Took my Lincoln Aviator in for 'The Works' and when I got home I noticed a scratch mark on one of the wheel center caps. As I looked further I found that three of the four caps were scratched. There is a tool for removing these center caps and person doing the work must not have known this. I got in touch with Scott at Quicklane and he told me to bring the car back. I did this and he took pictures of the marred caps and said that he would be in touch. About a week later I was informed that three new caps were delivered to QL and to stop by. I did and Scott removed the damaged caps and installed the new ones. What I'm saying here is that things happen, and that the resolve of this problem was handled as good as could be. My truck broke down and I sent it up to quick lane. They put a new battery in my truck and told me that my truck was good to go. I took an Uber to get my truck and when I got there they charged me $261.00. I paid and went to my truck and it wouldn't start. They apologized and said they would fix it. They kept my truck for 4 days and never was able to figure out what was wrong with it. Eventually I moved the truck across the street to Ric and Rocky's (literally across the street). Within 3 hours they called and told me I needed a new starter. They also said that the battery that Quick lane sold me wasn't any good. They said it wasn't holding the proper charge. (This battery was new from Quick lane). I had them fix everything and I took the brand new battery back to Quick lane and asked for a refund. They refused. One of the employees started raising his voice towards me. They said that they had my truck for a long time and they were not going to give me a refund. They said the guy's across the street were lying. I told the manager I didn't want his broken battery and I left it with him. They didn't fix my truck. They couldn't even figure out what the problem was. (Starter) They kept the bad battery they sold me. They charged my card $261.00. Ric and Rocky's across the street were very professional. They diagnosed the problem quickly. They fixed it for a reasonable price. My truck is starting fine now. I am in the progress of filling a complaint with the state. Don't trust this place at all! They fixed something on my last vehicle and the problem kept coming back after a short time. Every time they would claim "bad parts". Our latest car, 2016, 50k/miles I was told "older cars start falling apart unfortunately". I've been there 3 times in the past month for them to recheck their work for stuff they already "fixed" because the problem comes back. Very poor. I've been using Quick Lanes since Ford switched to this structure. Over the years I've learned some are much better than others. We walked in 4 minutes late due. They asked for a name and then send they were running late and would be 2:30-2:45 hours. He started the process but after taking a minute I said "that won't work for us. Almost 3 hours with an Appointment?" He said oh you have an appointment that will make a difference ... You asked my name and didn't see it on the list?... But oh well. Then he comes back and says Since you are 5 minutes late we can't honor your appointment? Ok wait so they are backed up 3 hours and the couple of minutes late is enough for you to tell me no appointment? Does that mean if you didn't take me in right on time it was free because you were late? Won't have to worry about returning here. Walked out. read more

They worked extra hard to tires get our specific tires in stock and got us back on the road in no time. They are connected with FORD, so they were able to give us the Ford discount with our pin# and save us the same money as going to the dealership. They also have extended evening hours, unlike the dealerships, which is helpful when you can't pick up until after work. This is not just a "I had a bad experience so I am going to leave a bad review" kind of review. It's an honest one based on MULTIPLE experiences with them. Bottom line is Quick Lane in general is good but this location is slow, they do not have knowledge of most vehicles, they have dishonest employees, and they are a rip off. Let me explain a few issues. -I had a repair done once and they quoted me $1600 for it. It was a basic repair. When I inquired about what the charges consisted of they said they would not tell me. They literally wouldn't tell me what parts I purchased (after I paid), or the individual costs of those parts. Hard to believe right? Ya it's true. They said they do that so we don't go shop around and go elsewhere. Seems pretty shady. Furthermore after getting it done I found out that there was a way to do the same exact thing for only $400. 1/4 the cost. Just by simply bypassing air ride. I asked multiple people and they said that was common knowledge for a Ford dealership to know about Ford cars. -I got an oil change done for family members. When the car was left overnight for that and other repairs we would notice a weird amount of miles on the car. Weird right? Well we also noticed when they pulled the car around from the shop to the front they floored it. -They did not tighten up some bolts on a repair and sure enough the part fell off. When we went back to have them fix they tried to charge us for it. We fought it and they finally admitted they were wrong and replaced it. This literally happened a second time with a different part and yup. It fell off again. Same story. Even tried to charge us for the bolts the second time. There is one last thing that I chose not to mention publicly. Purely because I believe it was a mistake that this person truly felt bad and learned a lesson for. I don't want to throw them under the bus. Bottom line is this quick lane is horribly unprofessional and they do not give a crap about you. The one I go to now in Novi is 100 times better. It's like a completely different world. My advise: Read this and do something about it. Hire ethical employees. And actually give a crap about your customers and the money they spend. read more

