Great Staff (2 stars), Good Prices (1 star)…read more I visited the Take 5 Oil Change in Benbrook this past Monday, and I want to start by giving big praise to the team, especially Axel and the technician in training. Both of them were working hard, efficiently, and maintaining strong safety standards throughout the entire service. I also truly appreciate seeing a company hiring and supporting women in this field--she did a GREAT job, and it was clear she was putting in real effort. That said, while the staff experience was excellent, I have concerns about the process and practices used. Instead of draining the oil from the bottom of the engine, they use a suction method--feeding a thin hose into the engine and extracting the oil from the top. Personally, I'm not fully confident that this method removes all the oil compared to a traditional drain. Even more concerning, during this visit, the hose actually got stuck inside my engine. Axel and the lady worked hard for about 15-25 minutes to remove it, and thankfully they managed--but I left with a serious concern about whether anything may have been left behind or if any damage could have occurred. This was my second visit, and I also noticed that the pricing is very fixed--both times I paid exactly the same labor amount. On my first visit, I was also convinced to replace the coolant ("blue liquid") with theirs ("yellow liquid") at about half the dealership price. While that sounded like a good deal at the time, I'm still not fully confident about the long-term quality or the claim that it lasts for three years. Overall, I want to be clear: The staff is GREAT-- both of my visits they were professional, hardworking, and respectful. The prices are fair and transparent. But the service method and process raise concerns, especially when speed seems to be prioritized over thoroughness. The "stay in your car, quick service" model is convenient, but fast service doesn't always mean better service--just like waiting 2-5 hours at a dealership doesn't always guarantee quality either. I truly appreciate the effort from Axel and the lady--they did everything they could--but I hope the company takes a closer look at their procedures to ensure both safety and quality are fully aligned.

After posting an unfavorable review (back in March I believe), I returned today to get my truck…read morewashed again. I was met at the door by the manager who was aware of my previous experience and wanted to make it good. He had the team give the truck a very good workover and did not charge me for the service. This is good customer service and the service I have been used to for many years with University Car Wash. I will continue using this service on both of my trucks. BTW - the truck does get washed regularly and in May received a 180.00 detail. We just use it and it gets dirty.

I am frustrated every time I leave this car wash as they consistently provide low quality service…read more As evidenced, I attached photos from three different visits. I have never left satisfied with the cleanliness of my car, including the time I paid for the $85 detail. I finally talked with a manager, John, and his customer service was as abysmal as their car cleaning abilities. He said the $25 car wash only allowed for up to five minutes of vacuuming, and thus, I received the appropriate level of cleaning I presented him with (very poor... I still had noticeable chunks of dirt in my cupholder, for example). He continued on to tell me that if I wanted my child's car seat vacuumed, even at a basic level, I needed to pay for the detail service. I will not be returning. Thanks, John, for solidifying,my very poor opinion of the car wash and of your customer service.

Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more I had an oil change done at this Jiffy Lube location in February 2026. About five months later, while driving on the freeway in the Texas heat with my toddler in the car, my check engine light came on. I immediately pulled over somewhere safe and had my car towed to a Honda dealership. Honda determined that my oil drain plug had fallen out, causing the engine to become starved of oil and resulting in engine damage. They immediately advised me to contact the facility that had performed my last oil change as this error is predominantly an installation error. I contacted Jiffy Lube, but after conducting their own investigation, they determined they were not responsible and instead pointed fingers at the Honda dealership for not catching the issue when I brought my car there in June for an A/C repair. That visit had absolutely nothing to do with an oil change or my oil drain plug, and I had no reason to have any concerns about my oil at that time. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled. I trusted Jiffy Lube to properly service my vehicle, and now it's not longer drivable. Rather than taking accountability or seriously addressing the possibility that the plug was not properly installed or secured, the responsibility was shifted to another business for an unrelated service. I have to pay over 10k in repairs for a 2018 car that's I've had for only 2 years that I drive minimally. This was not only an expensive situation, but a disheartening one. I expected better quality and accountability from Jiffy Lube, and unfortunately, that has not been my experience.
