The first day on the job it was clear he wasn't prepared to do the job. Kept asking me if I had this or that. The second day wasn't much better. He approached me saying he was going to lose money on this job and wanted to renegotiate the price. He threatened to pick up and leave even after his worker had already removed half of my driveway! He wanted to more than triple the price! After a back and forth, I agreed to double the original bid. (Keep in mind that I had spend over 25 years pouring and finishing concrete) When it came to pouring the replacement concrete it was very clear he didn't have any idea what he was doing. The concrete was to be stamped to match existing. Based on my experience I kept letting him know that he needed to start stamping as the concrete was setting up too hard. Even though I'm nearly 80 years old, I got out some of my concrete tools and started working to get the concrete in shape. I worked 3 hours in order to get it done right. He kept taking breaks and at one point he appeared to be napping! Unbelievable!!! Hiring Redwood CC was one of the biggest mistake I've ever made!

Research done prior matched the range for this type of work ($600 -1000) $600 is the low-end for an unlicensed contractor. I felt it was important to spend extra for a fully licensed and bonded electrician. We agreed to get the work done on Saturday. Jaime showed up with his partner to complete the work around 9:45am. I left to finish preparing for our move. Jamie completed the work at 12:15pm to very positive results. Everything was done, very neat and tidy. Just noticed the problem friday, found Eric on nextdoor and yelp and he came out saturday to check. His truck was in the shop so he came on his motorcycle with his tools. Eric looked at the problem and within 10 minutes had the fix! While he was there I also showed him another patio door that would blow open on especially windy days.
