Quick Dry is an excellent company. I had a plumbing leak in my house and they quickly resolved the issues. They contacted all the contractors needed to complete the job including the plumber, the drywall and painting contractor, as well as the contractor to move the furniture in and out of the way for painting purposes. I almost didn't have to lift a finger, except when I helped the plumber just a tad. The only issue I had was the amount I had to pay versus what my homeowner's insurance was willing to pay. Quick Dry was recommended by my plumber who was investigating the source of a water leak in a neighboring unit, thought to be caused by my unit. Quick Dry technician, Samuel, responded promptly and performed his job professionally. Unfortunately, this resulted in what I considered to be excessive and duplicative charges for a non-emergency situation. When I disputed the charges, Quick Dry responded by slightly increasing the charges, stating that the technician had made a mistake by not charging enough. This only added to my frustration. Gloria from billing contacted me to discuss my concerns and, in doing so, showed great sensitivity and a willingness to work with me. She addressed each line item, explained the company's position on areas where we agreed to disagree, and worked diligently to reach a resolution. It started with a leaky garbage disposal that need to be replaced. That leak caused mold and moisture between the walls(not good). Quick Dry was recommended by the plumber. Sergio came out to the property, did his assessment, contacted me and explained every step of the process in a very professional manner. He was able to answer my questions and assured me he informed the tenant of the process of getting rid of the mold, and drying out the area in question. The next day, Robert brought out the dryers and set them up in the areas that were wet or had moisture. Robert explained to the tenant the necessity of the dryers and they would be there 4 days due to the weekend. Both Sergio and Robert showed professionalism, integrity, knowledge of their craft, and their communication skills were excellent. Quick-Dry Flood Services sent three of their technicians to 546 3rd Avenue, in downtown San Diego, at my spouse, Amy's hostel. They arrived at our location pretty fast, & I experienced efficient service by them. The three men were David Lopez, Kevin, & Luis. They brought their equipment to help us to dry our bathroom from water damage, had it set, & started a drying process with proficiency. They were professional, friendly, & courteous. I had used them a couple of years ago and gave them a call after my condo got flooded on 1/22/24. They usually don't charge to do an estimate, but this time, they charged $300. Not only that, but this amount would not go towards the job as other companies do. It would be added to the total. Dave is taking advantage of the flood victims, the uninsured, and the elderly. Do not let them work on your house they prey on the fact that u r in a time sensitive situation and have plumbers in their pocket w kick backs that will call them over.. they charge way over the regular rates in the area and for unnecessary items, so guaranteed the bill will be more than double what your insurance will pay for and they make u sign paperwork before they will start saying u agree to paying whatever they charge even if insurance won't!! I've seen this on many reviews and my contractor warned me as such as well when he asked who was doing my water remediation, so I requested that they get the work and rates approved by my insurance adjuster before they did any work and they assured me they called him .. no such thing was done and now I'm being threatened w a lein on my house if I don't pay double what was covered by my insurance... thousands of dollars just to drop 2 fans off and pick them up 2 days later.. do not let these crooks in your house!! read more

Quick Dry Flood Services came to the rescue when my elderly Mom's toilet malfunctioned during the night flooding the bathroom, hall and her bedroom. Within a very short time the next morning, after being called they were at her home ready to take control of the situation, working very hard to remove the water, carpeting and wet dry wall. They tested for asbestos, mold and explained in detail all of the procedures that were necessary. They were all very friendly, polite and considerate of Mom's furniture and household items, carefully moving them when needed. By their own admission, they do not use the same pricing model as insurers do, and charge an absolutely ludicrous amount for the actual services they provide. Insurers are unwilling to pay it, and rightfully so. Quick Dry will stick you with the difference, even when they are charging thousands more than their competition, rather than settling with your insurance. While they may provide a decent service--the only reason they are getting 2 Stars--you had better buckle up for the inevitable shakedown that will come after they have mediated your flooding as well as the torturous process they will subject you to while they negotiate w/ your insurance company to cover their abusively high, above industry average rates. Their admin and smooth talking negotiator David Weaver is an industry veteran who will talk circles around you. This guy could sell hot dogs to vegans. He is a soft touch sales master who is relentless in trying to advance Quick Dry's interests and will bamboozle you to the point where you will be questioning your own rightful outrage at being stuck with paying the difference between your insurance claim and their hefty bill for their vastly overpriced services. Stay away from these unethical and shamesless company. I suffered a major flood in my house on a Sunday that left my family and I out of our home for 15 months. Quick Dry were the first company to pick up the phone and arrive in my home. When the guy arrived he said it would cost me $17,000 to dry my home. I could not get a hold of my insurance agent and was relying on this company. I was in shock and in total panic mode. They played on my emotions. We finally agreed on $9000 on the job to take out the water. It about 4 hours, they left some machines to dry and promised to return in 3 days. On monday the insurance adjuster arrived and was schocked at the price Quick Dry quoted me. He ordered me to get them out of my home. When I told Quick Dry to pick up their machine they started threatening and telling me that they would put a lean on my home. I said that the insurance company would pay them, they were not happy they couldn't take advantage of me any longer. When they arrived to take the machines away, they put the fear of God in my elderly who are in their 90's. They told my parents they had to sign with them for reconstruction of home, that there would be mold in the whole house and that the insurance company would not pay us if there was mold in the house. That they would be putting a lean on my home. This added to my parents level of stress as they lived with me. I could not believe this unethical company would prey on elderly people. This was clearly elder abuse. It took months for them to accept payment for my insurance company, a price that the insurance company deemed reasonable. This company prey on victims in one of the worse moments of someone life. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! Yelp should have a ZERO star. read more

