Great food and excellent service. Not to mention great music as well. I come at least 3 times a week.

We were passing through and saw the full parking lot and thought, "Looks really busy, must be good." First of all, the menu is HUGE, for a bar! This is a red flag. When the special of the night is "Alfredo... with chicken, pork, or steak, take your pick!" and it's also already on the menu... this is a red flag. I quickly started scanning the menu for something that might not give me food poisoning. When the food is stored in outside freezers and there's a horde of live cats running around everywhere... it's a red flag. I love good bar food, but this was not good. My wife's Philly Cheesesteak tasted like propane gas. My chili dog was on par with something you might get at a junior high football game. Even my kids rejected their chicken tenders, which is saying something. Just 100% industrial, frozen, crap. The $13 margarita was even bad. It tasted like bad sour mix and may have had a drop or two of tequila in it. Giving one star for the server, who tried her best. And the location on the river was very nice. Service was slow too though. This was the worst $85 "dinner" I've had in a very, very long time. For the love of god, reduce the size of your menu and do a few things really well. No one wants a bunch of frozen entrees at a bar. read more

Welcomed in by everyone near the front door in such a friendly and engaging manner! Food was delicious and service was so attentive. Carolyn/Caroline was one of the best waitresses I have ever had. 3/26/2026- Sad to say but this visit was disappointing. Not sure if owners changed or they have just cut items in the kitchen. We came in and ordered the ravioli. If you look at my pictures two years ago this was not the same ravioli , as well as taste. The one from today felt like rubber and like it came from a box as opposed to the homemade ravioli we had two years ago. The meatballs were good but way too much sauce. If you've ever worked in a restaurant (or you were born yesterday) you will know immediately that this food is very cheap, low quality crap. I'll give 2 stars because server did fine and the location and views are great. The food however was insulting. Got the Shrimp PoBoy. Came with frozen fries and not even the good frozen kind. POBoy was frozen shrimp with thousand island dressing on some decent store bought bread. The coleslaw side was about a half tablespoon of bag coleslaw and dressing (if you want coleslaw as additional side it's $4!!! Got a PBR with it and the PBR was the most authentic and most flavorful thing I had. Wife and daughter split a chicken Caesar wrap with frozen tater tots. Equally as bad per them. With any effort at all decent food could be served here. Sorry for the bad review but I paid $50 for this crap. read more

On a hot summer day, there's no better place to roast in the sun than at The Waterfront Bar. My ex husband and I spent some time in the mountains and hit this spot on our way out. We sat on the lower deck outside patio and we got the corner table. Incredible view even with the heat and the geese yapping next to us. As far as the food, I have to admit it's pricey for what you get and considering this economy. It's like $15 for a hotdog and McDonald's fries. Also take a look at the chicken tenders. Never seen such a bland looking buffalo tender before. But I WONT LIE, IT WAS BUSSIN!!!! That was some good chicken! My ex husband is kinda weird and this is one of the reasons he's my ex: he ordered the chicken parm sandwich. I didn't even realize that those existed ... I thought it was a pasta dish... but he cleaned his plate so it must've been good. Unfortunately despite the good food, we couldn't patch up our relationship. Also as a side note it appears that someone threw their plate into the river. They must not have liked their dinner. But I enjoyed the food and my server and the view. This place is a HARD NO. They advertise a 7 day a week HAPPY HOUR. "RIDICULOUS "! The flatbread pizza was a 6 inch tortilla with pizza toppings. The loaded tater tots were 12 pcs with shedded cheddar and I think bacon bits (???) Beers were $2 off , but they were domestic cans & bottles and were priced between $6 & $8 before the discount. Except for PBR. The food and drinks are way overpriced. Good trucks which tend to be pricey are a way better value. Waterfront , please close your doors. read more

