Quik Wok is a ray of sunshine in the world of fast food Chinese food. Consistently amazing food and "quik" service that lives up to its namesake. I can sleep easy after eating at quik wok because the food is served at an average temperature of 1000° Fahrenheit, it seriously resembles a plate of fajitas with how much steam is comes off it. While that might be a problem for most people in their on the go lifestyle, quik wok is an innovator in take out Chinese food technology: simply buy the food to go, eat half of it while you watch Steven Seagal movies, and store the rest in your fridge for 12 hours. While it is in your fridge, quik works patented formula of sauce and nanotechnology activates by the cool temperatures and lack of light and gets to work softening and penetrating the ingredients. When you find it in the back of your refrigerator 2 days later and ask your roommate or significant other if it's good and they respond with a confident "sure, just pop it in the microwave" disregard their stupid advice. I can't rave enough about this place. The food is amazing and always piping HOT... Just the way I like it. Everything I've tried here is good. Sooooo I've been to other Quik Wok in Oceanside and I love it. BEST orange chicken and rice I've had at a decently-priced Chinese place like this. I went to the Vista Way location expecting the same food, and got the TOTAL opposite. It was the nastiest orange chicken of my life! I split up every single piece and found nothing but the fried breading...there was seriously not one piece of chicken to be found! I took my food up to the man at the register and told him there was no chicken in my dish, and he said he'd have another batch made. Ten minutes later, he brought me out half a portion of the same exact mess that I had before! My boyfriend and I just got up and left the food on the table. It's not fancy but it's clean and affordable and the food is good. The honey walnut shrimp is the bomb. The house fried rice is yummy. The noodles are good, I haven't really had anything bad here. They added delivery during peak hours Thursday thru Sunday so that's a nice addition and they are open everyday. We absolutely love this place. Too many times you get home with your food order and you're like "why are there only 2 pieces of shrimp in my shrimp Chow mein" or dang, no wonder they say that your hungry again an hour after eating Chinese food, all that's here is carrots and broccoli". Honestly, I probably have avoided worst places, but I decided to try this place out based on the reviews. If you know good Chinese food, avoid this place. The only way I can imagine why people would rate this place highly is that they never have had good Chinese. The food didn't get me sick, but this was terrible chinese food. There was nothing redeeming about the food. Worst yet was the fortune cookie which on top of having a terrible fortune "You are pretty." and "You will sleep well tonight." Yay! After not feeling like pizza (sorry Brooklyn Boyz we just needed a Chinese fix today :P ) we saw Quik Wok right down the street. Very friendly service and straight forward Chinese take-out menu. Food came out fast and hot. I got the sweet and sour chicken with veggies, fried rice and cream cheese wontons and my husband got kung pow beef. Both portions were huge and tasted awesome. My daughter and I came here to pick up food recently when the college location was closed. The food here was fresh, tastes much better and the staff is nice. Also, the parking situation is better here. This is our new spot. Only downfall is that this location does not offer "spicy chicken" and that put too many vegetable types in the "vegetable fried rice." read more

This is the best bang for your buck. Huge portions with good price. I always get plain noodles which lasts me about three meals when I save the leftovers. They are delicious. I'm also a fan of the house chicken, orange chicken, paper wrapped chicken, and cream cheese wontons. I used to come here every week and the owner started to get to know us and our order. He'd come by the table and tell us a joke every now and then. There has been one instance where I came in with my boyfriend at the time over 6 months ago and the owner pointed to me and said oh you still with her? Or he could have been pointing out that I was pouring sugar on my rice and he could have said oh you use sugar? I'm still not sure but it made me a little uncomfortable and I've only been back once since. read more

Dear Qwik Wok Manager- I really want to like your place however it seems to be hit or miss depending on your chef. For example I love your vegetable chow mein but today for example it's dry and has no sauce in it what so ever. I also order your house special chicken often and every time it's cooked different and looks different, same with the fried rice. So it's frustrating not knowing what you will get when you always order the same thing and it always comes out different. I ate here a long time ago and didn't care for it. Just gave it another try and was pretty disappointed. We ordered two lunch specials. I was bummed that they didn't have egg drop soup so we got one hot & sour and one salad. The hot & sour soup was not very good. The salad was good and refreshing with a really yummy dressing. Quik Wok--the name says it all. Consistent, cheap, no-frills Chinese food, minus the "C." A lot of people have touched on how there isn't a ton of hole-in-the-wall Chinese places around here so I think that helps Quik Wok stay around. I've been coming here for years and it's not bad. If you're craving some Chinese and nothing else will do you will get your fix here. Rarely mind-blowing, rarely-bad. You can get a big plateful of food with soup for about 6 bucks during lunch and eat it in the small cafeteria-style lobby by the quarter press-on tattoo dispenser. They also do have quite a bit of vegetarian and tofu dishes. Come here knowing what it is and you won't be disappointed, but if you want a taste bud tantalizing Chinese cuisine experience plop down the extra couple bucks for that "C" and go to Chin's. read more

This was decent...it's close to my house, the food was good enough...I subbed brown rice for white, we got the Kung Pao Chicken and the Chicken Green Beans. I can't complain...although it seemed really high in sodium...I am not going to go so far as to accuse them of using MSG, because I don't really think anyone does anymore, but it was heavy on the soy sauce maybe? Was $19 for the 2 meals and subbing the brown rice, so it seemed a bit expensive, but there was a lot of food crammed into each to-go container. I'd go back, it's convenient. read more

This place is awesome! I've always wanted to try this place and can't believe it has taken me so long to eat there. The service was fantastic and the food was very fresh and hot! Our food arrived quickly after ordering and the portions were well worth the amount paid. I ordered the Pork Egg Foo Young and my fiance ordered the House Chicken. I love Quik Wok, they were by 76/collage when I was younger and are now off the 78/w vista way. They have the best hot/sour soup around; I get h/s when ever I try Chinese food and nothing ever hits the spot,ever. This kitchen is a comfort food for me, the food is always good, and prepared well, staff friendly, restaurant clean. I don't know the unassuming older gentleman that's fed me for all these years but he's always behind the counter regardless of staff changes so I assume he's the owner. I can eat almost anything on the menu and know I'll be happy with my meal. I don't know if it's the best Chinese ever, but I'm a very picky and anxious eater and have never been dissatisfied. Ps.