We had a leak detected early last week, and was referred to Quick Dry by our plumber. I do have to say they were very quick to respond. That is the only positive thing I can say about this business. They came in and we had one dehumidifier in our guest bath, a small high powered fan in our master bath and one hepa air scrubber in our kitchen. When we contacted our insurance and the insurance adjuster (AAA) came out, they were VERY quick to let us know that quick dry charges and EXORBITANT amount for their services. When we had them come remove the machines that were there for less than 72 hours, our bill was over $2500!! I was shocked and saddened to say the least. That is robbery, plain and simple. I looked up other businesses price lists for these machines and Quick Dry charges so much more than other places, it's truly insane. They also never put down anything to protect our floors as they dragged the machines in. When they removed the dehumidifier from our bathroom they left a large puddle of water behind the trailer all the way down our hallway and through our garage. Also, one of the employees was smoking right at the entrance to our garage and our house reeked of smoke after they took the machines. I was so relieved to be referred to ServePro by our insurance adjuster, our experience with them has been STELLAR. I truly think this business takes advantage of people in crisis mode. I had a water emergency at my home while I was away. My neighbor called me and told me she heard water running. Happily my neighbor had my key and went over to turn off the water and start bailing out the kitchen. By the time he got there (only two hours after it started) my kitchen was 2" deep in water and the rest of the ground floor was flooded. I called QuickDry from where I was and they got to my house before I got home. They helped my husband and neighbor complete the mop-up. But then the REAL magic happened. QuickDry arranged flood mitigation and furniture storage for me, services I had not thought of. Everybody came, wrapped up the contents of all the cupboards, furniture, and lamps that needed to be moved out and into a storage cube on my driveway. They set up fans and dehumidifiers. And the bottom 3feet of my drywall and all my flooring on the flooded floor was removed. I guess it was like watching surgery; people who really knew what they were doing were doing it. We just recently had a pipe burst in the laundry room , I needed action ASAP as water was pooling in the laundry room. Plumbing Plus fixed the pipe and recommended Quick Dry Flood Services to dry the wet walls and cabinets.They said it would be about an hour but was actually here within 45 min thank god ! Similar experience to other reviews- DO NOT USE. It's worth taking a few minutes to do research to find a more ethical company. They tried to take advantage of my elderly widowed mother. Final bill was over $3000 for a couple of guys to drop off and pick up some fans for less than 48 total hours. As others noted the final bill was full of duplicative and unnecessary charges-- two 'call out' charges, a dispatch charge, monitoring (which I assume was just for the technician to try and push unnecessary tests etc. on us), fuel charge, material charge (for items like towels, gloves, etc. that I never saw them use), and the best, a Misc. charge over $500-- have no idea what this could entail since they included charges for stuff they didn't even do/use. This appears to be a fancy way to scam insurance companies. Read other reviews. My mother had a minor leak by her laundry room (less than one square foot of dry wall affected and all flooring is tile). The plumber who fixed it called these guys (I assume they have some sort of deal). I drove from LA to my mom's house in Poway to help her out after these guys dropped off the equipment. She is an elderly widow and was overwhelmed by their pushiness- specifically on whether she was going to make an insurance claim, among other things. They left 3 fans and a dehumidifier. Within a day we realized a couple of fans and weren't working. Called them and they said they'd remove charges for two fans. Turns out one of their fans was broken and the other fan and dehumidifier blew the power strip so stopped working-- their technician trouble shot the issue upon pick-up and didn't figure that out- we had a professional look at it who figured it out days later. Bottom line for about 45 hours of equipment use (most of which didn't work) they issued my mom a bill for over $3000. And also tried to tell my elderly widowed mom they had to do asbestos testing if she couldn't provide proof she didn't have asbestos- and tried to tell her she needed to keep their overpriced equipment longer and needed other non-essential testing that would just put more money in their pockets. I'm grateful I could be there to protect my mom from their predatory scams. As others noted, the final bill was filled with ridiculous charges for exorbitant amounts. They did remove fan rental for one fan for one day-- $40. Which didn't even put a dent in the bill with a 'call out' charge of $425 and Misc. charge of $521, among other absurd charges. My mother did not want to report this to insurance, and I told the technician upon removal we did not plan on reporting to insurance (he asked several times). We asked him for a ball park of what the bill would be-- he pulled out a calculator and suggested $800. Imagine our shock when the final bill for $3,129 arrived. Essentially forcing my mother to report to insurance, because even if we could successfully remove the seemingly outlandish charges (doubtful) it would still be quite a bit more than the insurance deductible. Likely the crux of their unethical business practices. read more

I called quick dry after a laundry waste line broke underneath our home. For weeks, we were not aware that our laundry was draining underneath our home until I noticed the foul smell coming from our crawl space. When I called quick dry, they showed up the same day within 3 hours of of my call. The technicians, were professional, courteous, and the price was very reasonable. They started work within the hour and finished in less than 2 hours. They suctioned all the standing water under the house, disinfected sprayed and set up a fan and left it down in my crawl space for 3 days. I would recommend them for flood services.