It was a GO and an impromptu 1 hour 20 min drive up the dragon's trail and through Blue Ridge. The venue = simple galvanized steel building. Upon walk-in, the bar area is front and center. The staff were immediately welcoming, it felt like they were already friends. SIDE NOTE: I looked liked... A surfer gypsy, who just rolled out of bed. They were still VERY nice. A cute server gal showed us to a booth seat in the dining area. I noticed the gals there were all pulled together well. That actually matters to me. If your slops in your looks, you're gonna be slops with my food. I'm from Vegas, it's unsaid law there. I ordered my drink, a mule with whiskey. It was stiff. I like stiff. We were shown to the buffet area. Let me say EVERYBODY was so nice, and chill. Food was all on point. Yes. Me issues = I'm picky AF. All food made in-house. Noice. Our first dinner at the Waterfront Bar was simply delicious! We arrived early and were greeted warmly at the door, and promptly seated outside on their lovely patio overlooking the Ocoee River. The owner came to our table, welcomed us and suggested a Beaujolais. We took him up on it, and loved it. My wife opted for the evening special: Coq au vin, accompanied by delicious potatoes and green beans. I chose the All Cattle & No Hat, thin strips of flat steak smothered in a savory mushroom sauce, served with an awesome potato cake and balsamic side green salad. Very disappointed in the quality and quantity of food vs the price. A child's chicken tender meal comes with two little tenders and a very small amount of fries for $10. My chicken quesadilla ($14) I am pretty sure has pre-cooked, packaged chicken (tasted rubbery and lacked flavor), and no fries or tots on the side, just a few shreds of lettuce and 3 tomato chunks. My son got the French dip sandwich ($19) and said the one from Arby's is way better. Nice setting by the river and the service was good. read more

We had my husband's 50th birthday party here last weekend and it was perfect! I live 2 hours away and the owners went above and beyond to help me with every detail. We had a party of 40 people that rode the train on from Blue Ridge and we were able to reserve a portion of the back deck for our time in McCaysville. We had live music, a customized buffet and a private open bar. I can't express how grateful I am to the staff there. Major menu changes not shown on their website for visit with 8 friends visiting from out of town this past Monday caused a disappointing experience. Friends wanted shrimp and grits, lasagna, and ribs among others not available on their new menu as shown on their website. Their meat balls and Italian items were always good. The fried sampler appetizer was hardly edible, Must have been all frozen items. The mozzarella strips were the only really good item on the platter. . What started off as a great Sunday go to spot has now become a just average spot. On Sunday 6/29 we were looking for another great experience for drinks and food. Well things could not have been worse. Drink orders took way too long, one dinner came out and after 3 to 4 minutes we asked about the other dinner, the answer is "I don't know when it will be ready "! After 10 additional minutes the 2nd order came out. FF were soggy, wings were less than average. Which was better than the table next to us where the wings were raw at the bone. Note to owners, beer orders should come out in 3 to 5 minutes, never run out of hot sauce. Question, we will go back maybe. Incredible food and service! This is also the MOST dog friendly restaurant we've ever been to. I don't know who enjoyed dinner more, our lab or us. Joe, our waiter was fast and attentive. These folks are super sweet and our server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the fried green tomatoes ($16) for four small slices that arrived perfectly breaded, but were mushy inside. The Chicken Parm sandwich, advertised as breaded with mozzarella and marinara, arrived in chunks on a hamburger bun with a slice of deli mozzarella sort of on top. We requested marinara on the side. What we ordered according to the menu and what arrived were completely different. We told the chef about the tomatoes and after a point it is difficult to complain further. we took the scenic train into town and decided to stop here for lunch since it was on the water. The atmosphere was great but the food left a lot to be desired. There were 4 of us and our food did not come out all together and my husband was completely finished before my daughter's pasta arrived. I ordered the chicken BLT and it was simply the frozen chicken strips with bacon and cheese on top. my meal arrived later and it was not even warm and the cheese was not even melted. Fun place, good service, beautiful view and a great variety on menu. However, too much of the food is straight from frozen food service items. I judge a bar by its French fries. The ones here are not real potatoes that were cut in house - they were poor quality frozen ones. Much of what we ate was of "meh" quality and taste. The food is not the draw here. read more

But the food for prices is not it. Yes it was good, but it was pretty overpriced. I got a Steak Sandwich for $18?! It wasn't even a big sandwich either.
