The airbag light notification has come on in my car; my 2017 Subaru has leather heated seats, and after looking up the recall on the airbag sensor, I called Sommer Subaru immediately to have it serviced. She said my vin number doesn't have an open recall, but how many people have their airbag light suddenly come on at 100mi one summer, when the car is sitting in direct sunlight? It has been two weeks since their switchboard girl took our call, and they have not called us back. I'm almost POSITIVE it is so they don't have to replace, due to the KNOWN airbag sensor issue AND recall in models like mine. I would like Subaru to take responsibility for this replacement - as it IS a known Subaru issue, but their lack of attention to such a serious issue, which could cause death in the event of an accident due to the airbag failing to pop, seems like a pretty serious concern. I also was looking to get my CD player replaced, as I bought the car used and it doesn't work. I'll be taking my money elsewhere for the CD player.

I've moved all my business dealings local since March 2020 due to COVID-19. I decided that keeping my money in my community was important to me. I wanted the local businesses to feel supported and stay healthy during the pandemic. The last thing I want to see, in my community, v is a bunch of boarded up abandoned businesses that went bankrupt for lack of support. My motto has become, "shop where I live!" I try to limit my spending to my County, my zip code, my City, and places where I can't easily walk. It's actually been kind of fun! This place fits all the criteria! The people at this shop are amazing! When a car wash broke my heating vent and the dealership wanted a ridiculous amount of money to repair it, these folks helped me out by finding a used part and saving me some money! I was so grateful! Little things means a lot to me. They've helped me out with other things. Air in my "suddenly" flattening tires. Oil changes when the service light went on and my appointment was later in the day than I could handle! They even called me to apologize for a customer they perceived had harassed me (he hadn't)! What chivalry!!!! I am amazed at the quality of service here! It really just blows my mind! Even the shop dog, Luna, greets you at the door as if she knows to make sure you feel valued! I highly recommend this shop! It's classy! It's classic!! It's got class!!! Just go see for yourself! Say hi to Luna!

When I arrived home, I was greeted by Tony (one of the owners). They had accidentally forgot to install the new windshield wipers. They had called, left a message and when I didn't call back, drove over to complete the service. I will tell everyone who will listen about Quick Care.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RICK'S CAR CARE!!!…read more I was visiting from California for the weekend when I discovered a nail in the tire of my rental car. The rental company wanted to charge me for a tow and a full tire replacement, talk about stressful! It was a Saturday and most shops were either closed or too far away. I found Rick's Car Care on Yelp and saw they were listed as open until noon. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door saying they were actually closed on Saturdays. I decided to knock anyway, and I'm so glad I did! To my surprise, a gentleman named Jimmi answered the door. After I explained the situation, he graciously offered to take a look at my tire, despite being closed for the day. He quickly assessed the damage and was able to fix it with a simple plug. Not only did Jimmi go out of his way to help me, but he also treated me fairly and didn't try to overcharge me just because I was from out of town. The whole repair was fast, VERY affordable, and I was back on the road in under 10 minutes. Jimmi was an absolute lifesaver! His kindness and willingness to help a stranger truly made my day. Thank you again, Jimmi! I won't forget it!

When I went to pick up my car, I was told a different final price and he said it was due to taxes. Even factoring in the sales tax, the final total was $20 over what it should have been. This place apparently likes to change the final cost from the other reviews submitted. Very disappointed. I thought I found a good place to go to for car repairs but I guess not.

Sadly, I have to give one star. My son has a 2017 Ford escape. His transmission was slipping and a…read morewarning light came on in the dash that said it needed immediate attention. The car has 80k miles on it. I suggested that he take it to GB Ford in Thiensville to get an estimate. They told him it would be $190 for them to diagnose. Their estimate came back with multiple up-sales (which is to be expected). They told him that he needed a new transmission and with that including the up-sales the estimate was $9000! The itemization of the transmission replacement was never provided. I assume it was around $4000 because the up-sales were itemized and they added up to be almost $5000. Included in the estimate were four new tires, front end alignment, front and rear brake rotor and pad replacement (they indicated the rear brake pads were worn to less than 3mm which they were), and replacing the turbo charger among other things. They claimed they took a sample of the transmission fluid and determined that it was burnt and had metal in it. My son could not afford all these repairs. He asked me to pick the car up as he had to work. I paid $211 for the estimate and drove the car home. I decided to tackle the repairs myself. After draining and filtering the transmission fluid I discovered that the fluid did not have any metal in it. It did smell burned and the quantity was a little over a quart low. After draining and refilling the transmission fluid 3 times and bringing it to operating temperature each time it worked great. No more slipping or warnings. I replaced the rear brakes and when I went to change the front brakes I discovered the pads had more than 50% wear left so I did not replace them. The car is running and driving like it always has. My complaint is that GB Ford was more interested in up-selling than focusing on the transmission. Maybe they aren't willing to deal with repairing transmissions that might or might not have anything wrong with them other than needing a fluid flush. Beware of up-sales.
