Good experience with these guys. They were quick and, helpful and very nice. Especially the gentleman who booked our move over the phone, I think he may have been the owner. My only complaint was how slow their moving truck was. At one point we were only moving at 35 mph on 405 and since they were following me to the new place I was worried we were going to lose them or dangerously impede traffic. It also stressed me out being slowed down since we were paying by the hour. Hopefully they got their truck fixed since then. Anyway, otherwise good experience. read more

Totally ignorant receptionist, rude owner says one thing but does not follow up. Unwilling to send me a copy of the contract before the move. Misquoting the price after comfirming twice. Uses' everybody makes mistakes' as excuse and tells me I can cancel if I don't like. So I did. I had to renegotiate with the landlady to postpone the moving date. I trusted yelp's 4.5 star rating but this company does not deserve that high rating. I moved multiple times locally and three times from coast to coast. I never have dealt with such poor service and this is the worst moving company I even talked to. There is absolutely no way for me to let them handle my move. They deserve zero star! read more

At 7.5 months pregnant, our move from Seattle to Kirkland needed to be stress-free and require minimal physical labor from me. Enter Quick Move - friends had recommended them to us, so we called them to come pack and move our whole house. The three movers were prompt and incredibly efficient - they had our 2500 sq ft house packed in under six hours, and the move the next day took less than eight hours. They came in under quote, were very professional, didn't break or lose a thing. Hired these guys to move a one bedroom apt. No problems at all, worked hard and they were fast. Maximized use of the elevator in my new building. Great that because I was local in downtown kirkland they didnt charge for transportation time to/from their office. The only reason I didnt five 5 stars is because one of the guys kept putting boxes where my furniture was going to be and he didnt speak English so hard to communicate. But overall, very pleased -definetely would use them again! read more

This is an overdue review, but I've used Quick Move twice. Once to move less than a mile and the second time to move two apartments worth into one condo from Kirkland to Seattle. Both times the crew was on time and they worked fast and efficient, but made sure to treat your items with care. The second move was a little more unique with having to go to two different apartments and drop off a couch at another location. They were more than happy to do so. I had an excellent experience with these guys. Their rate for 2 men was awesome, and the owner Avi even came and supervised so it was like getting 3 people for the price of 2. They wrapped everything in blankets and packed it carefully away. They moved my cheap elliptical, which is a total pain to take apart. They even repaired my furniture, gluing an old crack on the machine and fixing my badly put together Ikea shelves. Not many movers will bring your stuff to the new place in better condition then before. I can't really think of any drawbacks, so at the risk of sounding impartial, 5 stars! read more

It's been almost a year since we used Quick Move, but they were by far the best moving company we've ever used, so writing this review has been on my to-do list for far too long. Picking a moving company can be as much of a crapshoot as finding a good used car dealer or buying replacement windows for your home. I've probably hired movers four times in the past ten years, and prior to finding Quick Move, I've never had a terrible experience, but I've always felt that the service and the price paid for the service was about 2-2.5 stars. Usually the final bill exceeded the estimate for one reason or another. With Quick Move, the final bill was about 20% less than the quote as they finished in less time than quoted! Not only was the price better than the three other companies who gave me estimates for this partiular move, but the service was very professional - far better than any other moving company I have used. I can't recommend these guys enough, and I'm relieved to know that I won't have to interview several movers and keep my fingers crossed that I picked the right one if I move again. We had a gigantic enormous piece of exercise equipment to move from what part of our house to another. Very few moving companies will take a job this small but Quick-move definitely does @ $85 an hour. Scheduling was easy, they have an online request form to submit to their scheduler. On the confirmed day they showed up on time, well staffed, got the job done without any damage to walls. They also have a mobile credit card machine that takes Visa/Mastercard so it was easy to pay them. I would definitely hire them again for similar types of jobs. read more

