If you like homemade meatloaf, try their's!The meatloaf was served on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes and a thick slice of bread, both enhanced by the sweet, yet savory mushroom gravy. The service at Lulu's on Main is wonderful, the staff are all friendly and helpful they go above and beyond to make sure all customers are taken care of. I have eaten here a few times when I have been in town and the staff has been great every time so I genuinely think it's part of the culture at the restaurant. The food is always good but not my favorite in Sylva. This visit I got a hamburger and it was definitely over cooked to the point that it wasn't very juicy any more. The burger had a fried green tomato on it which was delicious and there was a very tasty jam on the burger but unfortunately there wasn't enough jam on the burger to hide the overcooked flavor of the meat. Now I could have absolutely asked for my burger to be recooked or for more jam but I was in a bit of a rush and it really wasn't that bad. I loved the onion rings they had a good crunch and big onions inside each ring. In the past I have had a mushroom appetizer that was delicious! So in the future if I'm back I will probably try a new dish or stick to the mushroom appetizer. I did see someone order a curry dish that looked delicious so who knows maybe that will be what I get next time! read more

Let me tell you, we had a blast exploring! This little town felt like it was straight out of a Hallmark movie--with its adorable shops, friendly folks, and a cozy atmosphere that made it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. Now, let's talk about the restaurant Chris recommended! When we arrived to Lulu's On Main we were greeted with the warmest welcome. We of course asked for Emily and she was absolutely wonderful, providing us with the most attentive service ever! She carefully described all the delicious options on the menu, and trust me, she did not steer us wrong. Came for desert and was glad to find it is dog friendly! Can only really speak the that so the Crème Brulee was just okay. It was cold and the caramelization went a little hard. Tasted more burnt than cooked. The staff was nice though and very sweet tour dogs. Patio seating is a little cramped but nice and it overlooks the street and at the time some sort of festival was going on. read more

We arrived as soon as they opened, being one for the first costumers through the door. Emily waited on us this visit and she was very attentive. They always have a homemade soup that is delicious. I chose the three grilled cheese sandwich with the chicken vegetable soup and my husband chose the grilled chicken sandwich with pesto, lettuce and tomato. Our number one stop for lunch or dinner when in town. The service is always super helpful and nice. We always order the garlic mushrooms with goat cheese as an appetizer, which is enough for four of us. We've got the THAI CHICKEN SOUP, the Phrench Dip, the Salmon, and the burger, all very good. Our host recommended LuLus and we decided to try it out for dinner. What an amazing dinner we had on the patio with local music playing from the adjacent park. Parking is generous, free, and close to the restaurant. The bathrooms were clean and service was excellent. I had the braised short ribs, my wife had shrimp and grits. Our meals were perfect with good portion size. I would definitely recommend this dining experience to anyone. read more

Went to Lulu's on Feb 16, 2026 for dinner and we were greeted by smiling staff. Our server, Anna, was great! She answered all of our questions about the items and was very attentive. I had thought about getting the Chicken Tikka Masala bowl since the nearest Indian restaurant to Sylva is 50+ miles away but decided to order the lamb cutlets which were one of the specials and my friend had the Spinach & Steak entree salad. The cutlets and the steak were both cooked to med-rare which we asked for and were tender and great!! I'll definitely be returning there in the near future! read more

Always kind, friendly, hospitable service. When I am in WNC, I never skip the Pasta ala Greque at Lulu's. I dream about this meal. Lulu's was AWESOME !! We couldn't find anything negative or remotely toward the negative. From the heated plates, to the food, to the ambiance and to the service... ALL was great !! With a culinary wife, she usually has something of some sort of feedback, but she was speechless. I had the Lulu's signature Filet , which was perfectly prepared and it melted in my mouth. The potatoes (wrapped in bacon) was a great compliment. My wife had the Chicken Piccata, was perfect with the chicken perfectly battered and fried and the caper butter sauce was perfectly balanced. The steamed broccoli was Devine, with lightly salted butter. My daughter had the Meatloaf Manhattan, which we all grabbed a bit of. The flavor was bountiful and then, to get a college student to like broccoli (who doesn't like broccoli) was a true testament to its flavor. The Chef followed the traditional classic dishes to a T !! Lulu's is a super cute locally-owned restaurant that I used to visit as a student at WCU over 30 years ago. It has really had a lovely facelift. I met a colleague for a work lunch. Prices are competitive during lunch. My friend raves about her burger. My cheesesteak lacked flavor but wasn't awful. The fries were great as was the mozzarella. We stopped at Lulu's while en route and were looking for a dog-friendly lunch spot--the staff at Lulu's got us seated on the patio, brought our pooch a water bowl and dog treat, and was very attentive to our needs. Oh! And the food was outstanding too. We had two specials, the three-cheese grilled cheese sandwich and the grilled chicken wrap with rice and pickled veggies. Visiting the area and stopped by for Lunch based on recommendation from Innkeeper ... we couldn't believe just how good the meal actually was! So good, in fact, that we returned for Dinner ! We were a party of 4 for Dinner and everyone's meal was fantastic!! Had been to Sylva multiple times and had very tried Lulu's but finally we made it to lunch and wow very impressed. We even came back later in the week. We started off with the French Onion Soup and wow it is so good. I could easy eat it everyday especially once it starts to cool down. On my first time there I got the French Dip and Ashley got Reuben which was on special and both of them were amazing and so filling. The other nice thing is the prices are good too. $10-$12 for a monster sandwich and a side. You can't beat it. The second time we came that week I got the Gyro and it was massive and filled with meat ( you will see in my picture what I mean but I swear there were veggies in there too). I still have yet to go for dinner but judging from what we have had for lunch I'm sure dinner is very good as well. We will for sure be stopping back in next time we are in town! read more

Interesting menu with yummy food. Stopped in for lunch. We had the trout po-boy. Super delicious. Generous with the fish portion. Lots of tomato, lettuce and red onion with a creole remolade. Nice horseradish bite in the sauce. My husband ordered one of the specials, 3 cheese grilled cheese with a creamy tomato with Italian sausage soup. He loved it. Our large group enjoyed this cute restaurant on Main Street in Sylva NC. I had the Veggie Noodles $12.25 with tofu $6. The veggies were very fresh but the peanut noodle soup really didn't have much flavor. I asked for more sauce peanut sauce but it didn't help. Everyone else really enjoyed their lunch.
