Unfortunately never had any discussion about options and what coating would work best for what i want as well as pros/cons of different polyurethanes. A crew showed up, got right to work and left. After a couple days i noticed imperfections in a couple of the rooms so i reached back out to them. They were very quick to respond and sent the crew out the same day, they inspected the floors and ended up doing another coat at no cost. Floors came out great. Dan came over, checked things out, gave us a very competitive price and scheduled the project. The crew arrived, promptly (a big plus), got to the job and stripped two rooms and a stairway on day 1. Day 2 was a final sanding and the application of two coats of the finish. Day 3 was a light sanding and a final coat. The work was executed excellently. Communication was great and, we were informed at each step. Concerns and questions were addressed and resolved quickly. Dan and the guys are pros. I know that we'll be using them again. He was helpful and told us exactly what he was going to do, what his process was and what our responsibility was. He left us with a card and did not pressure us to make an appointment. We got a few quotes and they came in the lowest. When it came time to Do the work, Eric and his wife said they would be there at 8 with their team and they were promptly at our house at 8. The job took 2 days and the crew was accommodating and they did a nice job. It was also clean, we didn't have specks of paint or anything on the floor or carpet. They cleaned up well and if I have any other painting projects, interior or exterior I'm going with RW&B.

I also regret agreeing to pay in full up front, which I now know is a red flag in general. If you work with Brian, some questions you may want to ask: * Will you take any measures (at all) to protect surfaces that are not the floor, like painted walls, trim, cabinets, light switches, doors, sinks, and millwork, or should I expect to find wood stain smeared on the first 1/2" of all vertical surfaces where they meet the floor and fingerprints/smears pretty much everywhere else? * If you stain things that are not the floor will you remove the stain if possible or otherwise fix the damage if not? * Will you stand by your installation work, or are there situations in which you will not guarantee that the floor will not cup, move, gap, bow, sink, etc? * Is there anything you are not mentioning to me now that you might offer as an explanation for poor results after the job is complete? * Does the quoted fee include the entire area under discussion or are you waiting to tell me about another fee? * If you subcontract the job, will I be dealing with you or with your subcontractor? * What will you do in the event that your subcontractor damages my property, eg puts a 12' long scuff down the face of a brand-new wood cabinet with a sander? Will you fix that or drag out dealing with it for months on end until I bring up a small claims suit? * If I pay you in advance, do you care at all if I am happy with your work?