Customer service is horrendous, the man working at the counter is rude and the main reason I will never go back there again. I feel like I have been overcharged for services and paid for new lug nuts which seems like a scam for extra money. I went there for an oil change and then noticed engine oil leak with a spot of oil on the ground after several day. There're no any engine oil leak happened before the oil change. I went back and they said nothing wrong from oil change work and asked me to pay additional fee for diagnosis. I went back to the dealership for investigation and dealer said the oil drain plug wasn't put back from the previous oil change and caused the server oil leak. I went back to Quick Lane and they were not even stand for the service they perform. If I didn't notice it, my engine could caused significant damage. Had a tire problem on Christmas Eve morning. I called them around 10:40 and was told they were closing at noon but if I get there quickly they could take care of the problem. I indicated it might be 20 minutes before arriving and he said that would be ok. I arrived, went to the counter and the manager said he was not taking any new customers after 11am since they were closing at noon. Looked to me like they had plenty of Mechanics standing around. I looked at my watch and it was 11:01. Of course they have lost a multi-car, long time customer and a probable tire sale. If I had been told that I needed to arrive by 11, I wouldn't have bothered driving that distance and maybe I could have found another location to take care of my tire problem on Christmas Eve morning. read more

I've been a long time customer and have had up to 4 vehicles at a time serviced here, but the last two times the add on repairs and up charges have just gotten ridiculous. I was quoted $40 labor to replace a battery plus $25 to clean the terminals, when I complained they immediately dropped the price by $20, which tells me they were trying to overcharge me in the first place. Even $45 to replace a battery and clean the terminals is too much. I can't trust their pricing anymore- I'm done. read more

I have been using this location for a couple of years for oil change, tire rotations and other mechanical work. This past Monday I had my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. I was told I needed to replace all my lug nuts as they were swollen and they would have to destroy them to take them off. New lugs nut were $120 dollars, approximately. I took my vehicle home and used a socket to try and duplicate what they had told me. One by one I was able to remove the lug nuts with no damage to them. I talked to the manager and told them their doom and gloom story was untrue and unfair just so they could sell some lug nuts. I have spent over $1100 at this store this past year. I will never bring a vehicle here again. I would encourage all who consider them to go elsewhere. I would give them a zero rating if I could. I feel they try to sneak in unnecessary work. I brought in my Lincoln MKZ for a wheel alignment and tire rotation only. They called back later and told me I had a "bearing problem on one wheel." This would be a job costing north of $300. I told them just do what I asked for. I picked up the car and it had so many new problems, I won't even try to list them all here. I took the car to the dealer and explained. i took it to Hines Park Lincoln. They fixed all the suddenly new problems after Quicklane for no charge. It was a wire problem and it was under warranty. i even got a free loaner car. Why didn't Quick Lane tell me that? Oh yes, and also, the Hines Park Sevice Dept. under Brandon told me that I had no bearing problem. Shame on you Quick Lane in Canton. I hope you go out of business. That will teach you to lie to the wrong customer! I have consulted with a Consumer Protection law firm in Birmingham and Southfield to look into Quick Lane and their practices. If I don't see a dime I don't care. I just want to expose these crooks for who they are. I'll be that their systematic overcharging of customers who just pay without questioning brings them in an extra $200K a year in revenue or more. I would like to see them out of business. read more

