I was looking for a shop that had experience with this engine before. Spoke to someone on phone that said that they worked on quite a few, but that his "2.8 guy" was out on maternity leave. Told him that was fine, as I still had 10,000miles before the service needed to be done, so I was happy to get a quote and get on the wait list for when he was back. He sent me a text with a form to fill out for the quote, filled it out, then radio silence for months. Called at the end of summer. my truck is now 5,000 miles from needing the service done. "well, we're really backed up in the shop". OK, do you want my business or not? I still have time before I need it done, and I'm happy to wait because I want the service done by someone experienced with this engine. He again sends me the form. I fill it out again. Nothing. November rolls around, and now I need the work done. At the beginning of December, I decide to physically go into the office to see if they can just quote on the spot and I can get on the schedule. Spoke with a woman and explained everything that had happened up to this point. She finds my info in their system, verifies my contact info, and assures me that she'll get back to me on Monday with a quote. Nothing Another week and a half go by. I again call, and speak to a guy who tells me he's in the middle of working on quotes, he saw mine, and to expect the quote in a day or 2. Now its been another week and still nothing. Not sure how one is even supposed to do business with this shop if they can't even give you a quote on repairs. Absolutely ridiculous!
