This was a weird one, as I never actually hired him. Had a washer that was flooding my laundry room, called Quick but he preferred to text me back and wouldn't answer the phone. Fine. So I texted him and explained what I observed the machine doing. Didn't hear back for a couple days. Texted him again, and he immediately tells me it needs a new transmission, at a repair cost of $900. Wait . . . what!? You could tell that's what it was without ever seeing it and ZERO diagnosis. That felt either 1. Shady or 2. The Go Away Price as I'm not interested in doing the repair. Did some more research, purchased a $12.00 water pressure switch, that essentially tells the computer when the tub was full and to stop adding water, and 15 minutes worth of work. Poor Warranty /Service from Quick Appliances Inc. On December 22, 2025, Quick Appliances Inc. delivered a used washer and dryer donated by a local Church. The delivery driver stated it came with a standard four-month warranty but provided no paperwork. Delivery was delayed several weeks due to staffing shortages, but setup proceeded without incident initially. On February 3, 2026, the dryer stopped rotating and made a loud noise. I notified the owner via text; he attempted remote troubleshooting, which proved ineffective despite my efforts, limited by my disability. The owner visited, diagnosed a broken belt, and attributed it to customer misuse without evidence, despite my 40+ years of appliance experience. About a week later, the dryer failed again. Roughly two weeks after that, the washer stopped agitating. My research and discussions with other repairmen indicate multiple potential causes for recurring belt failures beyond user error. When I invoked the warranty and questioned appliance integrity, the owner became rude, called me a bully, questioned my reporting timeline (explaining his prior statement that further dryer issues would be my responsibility), refused further service (per texts requiring church contact first), and declined to inspect the washer to rule out user error, despite my ownership. The owner blamed my household use (including children).Both units remain non-functional and under warranty. We are unable to use either of the appliances and with less than a week left on the warranty, it suggests an intent to delay until it expires. I was recommended this place after moving to Tallahassee. I didn't want to spend too much money on a washer and dryer, so I drove by there. Looked around and couldn't find an entrance. It looked like a big junk yard to me, so we left because it seemed way too sketchy there. Saw another ad on the marketplace and contacted Marshall who was suuper friendly and helpful. So I was like, ok. let's give this another shot. Drove by there and made my way through to the show room. Found sth really nice and newer and they delivered on the day of purchase. Haven't had any issues yet, dryer showed error, but that was our vent being blocked with lint from previous homeowners. Vent was cleaned. No more errors. So, yes I can recommend this place if you want to save some $$. read more

Absolute clowns running this business. I scheduled them to come on a Thursday, no one showed up or called me between the 4 hours I set aside for them to come by. We reschedule for the weekend; the individual isn't at my house for more than 20 mins, says everything is fine and then left. Washer and dryer still broken. When I called them questioning why my appliances are still broken, the guy plays victim saying he feels insulted. Felt like I was dealing with a distressed teenager. Bought a washer dryer set for around 500. Was happy until I used. Dryer takes 2 cycles to dry clothes. Thought no problem have a, warranty. Nasty older man came to my house was extremely rude and yelled at me about how it works fine. Should have replaced it if he couldn't fix it. This is a rip off. Had to ask him to leave my home because he was being so argumentative and angry. I just wanted working equipment that I paid allot of money for. Would never do business or recommend. Totally horrible. Still have a half working dryer and I can't call even though its under warranty because he just screams at you and refuses to honor warranty. read more

Quick Appliances is wonderful. It came recommended by a friend, who warned me that the place looks a little sketchy but is actually great, and I was not disappointed! While I was a little nervous walking through a maze of appliances leading up to the door, I was greeted by Marshall et al. who were very friendly and helpful. Although they were a bit short-stocked on washers and dryers since I went in mid-August in the midst of FSU/FAMU move-in (my mistake), I still found a great set for about $600 with 4-month warranty and cheap delivery/installation. These are the most modern washer and dryer I've ever had, and they work great. Installation was tough since I've got a very narrow staircase up to my second-story apartment and it was pouring, but the guys did a great job. I can't recommend this place enough. Very professional, honest, and communicative workers and high-quality machines. read more

Buyer Beware! Appliance Discounters does NOT honor their warranties. After getting the run around for a month and having an appliance that didn't work correctly from day one we had to purchase a $150 part for our appliance ourselves and pay for the labor to have it fixed. Chris wouldn't return our phone calls and we had to start calling from different numbers just to get him to answer the phone. He finally told us they were not going to honor their warranty and we had to fix it ourselves. read more

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS!!! Worst experience ever. If I could give them zero stars, I would. The man came out to look at a problem with a dryer and a refrigerator. He had a bad attitude as soon as he came through my front door. He asked questions but wouldn't give me time to even answer before interrupting me. He consistently over-talked me until I got tired of it and told him I didn't like his attitude. Then an argument ensued and he said in a very condescending manner "ma'am, I am only going to explain this to you one more time". When I asked him to stop talking to me like I am a child, he walked out and slammed my door. He fixed nothing, by the way. Customers would do better to spend their money elsewhere. read more

Tim Quick the owner of this establishment also has rental property. He is a terrible bully to his female tenants. His properties have mold issues, appliance repair issues, and he will refuse to make any repair to his rentals choosing to bully and if that doesn't work to shut them up, he will try to evict timely paying tenants for talking back to him and insisting on his fixing leaks in his own properties. He has a horribly unprofessional manner about them and he is especially snarky to women. He is prone to renting to young women and bullying them when they ask him to fix a water heater leaking and creating mold issues or to fix a broken stove that doesn't work very well. I checked him out via the Tallahassee grapevine after the fact and the fact he has been around awhile and his business is in the poorer neighborhoods and very disorganized from what I saw. He is well known for being an angry and pushy man. He isn't a good family man either from some of the things I heard about him locally. He has no business being in a service industry given his poor business practices. Use him at your own risk. WOMEN, DON'T use him as a repairman or rent any of his properties because he will talk down to you and attempt to bully you. read more

Absolutely horrible service to work with. Gave a 3 hour window (which is fine took the after noon off from work)..... about 15 minutes after the window called main office, and was told they would get back to me, since the technician had not arrived for the repair. 5:45 called them since they didn't return my call after an hour. Was told the technician went to the wrong apartment and instead of 1) Verifying the person/location against the ticket or 2) confirming the person he was speaking to matched the ticket, apparent instead they just left when my neighbor confused said no they didn't want any repairs or services. What a joke of a technician. When asked if they could possibly come out this evening and rectify the error (since we have jobs and don't have 3 hour windows every day to wait around) they said no and it wasn't their fault that their scheduler put the wrong apartment on the ticket, their technician didn't call ahead to say he was coming, their technician didn't verify the name on the ticket, their technician didn't question anyone and just went on his way. A joke company ran by fools. If a mistake is made fix it and apologize don't blame the customer for your companies/employees mistakes. read more
