There was a time I would have definitely given a five. I've been a customer for about three years and brought a lot of friends along. In the last month I have bought two mods and two tanks from them. They used to be so responsive and knowledgeable if you had a problem. Now I call and talk to somebody who was probably in kindergarten while I was rapping Kanthal. Instead of fixing the issue wants to talk about user error. The time before that I had a problem with a new tank leaking the day after I bought it. I called and said I couldn't make it in Tell The Weeknd. When I arrived that weekend I was basically told I was on my own. The employee refused to wrap batteries. Their selection of juice is nonexistent compared to what it used to be. The prices change every time I'm there now and the selection has really suffered. But first has been the customer service. There is none .Pat their owner is a great guy and has helped me numerous times in the past. But if he could get someone who could tell me what the TC are setting means. Maybe take a look at the leaking tank. Maybe replace the battery that went out the first time I put it into a new mod. Like instantly. Please Pat I hope you read this because I have tried to stay loyal I don't live near the store anymore but I still go there. I'm not sure how much longer. $200 is a lot to spend in a two-week period. And not be able to comfortably Vape. The permanent juice stain on my couch put me out $1,000 unless I want to keep a oil stained couch. I don't expect anybody to pay for that but when I said what had happened I was told I must have set my wattage too low. When I mentioned the fact that I should be able to lay my vape down sideways and not worry about a puddle of juice was there an offer to me to see if maybe we could stop the leaking. No.. Learn the mods learn the tanks. Be more than a cashier. The coils are rated by their ohms for a reason. I don't want to what wattage wattage I need to run. Make sense? Bait and switch shop Stopped in last weekend, was going to buy a battery and protank mini. Was told the battery was $25, $15 for the tank. Decided to purchase both items for my girlfriend. Went to check out, oh, sorry, the tank is $29.95. Then was later asked if I wanted to the "care kit." I asked what was in the care kit and was told a case, usb charger and wall adapter. I replied "Doesn't the battery include a charger?" Was told no. Should have been told from the beginning that the battery did not include the charger. That kit was another $15 to $20 or so. I also asked if they had the protank 2, was told they did, proceeded to show me a protank 1 and said it was the 2. Difference is, the 2 has a removable drip tip, the 1 does not. Now, that $30, non adjustable voltage battery is $40, the $15 tank is now $30, + the cost of juice. Total price, with 15% discount came up to almost $80. Needless to say, I told them where to stick it. Save yourselves the time and MONEY. You can get the Vision Spinner adjustable voltage, 1300 mAh battery for around $20 on line, with charger, and the protank mini for around $15. I got a complete kit, the1300mAh battery and a protank 2 (bigger than the mini obviously) with charger and carry case for $48, free shipping. I have only been to one shop so far for juice, but there are others around. Online I researched Rino Vapes, Pirate Vapors, Freakys, The Vapor Shop, and a couple others. Rino Vapes is the only one I found that sells multiple brands of juice AND you can sample the flavors. In the near future I plan to visit Pirate Vapors and The Vapor Shop. And NO, I am NOT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM AFFILIATED WITH ANY OF THE SHOPS I HAVE MENTIONED!!! Just a customer in search of a FAIR value that High-Voltage DOES NOT GIVE! read more

