This quicksilver location is running a SCAM!! In December of 2023 I was gifted two gift cards in the amount of $100 and $50. On 2/25/2024 my girlfriend and I entered the store and picked out and tried on some clothing items. When we presented our gift card we were told by employee: Brayan that they have a new point of sale and we would need to come back after they called us to pick up our items. After a month with no call I called and spoke to the manager who informed me they would not honor the gift cards and I would have to call corporate. So, we called the number on the website as well as make an email showing our gift card receipt and they continue to ignore us. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will continue to escalate until I receive a full refund of $150. How pathetic I have nothing negative to say about the employees who work there. The were very friendly and helpful but this is inexcusable. read more

I didn't appreciate the lazy employee who wouldn't let me try on 3 swimsuits 5 mins before closing. She said "fitting rooms are locked already". Shorter girl behind the counter with bangs and short hair. As a business owner myself, it's a liability to have employees like this. I was ready to buy 1-2 sets of those suits. So now she's been paid and the business lost a sale and customer. read more

Excellent customer service with no pressure. Gave me advice on wet suits and surf boards and I found these tips to be focused on helping the customer more than generic business. Good crowd of people working there giving helpful tips and constantly checking if everything was ok but without being pushy. Their selection of shirts, bikinis, watches and other accessories is amazing. I love Quicksilver brand, very optimistic even in their posters with which they adorn the walls. Prices are not cheap, but I know many tourists buying here instead of in Europe sports stores because they are way cheaper and you can find great souvenirs of San Diego without the tacking component. With everything that's going on in the world, it's super-nice that there are still such nice people, especially in the retail game. It's so very rare. Plus, with San Diego being such a tourist town, at times locals like me get brushed aside; not here. I have been using this store for more than 10 years, and it's less about brand loyalty and more about the workers. Over the years, all of them and I mean all of them have always given me and anyone I've sent their way the absolute best customer service. This store never lets you down. Garrett has been there for a few years now and is always so helpful and is so upbeat and affable that you can't help but wish you could reach right out to quiksilver and tell them to promote this guy! Great shop in a town that nothing lasts that long in, so it's nice to have it around, along with the super cool crew that keeps it going. Locals here spend so much time in the water that it's nice having a spot to grab a rash-guard, a pair of board shorts or a wetsuit top. Hope these guys stay around. read more

Vacationing at San Diego this week, I walked into this store at 7:50pm to shop for flip flops, not knowing they closed at 8pm. I was helped by a nice person named Garret S., who didn't rush me until I found the exact style I liked. However, once I got back to the hotel, tried it. Turn out it was too big and went back today, not sure if I could exchange it. Garret S. provided me such good customer service. Initially, he advised me, and I should listened to get the smaller size, and I should have listened. Once I explained my situation, he allowed me to exchange for the right size and made no judgment. Really appreciated him. I highly recommend going there, if you need flip flops. read more

Horrible customer service. I was told one thing over the phone, and then they never followed through. I paid $25 for overnight shipping. My merchandise shipped first thing in the morning on a Monday and didn't get delivered until Wednesday late afternoon. They won't do anything for me. The person on the phone said it was guaranteed to arrive on Tuesday and if it didn't, they would give me a partial shipping refund. In a sunny city like San Diego, you would expect that this branded beach and casual wear store would be really shopped out and lacking in selection. This was not the case at all when I visited earlier this week. I was surprised to see the huge selection of Roxy women's clothing, workout gear, casual shoes, and bathing suits in ALL sizes. Even the sale items still had a big selection despite there being a sale now for 50 percent off the already-reduced prices. I stopped in while on a run, so didn't want to try on clothes while I was sweaty. The friendly sales clerk offered me a room regardless and confirmed I could return items with a receipt as I purchased a half dozen items without trying them on. I walked away with several cute thin sweatshirts, and workout leggings and tops. Great service! When I had a question about an item, the sales clerk knew his inventory well. The store was also neatly arranged and clean, as if I were the first shopper of the day there, and yet it was 7pm at night. They also have a big selection of men's clothing and the Quiksilver brand! This will definitely be a regular stop for me as I look for the latest Roxy styles! read more

Was there a couple of weeks ago and bought my husband a shirt. Once we got home, we live in LA county, I noticed I bought the shirt in the wrong size! I called the store and explained my dilemma, the manager was more than happy to make an exchange for me. I mailed them the wrong shirt, and within days I received the correct shirt in the mail!! I'm a long time Quik customer - long time surfer. Just bought a pair of sandals approx. $25 - yes cheap. Straps on sandals have stained my feet black for days, dye not going away (from sandals) even after washing sandals. Get what you pay for I suppose, but expect higher quality from Quick. I'm giving the one star as feel the corp ownership is so profit driven they've lost sight of core surfers. BTW - perhaps sign of times, but I can't buy Reef sandals anymore either, they don't stain feet but also don't last more than 3 months - cheap junk. read more

Average Quicksilver store in size and selection. I'm personally not a fan of retail stores that charge $25 for a tee shirt. I was looking to pick up a quick shirt because i didn't care for the one I brought down to gas lamp. Didn't find anything that fit, without being way too long. Tl;dr: The place is expensive, but they have quality stuff which makes it worth it IMO. The customer service was also top-notch, thanks to Cullen! I'm extremely picky about my bathing suits (which is why I stuck with the last Roxy suit I bought for about 6-7 years), and this is especially the case with a lot of the styles that are popular at the moment. Roxy not only has quality suits that will last me years, but they are also very cute and up to my old-school style standards!* I found a suit with a super cute print and cups in the top for support, and it was in the old-school style of spaghetti strings on a triangle top and bikini bottoms, with straps that were not too thick (I don't appreciate thick tan lines) and a good fit. I have been looking for over a year for a new suit that matches these qualifications! Moreover, the guy who helped us, Cullen, was extremely helpful, patient, positive, and chill. He assisted me in finding a suit that matched my standards, and was a great resource. Overall, great experience here! *They do also carry newer styles, such as those that are reminiscent of Triangl bikinis. read more

I was actually comfortable in the store, and found 4 pairs of jeans that I really like wearing. The staff was attentive but didn't weird me out.
