The slim remains of a wonderful meal - too excited to photograph first.

I've been a fan of Quincy's ever since my first meal in Leadville years ago, so I was thrilled to discover they also have a location in Buena Vista. Quincy's is all about beef, and they do it exceptionally well. Whether it's a perfectly cooked filet or a flavorful ribeye, the meat is consistently tender, tasty, and lean enough without losing richness. They offer cuts in different sizes, so whether you've got a big appetite or prefer something lighter, there's an option that fits. The baked potato, loaded with butter and sour cream, is simply heavenly. Add in a crisp, fresh salad and a slice of bread to soak it all up, and you've got a meal that's both simple and outstanding. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Honestly, if Quincy's were right next to my home, I'd probably eat there every night.

Interesting concept, only two meals to choose from on menu and yet it works! The filet was not the best we've ever had and I would order a smaller size next time, but it was a solid meal with the salad, baked potato and delicious homemade bread. The bottle of wine was fairly priced and we would definitely try again on prime rib night!

I visited this restaurant in beautiful Buena Vista, CO for the first time today upon the recommendation of a friend in the area. The restaurant was conveniently located on Route 24 in Buena Vista, there was plenty of parking, the outside of the restaurant looked average in my opinion, no one greeted me upon entering the restaurant (and I even had to get an employee's attention to seat me after waiting for a couple minutes at the greeter's desk at the entrance), the dining room looked like a typical Chinese restaurant, was finally seated at a table (there were very few customers in the restaurant, though it was 5:30pm), the the table/booth were clean, no menu was given to me, I ordered filet mignon as it was "filet mignon special night", my server was friendly and efficient, my meal (6 oz steak, baked potato, & side salad, total: $17) was served hot in 10 minutes, my steak tasted barely "good", and the steak sauce they gave me came in a small, unmarked bottle and were terrible!, potato and side salad were fine, there was no WiFi, and the restroom was clean and didn't smell.

This is our steak 5 minutes after leaving restaurant. If you press on it, clear Liquid comes out. And it's supposed to be medium rare.

Our steaks tasted and appeared to have been boiled. They were definitely not grilled. The salads were smothered in goopy dressing and cheese. The food here used to be so much better. We will not be back.

Here's the menu. Sunday thru Thursday filet. Look at those awesome prices. Friday and Saturday prime rib.

Everyone was happy, and spirits were high. The Lariat staff was really on top of all the logistics from what I could see. Maybe I'd consider coming here on a regular day or night, but something about attending a private event felt special.

The griddled cornbread and honey butter was FANTASTIC and the fish and chips was a super pleasant surprise! They advertise it as catfish... I hate channel cat (dark, muddy and fishy) so I didn't order it but my hubby did.... The catfish is Pangasius, also called Swai. They were huge fillets, white meat and not fishy at all. And the fries were crispy. It was super good! I had a Cobb that was yummy as well although I wish they had some type of vinaigrette. To top it off... the staff was super attentive and fun! Such a great experience!!!

I tried the "Mr. Ed" for the first time -- WOW -- two eggs on a gigantic biscuit with sausage gravy, hash browns, cheese AND pork green chile. Sharon ordered the "Farmer's Omelet" with ham, onions (lots of these), cheese, smothered in sausage gravy -- but she smothered it further with a cup of green chile. I went with the "Simple Breakfast" of two eggs, hash browns, sausage links (which were to die for) and subbed the toast out for a waffle. Boy howdy. The staff are all friendly, attentive and professional. The atmosphere is laid back and rustic, and it's fun to listen to bits of conversation from the locals. So I'm always skeptical about Asian restaurants in small towns that typically don't have Asians. In talking to the person who works here I found out that the owner and chef are Asians. The chef is actually Malaysian also so I was intrigued. Anyway, we ordered a bunch of things to try and were overall pleased with it. The only thing I wasn't so impressed with was the Tom Ka Gai soup. It was fine but it lacked a certain note and flavor profile for the soup that it usually comes with so I think a certain key ingredient was missing. My friend had not tried the soup before so she did like it. I liked the Pork larb dish I got which had a good mix of salty, sweet, spicy and sour flavors. They also treated us to chicken adobo which had just come out of the oven and it was amazing! I prefer an adobo that isn't super vinegary and this fit the bill.