We have used Quick Move Transport twice now for moves about 20 miles apart. Very quick, clean and careful. Excellent job in taking care of fragile pieces. Absolutely fantastic! 1. Very simple setup - Just fill out a form and call to confirm. 2. Fast/On time/Cheap - They moved my 3rd floor 1 bedroom apartment to another apartment community 1 mile away in 2 1/2 hours and charged me just $212.5 for the move. I was so amazed at the speed/cost of it all, that I ended up tipping more than 40 bucks and the miser in me has *never* done this before. And I did have a lot of the usual Ikea crap - couch, dining table, computer table, coffee table, TV table, bed, 5 drawer chest, bookcases, lamps etc (among a lot of other stuff - I really should downsize :) ) 3. Do not charge a travel fee (at least on the Eastside). And thus the moving cost is just number of hours (from the moment they arrive to when they are done) * number of hours. And thus 85*2.5 = $212.5 in my case. 4. Good people - I chatted with the owner a bit (He talked about the direction in which the Moving industry is headed and the issues he faces with Windows Live and Windows backup/restore/sync). These guys were incredible! Everything went as planned - they were on time, they loaded the stuff quickly, and then unloaded it all with great efficiency. At first it looked like my oversized couch (electric and reclining, so it weighs a ton) was not going to fit, but the guys kept trying different things and eventually were able to take it apart and get it in. When you search for moving companies all you find is horror stories. I thought some goood feedback is deserved for good service. I needed some new sofas picked up from a furniture store. I called and Avi had a truck nearby, quoted me a great price and had them at my house in no time at all same day. He didn't back onto the drive because he didn't want his van to damage my tree - most other people I hire don't even notice it until they rip a branch or two off. These guys did a fantastic job. They estimated us at 3-5 hours and even reserved a Saturday morning spot for us before the estimate was complete! The two guys showed up 15 minutes early which was very nice as we got going early in the morning. The crew was extremely professional and very courteous with our things. They wrapped every single piece of furniture in blankets and plastic. Just last year we moved across the country with a different company and all of our furniture had major damage and/or nicks on it. Yet Quick Move took way more care moving our belongings 5 blocks than others did across the country. They finished the job in the low estimate of 3 hours with no damage to our belongings and no damage to either one of the apartments. Nobody likes to move, but Quick Move Transport made moving day really painless - which is saying a lot. Avi personally came over to my old place a couple wks before, to give me an estimate- this made us feel confident there would be no unpleasant surprises later on the big day. The guys themselves were very professional & hard-working, on one of the hottest days of the summer. And in the aftermath, after the guys had put all our furniture together & gone home, we realized we were missing a bunch of those little silver IKEA pieces to hold up our bookshelves. Quick Move came recommended by our agent and friend, we had every reason to believe this would be a conventional professional interaction, and initially, all went as expected. Midway through the move, on their way to our new home their truck broke down (no one's fault). After multiple attempts to repair the truck, and 6 hours later, our stuff arrived (on a smaller truck, taking multiple rounds). Everyone was tired. Ultimately, our stuff was rushed into the new home with multiple broken items, grease on furniture, dings on the wall. At the end of the (late) night, the employees asked for full payment on a erroneous bill and without acknowledging the inconvenience, rushed work or broken items. We agreed to pay half immediately and to negotiate about the rest the following business day (when we had a chance to collect our thoughts). We were not trying to skim the bill or get away with not paying the team but were being treated as such. The owner was not there, but was directing his employees over the phone. After the first threat to bring the police to our home, we spoke with him on the phone directly. He became belligerent and aggressive and threatened to drive to our home to demand payment. He believed that there was a "law" to pay immediately (although their own paperwork stated 30-days) and threatened to call the police again. After multiple attempts to dissuade him and deescalate, he drove to our home. He and his employees parked outside our house. At approximately, 1 am the police arrived to mediate. It's telling to see how people handle situations when things don't go as planned. To bring the police into this was inexcusable and unprofessional at best, and reckless and scary at worst. We believe in truth and transparency and honestly don't understand why this situation spiraled out of control. In most circumstances we believe in supporting local family-run business, this however was a terrible way to begin a new chapter in our lives. read more

Avi runs a great business. He added so many extras to the normal moving services that it really made my stress level go way down. He even took apart and put back together a pretty tricky bed frame that I had been dreading to deal with. When my power drill ran out of juice he ran off to his office to get another while the others continues to work. He closely supervised the placement of items on the truck to minimize used space and treated my things with care. If I have to move again (oh, please no!) Great company. Well prices, they were not only on time but a little early. They fit us in their schedule after another moving company made a big mess of the day due to their scheduling problems. They moved us from a 3rd floor walk-up apartment to a house about 20 miles away. They were polite, courteous and asked questions when needed, assuming nothing when it came to moving our belongings. I just used them to help move the 2b/2b apartment from Redmond to Sammamish. I love the service! The whole booking process happened with e-mail and it was great. I gave them the estimation of the stuff in my apartment and got a reasonable suggestion on 3 member and 1 van service. The scheduled time was at 9:00 to 9:30 in the morning and they do arrived to the loading area about 9:10. Before start they do give me an estimation and said that they need about 5 hours to finish the whole move: I have about 70 boxes in addition to the typical 2b/2b furnitures (bed, sofa, chest, crib, etc.). After I signed the document, the 3 member start to work quickly: It tooks about 2.5 hours to empty the apartment. They do wrap everything like the TV, Sofa, Bed, Computer monitor, etc. On the way to my new place, they do called me to tell me that they need half hour lunch time and let me know that I don't need to pay for that. Good to know. :) The remaining part is much simple and finally they charged me 4.5 hours for the whole service, which is less than the estimation. read more