I've been going here for years and always provided recommendations to use them as they have been honest and straightforward. Unfortunately, the service has been slipping greatly over the last few years. Most recently I asked them to look at my serpentine belt as I'm hitting about 100K miles soon. They said it was fine. I had my car in for service at a dealer with what I thought could be transmission issues. Found out it was the serpentine belt! I'm pretty sure it didn't wear out that severely in 2 weeks! Terrible service! Terrible employees! I would give a zero if I could. I dropped off my car at the store for oil change in the morning. I came in and picked up the car after work. A male employee did the paperwork and billing process. Everything went well so far. Then I tried to use the keyless control to unlock my car and drive home, but my car was not responding at all. So I used the key opened the door and tried to start the car, but the car was still not responding. There was no engine cranking, no dashboard display. I went back in the store and told the employee the issue. He showed me the result of battery test which they had performed. It showed the battery is OK. We thought it was a battery failure. So he performed a jump start. The car started. In order to ensure it was due to the dead battery, I asked him to do another battery test (I highly suspected they did something wrong to my car cause my car is not old and I had been driving the car without any problem). He told me the new result showed the battery needed to be replaced. Even though I didn't fully trust his saying, I accepted his suggestion of changing the battery. I left my car there overnight for them to do the battery change. In the following day, I went their after work and my car was ready to go. This time I could start my car without problem. However I found out the light above the front row was on. I immediately knew why the car ran out of battery the day before. It was because their staff for some reason turned on the light but forgot turning it off after the service . The light had been turned on for one day so the car ran out of battery (It happened to me once in my garage). I explained to the employee what had happened. But he denied any mistake they had made. He even couldn't explain why the light was on. He insisted that the battery was dead. He didn't try to come up with a solution for it. He was very rude and didn't want to listen to me. I asked him to call his manager to deal with this matter, and he said he is the manager. I didn't want to argue with him any more and left the store. That's totally fine that people make mistake. But their attitude is unacceptable. read more

Went to Quick Lane this past Saturday for an oil change. They told me I needed new windshield wipers. Really? They mentioned this to 6 other people in a matter of just a few minutes. Again really?? I just had new wipers put on 2 months ago. I questioned them about this and they started to stumble on their words. I am not stupid. When I kept pushing them on the reasoning, they said this,"we test the wipers and if there is any smudging we recommend replacing them." I said, 'sometimes if there is a bug or other debris on the windshield, they will smudge." He agreed and said that they recommend replacement even due to bug debris when I said AND HE ADMITTED that cleaning it takes care of the problem in most cases. What an idiot!!!! Be careful. I always get my oil changed from here. They have a sheet they pass out with things that are starting to wear down. I was told one time that I had an oil leak. The next time nothing was marked about oil leak. When I asked about the leak and how it was doing, they told me the car was wet underneath and they could not tell. Mind you it was not raining out nor did I have my car washed. Also, got rear breaks done in May and tires in Sept. After I got my tires done I was told my rear wheel well is rusting out really bad and urgently advised me to go to collision shop, Not sure why this was not noticed when my breaks were done, as when I looked under it was horrible. There are many other suspicious things that have happened now that I look at all my paper work from them. Will no longer be using them. read more

After at least 3-4 years of being a loyal customer, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I feel like things have fell apart since Dave left. Scott is the only good service desk person of all the people they have there now. Recently I've had bad enough experiences to have me go elsewhere for my auto repair needs. I feel like some of the problems on my car have been misdiagnosed. On a recent visit, they told me that the sway bar links were going bad. Scott told me that it could wait before it gets repaired. When I start hearing noises coming from the bottom of my car, I take it back in and this time they say that the control arm/bushings are bad and that the control arm should be replaced. They didn't say anything about the sway bar links being bad this time around. I took it to a nearby competitor for a second opinion/estimate on the work needed and they charged 125 dollars less than what quicklane would've charged for the exact same work. I don't think the problem is Scott I think it's the mechanics not knowing what is wrong with the car. I like Scott and it makes me sad to have to do this but I won't be coming back as a customer. read more
