremely rude, check-in process is terrible, ratio for being seen (walk-in vs appointment) is way off! No one is up front to ask general question or assist with the check-in process. "IF" you happen to get the attention of one of the few workers, that are standing around doing nothing but ignoring the walk-in patients, they may give you the answer you're looking for. But chances are, you'll get the "use the kiosk" general statement. If you do not have an appointment, you need to sign in on the kiosk "express check in". Scan your ID, and when it tells you "there are no appointments left today do you want to check another location" SELECT NO. This will take you to the add me to the "STAND BY LIST". 99% of the patients come here with just an order, not an appointment. I would recommend coming at 6a to get this done or you will be sitting/waiting for hours! read more

This office uses high technology in the appointment and check in process. If you follow it, I think you won't be waiting a long time at the office. I scheduled my MIL's appointment using my mobile phone at questdiagnostics.com . From there, they got my contact number which they used to send me the link I needed to click when we arrive to check in. When we arrived, I clicked on the link they sent me. I think it asked me if my MIL was at the office( not sure exactly what the question was but it was easy)When it understood that MIL was at the the office, her name was shown on the TV screen of the office, showing where she was at the queue. Not long after that, she was called by the friendly phlebotomist, Caitlyn. She's really nice, patient and very good in taking blood samples. There's no one at the front desk so if you're looking for someone to talk to there, you won't find any. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! The staff is TERRIBLE. RUDE, MEAN and will IGNORE you. Great staff at the one off Hwy 79. My 18 yr old daughter went to this Jefferson location today at 11:15 this morning as a walk in. She was fasting and needed several labs drawn for multiple things ordered by her Dr. The check in kiosk machine said "30-60 min wait" after an hour and ten minutes she went to inquire about the wait. After the staff visibly seeing her standing there and ignoring for over 10 minutes a blonde woman (I think her name might have been Evelyn) came up and was rude to my daughter. Spoke to her like she was stupid in a condescending and disgusted manner repeating herself that they "prioritize all appointments over walk ins" and told my daughter she'd have to wait for all appointments to be taken care of first. When my daughter asked for clarification if that meant she could be waiting all day she continued to speak to my daughter like she was stupid and continued repeating herself saying the same thing over and over that they "prioritize appointments" and that if my daughter wanted to be seen "she should make an appointment". When my daughter asked for her help to make an appointment, she pointed at a piece of paper on the counter and walked away, My daughter was so upset that she text me for help and I left work to go down there. Not shocked that when I walked in and stood at the front desk clearly looking like I needed help the same blonde woman looked at me speaking to my daughter and gave me a dirty look and then proceeded to walk down the hall and ignore me. I stood there for 8 minutes while various workers looked directly at me and not one of them bothered to greet me or ask if I needed help, Finally a nice woman named Yvonne came up and assisted us and answered our questions and told us how to make an appointment. Being at a medical facility is stressful and can be scary. It's imperative that healthcare officials possess empathy and compassion and are helpful in assisting patients.....especially young ones like my 18 yr old daughter who need guidance in these situations. This facility and that blonde woman made the situation in its entirety an absolute horrible experience for my daughter. I don't who she thinks she is treating a patient, let alone a young girl like that......absolutely disgusting and she should be ashamed of herself! I would give this facility -5 stars if it was an option. I see that several others reviews sadly share the same opinion. Quest has been nothing but spot on every time I've been here. I always come with an appointment and they get me in as soon as they can. I'm waiting now, let's see how long it takes. I scheduled a drug testing appointment as a requirement for a new job. Appointment was scheduled for 2:30pm. I evidently read the clock incorrectly upon leaving the house, because I thought it said 1:55 instead of 12:55. I got to the testing center at 1:15. Oops...my bad. I guess I'll wait it out. While the "How To Check Yourself In" video is looping in the background, I watch several come in for scheduled appointments before mine...get served, and leave. The video keeps telling us that "while appointments aren't necessary, they are suggested, as we prioritize appointments over walk-ins." One after one, walk-ins come through, check in, and get served between the scheduled appointments. 1:30 passes by. The waiting room clears out. Five minutes later more walk-ins come in. More appointments. So far my bad time planning and early bird attitude isn't paying off. More scheduled appointments. Helped. Leave. More walk-ins. Helped. Leave. 2:00 passes. Beginning to wonder if I'm just a ghost at this point. I ask one of the technicians as they assist a walk-in who arrived about 5 minutes prior..."How do all of these walk-ins get in before me when I've been here for an hour?" "Oh so this is how it works...we will take the walk-ins between scheduled appointments so they don't have to wait all day. We will see you at the time of your scheduled appointment. Make an appointment before you come. You'll be substantially less stressed. I had a 6:30am appointment, and this place already had about 10 people in line. The address drops you at the front of the building, but be sure to follow it around to the back. There's not any privacy since you sit in an open facing room so everyone that walks by and peak in to see. I also would have preferred to receive a CC'd version of my lab results, but they only send to the requesting provider. read more

Doctor sent over order for blood draw on September 4, made appointment for September 8, arrived early and checked in, nobody came out to tell me they hadn't received the order, and waited until it was my turn to tell me, allowing only 10 minutes to resolve the issue with my doctors office. contacted Doctors office and they confirmed they sent it electronically on Sept 4th, requested they fax it over to the number provided by the technician, they confirmed they did, tech stated she didn't receive it and moved on to the next patient as she blamed my doctors office, a office that has sent orders to this location over the last 10 years without a hiccup until todays fiasco......Having fasted for this blood draw for 12 hours and dealing with the heat was the last straw, told the tech I will NEVER go back. obviously the issue isn't the doctors office, but Quests communication system, where the customer is never right and treated poorly in these instances. read more

It was an awful experience so I left. I am disappointed at the medical services so far in Temecula. It was very different in San Diego. Went in as a walk in for my 9 year old got there early because she hadn't eaten since the night before and after two hrs of waiting we were helped by someone named Gloria so she says she asked for my paper work from our doctor which I only had on my phone and she told me I could email it to her and wrote down an email address for me that I tried four times before she got irritated with me and told me that I have five mins to get it emailed or I'd have to come back. A few mins later she came out to the waiting room and said times up. I pleaded with her and asked her to check again and she says I already checked twice. After a few more mins she came out and said to my daughter and I that we can leave. Finally I talked to a happy smiling lady and I told her the situation and asked if the email provided to me was their email and she said no where did you get that? Anyways she was nice enough to give us the right email got it sent in to her and was seen a few mins later. I made an appt for 12:30 pm on Monday. Got there 10 minutes to allow for check in time Lobby was overflowing with people. Announcement board said serving 1 with 33 waiting in lobby. Most people had a pre scheduled appt and had been waiting over 1 1/2 hrs past their appt time. Guess quest can't figure out that they have an appt issue. I received no text messages indicating appts were running late. They do not seem at all concerned about people's time. I only have a one star for this review because at least the kiosk was working for the check in process. read more