This place is a joke...and the people who work here are life-drop outs in general...and dont know what they have in stock or how to give specific help with a majority of the vaporizers they sell. In addition to poor employees, high voltage is always out of stock on 3k amh batteries, silicon cases and kangertech accessories (im not even sure why they bother to sell the stuff), in addition to ONLY selling 80/20 vgpg solutions. Basically i shop here is for easy and time saving purchases of atomizers...thats it. Everything is outsourced to the web. I was skeptical, but stopped in here to support local business... Boy, I should have listened to the other reviewer! I swung by after leaving Vapor Lake, which is only a few blocks away, and I'm sorry that I did. Prices are high and customer service is bad. I gave Vapor Lake 5 stars, and they are SO close, I don't know why anyone would choose High-Voltage Vapes of the two.. I bought a tank the day I was in, but was also in the market for a new battery mod. At the time I went in, the Innokin iTaste vv/vw was on sale, and priced fairly competitively. I decided that I wanted it, but had to wait on a paycheck. I ended up calling a few days later, and was informed that they were expecting a new shipment. I gave my name and number to be notified when it came in, and so that they could hold a specific color for me. Well over a week later no one called. I went in for a second time and they were there. Wonder where my name and number went?! So I had an issue with my tank, the plastic etched, and was gunked up. I've done my research, and did not use citrus or cinnamon/hot e-juice. I also tried to troubleshoot this issue on my own before going back in. When I brought the tank in (about a week after purchase), I was told nothing could be done, even though I was careful not to put certain flavors in, because I didn't use their e-liquid, and it wasn't within the "48 hour window", I was just S.O.L. So now I'm out $15, and if I keep using the damaged tank might be ingesting plastic/chemicals from that?! If I could have applied the cost of the tank, as credit, toward a new tank in the store, at least I'd have something to use. I can't use High-Voltage e-juice because of the PG in it; I need to use 100% VG. If someone would have told me, or it would have been posted upfront that I needed to use their brand with any tanks purchased, I would have just walked out the door. I'm so disappointed in this place because I do want to help support local business -it's why I stopped in right after I left Vapor Lake. The attitude taken of "not our problem anymore" after you purchase is not something I will be back for more of. Seriously, if you are looking for a vape shop in Aurora, Vapor Lake is the way to go. They have the MOST amazing customer service (detailed in my review for them).. save yourself the headache and $! read more

I have been to multiple vape shops and this is by far the worst.. The staff doesn't seem to care to help me. They just seem like they wanted to get me in and out as fat as possible. I am not a nicotine user and I was very disappointed that the testers had nicotine in them so I couldn't try the flavors. I didn't like that you could see into their juice room where they made the juice out the fact that they didn't wear gloves, which is a huge hazard as some people have nicotine allergies. They also told me that I couldn't buy a specific drip tip because it wouldn't fit my tank even though I found it somewhere else and it fit just fine. Three people working. Two were busy/bullshitting. NO ONE would even look at us or say hello; much less explain anything to us, or offer a menu. The bottles are so far back they're hard to read and as we all know, many have crazy names that don't explain the flavor anyhow. It was grimey feeling inside. Kinda dark. Being female, I didn't like that. But I could have gotten over it or maybe it would have felt less so if anyone even just had a smile inside the shop much less acknowledged us. Not friendly at all. Walked out with still no one muttering a word to us. I had $550 to spend also for a new vape. They're loss. I wondered why they had so many deals and now I know why. Customer retention would be hard if your employees can't even say hi to keep the customers in your shop. Very frustrating experience. I'd been dying to go check this place out for weeks. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews in here. I think this place is great. I have been coming here for about 4-5 months - since the place I used to go to was only open 3 days a week, was so far away, and it was always rushed because there was always a line - and each time there is a welcomed change. They are always adding more choices to their eJuice selection and their prices are very reasonable. I believe just recently they actually lowered them. There was one time that I suggested an eJuice and the next time I went in, they had it. Needless to say, I make sure I buy that eJuice each time I go in. I have tried other shops and just receive very crappy service. The people here are always friendly and always manage to up-sell me. I recommend this place 100%. read more

I just stopped by this morning to browse new devices. I have been vaping for 6 years and I have tried many products. The rep I worked with at the store was extremely helpful. He showed me a few devices and even did some research with me for a new tank to fit an older device I have. I ended up picking up the new eGo AIO. I got it all set up when I got home and it vapes beautifully! Liquid loads from the top and is designed to prevent leakage, which is a problem with most tanks. There is also an LED light that lights up the tank while you vape and you can select the color. Very cool device, very simple to use, very cool store. Thanks High Voltage! read more

Great inventory of products at low prices. I was a regular at Vapor Lake for about 8 months, purchasing mostly hardware, before someone at work told me about High Voltage Vapes. I found the juices had better taste and provide more vapor. Before I discovered this store I used to order most my juices from Volcano E-cigs but haven't ordered from them since. It's not that HVV juices are better than Volcano E-cigs juices, it because HVV saves me money. Also I want to comment on another review. Increasing nicotine content will change the taste. I recommend 12 mg (Volcano E-cigs calls this "Full Flavor" ) or lower. Overall this is the best vape store I've patronized. This market is fairly new so the bar is set pretty low. However, HVV is giant step forward in locally owned vape stores. read more
