While cleaning my dusty windows on a sunny Saturday morning, I slid the glass door shut behind me as I stepped onto the lanai and heard an ominous click. Fruitlessly I tried to juggle the door to no avail. And as I looked helplessly through the glass doors, I could see my cell phone sitting on the kitchen counter. Just great. After waving at passing cars and finally capturing the attention of my shocked neighbor below, the site manager arrived two hours later and asked me to throw down my house keys. Well, if I had my keys on me, I could have gotten out two hours earlier. As it was, I used the two hours to clean the windows spotless and get a nice sunburn. So back to Quick Lock, once Les and his partner arrived they took a good 20 minutes to jimmy my front door lock and then walk through the condo to release me from my sunny prison. Both were amazed at the quality of my front door lock, and were incredulous that the lock on my lanai door could have shut because it's not easy to move. I had to explain that my condo was not haunted. The cost... about $70. The relief when I finally could go to the bathroom ... priceless. read more

Needed to be saved from my own stupidity and hastiness! Was rushing around trying to keep on schedule and locked my keys in my truck. My friend was locked out of her apartment on the weekend, meaning no on-site manager for assistance. After calling the recommended locksmiths (who all averaged $100), I used yelp to find these guys. If you are in need of a good, friendly, and extremely prompt locksmith, go with Quick Lock. The bill came out to $75 with professional, friendly service (which is a great attribute considering how aggravating the situation can be). We called around noon on a Sunday, and Les the locksmith was there in 15 minutes. My friend has a regular lock and a deadbolt. Les had the door open in 3 minutes tops. Wow, I'm very pleased with my experience with this company. The driver's side door's lock jammed so I called Quick Lock and the guy arranged to meet me in half an hour from then, nearby. He showed up on time and got crackin'. Since my car is quite old, it took him longer than he'd projected though he was able to show me the reasons why. All in all, it took twice as long and took twice as much effort as he'd thought it would, but all I owed him was the original quoted amount: $60. He even gave me some parting tips on how to extend the remaining lifespan of my door locks. Awesome! Note: the old guy seemed to charge me less after realizing I could meet him close by thus he wouldnt have to drive far. Which makes me think that for non-urgent work on locks, next time I may try just asking him to call me when he happens to be nearby since then the price would be less. read more

Christmas Eve 2016- I got locked in my apartment as I was leaving to attend a dinner. The latch of my deadbolt locked cracked and my resident manager couldn't do anything about it since it was a holiday weekend. I called different locksmiths and thankfully, Les from QuickLock could help. I called him around 630pm and he was at my building a little before 7pm. Super fast. Aloha. I noticed that the business replied to my review and I'd definitely like to clarify. The person who helped us only helped my husband up through our window AFTER I used my own body to lift and hold my husband up to wiggle the window loose. I would've been perfectly happy helping my husband through the window with MY BODY AGAIN but your locksmith INSISTED, after we continually asked him to continue trying to get the door open and saying that he was stronger than I am. And he never actually got our door open. I can also confirm that he did NOT ask if we were both happy with our service. I went directly into the house after my husband broke in and didn't come back out because I was annoyed and did not speak to your locksmith again. My husband also confirmed that he did not ask him if he was happy with the service. Additionally, on the phone you said that you cost a flat rate of $70 to come to our house and then a final rate of "about $100" for your locksmith's time, which I assumed we'd be paying less of because WE LITERALLY BROKE INTO OUR OWN WINDOW. Additionally, if the extra charge was for time I'm especially frustrated because it would have taken a lot less time if your locksmith didn't stop every 5 minutes to make a joke to us. Also, he didn't bring all of his tools with him and when he couldn't get our door open he said he'd have to go get more tools from his car, which I'm assuming would've taken more time and cost more money. This was the point I decided to try to get into the window on my own. I understand that it was a Sunday and Morher's day, you left technician actually made a joke about other companies charging less and not understanding why, which I found inappropriate. The issue was not the original quote, it's that the quote was for a service that did not happen. I will not be changing my rating or review, for these reasons. I was not happy with our service, or lack thereof. He did not get into our locked door, which is why we called a locksmith. Additionally, yelp is used as a tool to be honest with the public, not to be misleading. If you check my yelp reviews they're mostly positive. I very rarely give out 1 stars. I feel yelp is a tool used by people to give their honest opinions about services they've received. If you don't feel that way, that's not my problem. read more