They damaged a sofa and then they said that if they paid the state mandated that they come and pick up the damaged sofa. I don't know how they get this near 5 starts review, maybe others got better experience, but not me. My warning to any yelper looking at this company: the owner of Quick Move doesn't care about customer service AT ALL. Update: the guy that changed the schedule again and again turns out to be the owner. So here comes my experience: 1. does not accept phone call service schedule request, you have to fill out online request 2. even if you confirm with phone call with availability, fill out the online request for some fix date, you receive another phone call few days later saying the date you requested is full, you have to be scheduled ahead of the date requested, one day earlier 3. fine, I get it, people get busy, and a close-to-5 stars company may have more service requests, let's get this done at which ever date the company wanted to re-schedule. Confirmed with the gentleman on phone call about the re-scheduled date and time and told him I will take one day off for the move. 4. took one day off, have to call them only 30mins before the scheduled time because i received no contact from the company. guess what, "your service is not scheduled" "you should not expect service if you did not receive an confirmation" , so tell me, WTH was the re-schedule requested by you for? the guy just keep saying that he will try to work it out, or he can reschedule it tomorrow. So why the fxxx did you request a re-schedule? and he is rude, impatient, and wanted to blame me for not confirming with their "no-confirmation email", shouldn't this be the company's responsibility if they requested a reschedule and cannot do it??? 5. providing no meaningful solution, I will NEVER use this company again. and I suggest you re-consider your decision if you want to try this out. read more

Late! Their problem is being late! When you move, you feel frustrated when your mover doesn't show up! No phone call until you call them! Then they started to send people in in different time! At the end, the moving was done at 10pm! Other than being late, the moving was fine. read more

Overall very satisfied. Out of the five companies I contacted, Avi was the only one to offer to come out to our place for an estimate (3 bedroom size place, move only, no packing). This company's rates were the lowest I found on the Eastside. No hidden costs like most of the other guys. Their Kirkland location was perfect for us as it was smack in between between our moving locations (saving us the hourly driving rate as they didn't have to come out from Seattle like most of the companies around here). He answered all our questions in the visit (spending over half an hourof his time--for free), was honest about topics such as insurance & recommended crew size, our appointment was confirmed after making it as well as the day before, the crew arrived on time, and the move came in well under estimate. The guys were fast! I've only had movers once before, but I would still say these guys were quicker, giving you more bang for your buck. They had lots of stairs, tight corners, heavy furniture, etc, and still kept a fast but careful pace. They clocked out for breaks. Avi even came out mid move out to check up on everything. Ours was really a quick move since we had everything ready to go (furniture disassembled, etc). The movers in combo with the plastic tubs we rented from another local company made this our easiest move ever. They took care wrapping up furniture in wrap and pads as needed. They even were able to move a full chest garage freezer, saving us the hassle of unloading it. My only compliants are that two of the three guys weren't 100% fluent in english (the lead guy was however, so this wasn't too much of an issue), and that they did some heavy scrapes to the walls...nothing that some touch up paint can't fix (except one which requires some fill). I got what I paid for though, and I had expected this. I know I could have paid way more to get the fancy companies that put corner protectors on the walls, cover up the carpet, etc. I 100% recommend these guys if you want a cheap and quick move. its great to support a local growing business too. Quick Move transport was a good move experience from my daughter's apartment to her storage unit. It did take much longer than we thought, but the owner did a good job of estimating beforehand, he knew just by looking at the items to be moved, how long it would take. They were very professional, very careful of our items, even the most fragile of items were carefully guarded in the truck during transport and loaded and unloaded with care. We had no breakage at all. Next time we will move much more of our small belongings by car, to avoid some of the costs, but we will use this company again in a few months when we move her into a new apartment. This is a great company to work with, honest, professional, and the owner was very respectful to his employee, which makes for a much more comfortable experience for the customer. I don't like it when an owner barks at or is rude to their employee, so it was such a nice experience for him to give directions to ensure our goods safety, but do it in a nice, quiet, respectful manner. I just used Quick-Move Transport to pick up and deliver a couch from the furniture store. The furniture store's delivery service didn't have openings for another week, so I decided to use Quick-Move because they could deliver the next day. I'm so glad I did. They were great! They were very careful with the couch, courteous and polite. And it cost exactly the same (or a bit less) than what I would have had to pay the furniture store for delivery. I would definitely use them again for this type of pickup and delivery. read more
