However, when I inspected the returned lens, the tripod collar was still completely stuck in the exact same condition as when I sent it in. It is impossible to disassemble this lens model without first removing the tripod collar. They never actually opened or worked on the lens--they simply held my equipment hostage after I refused an upcharge. Over $150.00 for nothing. Save yourself the headache and take your gear elsewhere.

(Serviced 06/23/26 TU @ 4:15pm): This depot was strictly for office business!…read more It's been over a decade since I last visited Office Depot's La Crescenta location, but the timing was perfect because I was in the area for a separate reason. With all of the consolidation in the office supplies industry over the past couple of decades, I think the only ones left standing were Office Depot, Staples, and to a lesser extent FedEx, with companies such as Office Max and Kinko's having been absorbed from competitors. I've been making extended copies at my local Staples, but the costs have continuously gone up as they closed in on a dollar a page on heavy-weight paper which I really didn't need. So, I opted to try the competitor in hopes of saving some money. Was I able to deposit some money back into the bank after using this office store from my printing needs!? PURCHASE(S) 8.5"x11" Double-Sided Color Printouts ($0.70 x130): I needed to print a recent summary inspection report for an investment property we acquired to give to our general contractor as a checklist of things to focus on and repair over time. Although the per-page rate was slightly cheaper than what I've experienced, it wasn't that much different to go somewhat out of my way. The printing quality was fine, the speed was a tad slow, but it got the job done. SERVICE At this time, there were only two employees, and I was the only customer. With no salutations from either of them, I easily headed towards the self-service copy center, checked out the machines, read whatever signage there was as to how the machines worked and payment, and then attempted to make copies. Nope; something went wrong! I tried several times on the same machine to no avail. I went to another copier and finally things were working properly. After about ten minutes, my print job was done, I paid at the machine, I asked a young male salesperson for a bag to put my copies in, and I casually walked out the door. For my needs, all of this was fine, but I sorely hoped this wasn't the norm. PARKING (FREE): They had their own private spacious lot - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A large boxy warehouse store filled wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling and multitudes of aisles stocked with a ton of various office supplies of anything you could imagine. There was plenty of space between the aisles, shelves, and floor displays, with a smattering of promotional ads/posters about. Minimal natural lighting came through the large front windows and doors while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There weren't any TVs while I couldn't recall any background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL La Crescenta's Office Depot served its purpose, but for future office service needs, I'll more than likely return to a Staples closer to me. I didn't find much differentiation between the two brands, I had a few Staples closer to me and where I normally was, and this particular location was simply dreadful in feeling like all life was sucked out of it. I walked around, and I saw nothing (even less!) that I couldn't get at Staples. The printing prices may've been slightly less, but it wasn't worth it. And, the service was mostly non-existent and hidden. I found good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $100.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 3.0 STARS

I gave Alex a call on a Friday, set up a time to drop off my 7 tapes the next day on Saturday, and had the transferred files back on a USB flash drive that next Wednesday! The quality was great and Alex was fantastic to work with. He took notes on which tapes had some issues due to age and offered multiple options on how to transfer the near 32GB of files onto the flash drive, including offering the possibility of uploading some of the files onto the OneDrive cloud if they didn't fit on the drive. I have dropped off over 5 boxes of old tapes that needed to be converted and he charged me $10 per video (which is nothing!) as well as uploaded the footage to a Flash Drive for no additional cost. My uncle brought a big ass camcorder to my brother's baptism in 1991, and all of us were fascinated by the camera and had never seen one before. It's the only recording of my brothers and I as children and of my dad who has since passed away. When I started hearing about VHS digitizing services, I was super reluctant to mail the only copy to a stranger, especially after how many stories there are about these people losing photos or videos. I started seeing Z Stories advertise in my neighborhood Facebook groups and with tables at local Burbank events. I loved that they were local, I didn't have to ship my video far away, and the reviews were impeccable. I texted the owner, John, to find out more about their services and he seemed more than happy to take an order of just one tape. He gave me different options for submitting the tape (they even deliver and pick up locally!) and I ended up dropping the tape off at A Express Mail in Burbank, for Z Stories to pick up. When we had tried the tape on our VCR at home, the sound cut in and out and there was static and blue squares over a lot of the picture. I was worried that maybe I'd waited to long to digitize a 35-year-old tape before it deteriorated. John picked the tape up within an hour of me dropping it off and texted me with updates and questions (like whether we wanted to keep the football documentary that had been taped over!) and the finished product was ready within 24 hours! He met me at A Express the next day and seemed excited to show me the finished product on his laptop. I was ASTONISHED at how amazing the video looked. The quality looked even better than I remembered the original video looking in the 90s, and both the picture and sound were crisp and clear. I was completely blown away at how they were able to make the recording look so great. These are experienced professionals who obviously take pride in their work and care very much about helping people to preserve their irreplaceable memories. The total cost was only $17 because they provided a flash drive (if you provide your own, it's only $10.) We are going to use Z Stories to digitize all my in-laws' home movies, and I would wholeheartedly recommend John to anyone.

When I first walked into the studio, it reminded me of the recording studios I grew up going to with my dad when he was producing records 40 years ago. Big, thick, heavy soundproof door. Dimly-lit room. Vintage recording and mixing equipment. Old, black leather couch. Ripped carpet with tape on the floor. Uneven steps. The smell of old vinyl. Mmmmm! I fricken love coming to this place! In fact, I was so lucky to find it. Because the quality of work is so high, that they literally serve all of the classic Hollywood music, film, TV libraries. Literally all of them. At any given moment you can see the names of famous people on the outer cases of tapes laying around waiting to be transferred. All these years later, we're remastering dad's tapes, vinyls and 8-tracks. Round N Wound has all the equipment to do it too. I've used their services 4 times so far and I'm always so surprised at how reasonably priced they are for what we ask them to do. It's really amazing stuff.
