It was a cold day and we were looking forward to some Colombian cuisine which was new to us. The place was easy to overlook as the signage didn't really stand out. And more construction is ongoing along Hwy 301 further obscuring visibility into this location. In any case, this is not a "sit down" restaurant as we had to place our order before sitting down. We previously checked out the menu online so we pretty much knew what we wanted to order. I ordered the Paisa Bowl ($17) and my wife tried their Steak and Papas bowl ($20). We also ordered French fries ($3.50) and a can of Coke Zero ($2.50). I thought service was a tad slow (there were maybe 5 tables occupied including us) but we were served our lunch soon enough. Our first impressions were good presentation but the portions were meager. The fried pork belly pieces were nice and crunchy but there weren't enough of them. The ground beef had good flavors and I liked the fried egg over the rice and beans. My wife liked the flavor of the beef, although a bit fatty for her taste, but found the potatoes a bit dry and wished they were French fries instead. Speaking of French fries, it was served with this savory dipping sauce but again, the serving portion was miserly. My wife thought the guacamole was nice and fresh, making it the best part of her meal. All in all, we came away liking the flavors but thinking the value and portions were lacking. Service was a bit detached as well. Lunch for 2 with tip came out to just over $51.

Being part of the parking structure doesn't mean that they validate your parking. If you can find street parking, definitely do that instead. I had the churassco med-well. It came with two sides, I had the tostones and salad. It was alright, but I definitely had better. I ordered it to eat it there and they put all the sauces in to-go containers, which was weird. The sauces were in such tiny containers, you definitely would need more. My friend got the mushroom arepa and a side of the sweet plantains that she really enjoyed. Service was good. The girl taking our order was super nice and polite. It was more like one step up from fast/food and self-served. You order at the counter and they give you a number for your table and they bring out the food to the table and you clean up after yourself.

The restaurant itself wasn't too large and had a bathroom in the back. They were able to clear a table for us and sat us down in good time. A man (possibly the owner?) came up to take our order and was very sweet asking us about our day how we were doing. Both my mom and I ordered the Churrasco la Estancia (my mom subbed plantains instead of fries) and my sister ordered the Pescado a lo Macho since she was craving fried fish. The churrasco was amazing, perfectly cooked, seasoned well and so so good with the chimichurri(?) sauce on top. My mom let me try some of her plantains and I wish I got those instead of my fries! We all loved the rice as well, something about the soft, flavorful fluffiness of it made it great. My sister was also very content with her fried fish and we were both pleasantly surprised by the fish stew that came with it. The type of plantains she got with that dish weren't our favorite though. The food came out in good time, but we had to come up and ask for the check because one of the waitresses was busy talking to another customer. Overall the food was great though and I told my mom I'd love to come again the next time we visit the area!
