Everything is made fresh, and to order at K&S Italian specialties. I wound up buying their pasta salad, fresh Italian bread, imported dry pasta and cookies. This place was busy and I saw many people ordering their different types of sandwiches which are large. I love that they have a sandwich with chicken cutlet, broccoli rabe and fresh mozzarella. They make all different kinds of pasta dishes and they do catering too. As I walked around I noticed they have wonderful imported soppressatas, ( dry cured salami's) fresh pastas,and dry pastas, imported olive oils, balsamic's , Italian cookies, delicious Italian breads. When you walk in, they have various goods (e.g., olive oil, pasta) on the right wall and the meat and cheese cases on the left. There were several workers behind the counter so I did not have to wait long to place my order. I ordered the sub with lettuce, tomato, onion, oil and vinegar. It's normally a 20 minute drive home but because of the rain, it took nearly 30. When we got home, the sub was not soaked to the point where the bread was falling apart, which shows they add just enough and the bread is sturdy. It was just as good as I remember it. I wish I could find someplace similar closer to home but don't mind the drive back to K&S.

The shoppe is well laid out- once you walk in, sweets to the right, savory to the left. Service is efficient and professional. Prices may be higher than some expect, but we've found it worth it for their selection of what we like. Have not yet tried their prepared foods. There is no seating, so this is a grab and go place. Traffic can be a bear depending what time of day you go there - but if they have what you want, it's totally worth it. We'll be back...(over and over again!)
